say what again? I love the show, but twenty seasons? come on! this ain't no soap.
ReplyDeletei dont think he meant that litearal i think he was just saying it wont end for a long time when the show is ready to end
ReplyDeleteI hope that his statement was ironical.
ReplyDeletei think it was
ReplyDeleteHis most telling statement in the article is "We won't stop it until it's ready to stop" which means absolutely nothing and it could end tomorrow if it was ready.... or in 10 years. So no matter how much praise he has at the moment.... he is pure network executive in the end.
ReplyDeleteOf course it was... he was just saying HBO are in for the long haul :D which is good news!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice they won't limit how many seasons it has, but at best its a non-committal committal.
ReplyDeleteAnything that's not 'non-committal' is a good thing nowadays!! :P
ReplyDelete20 season is waaaaaaay too much but I certainly hope they get at least 7 or 8 seasons to finish the boooks one book a season.
ReplyDeleteI say just keep making them until they finish telling the stories from the books.
ReplyDeleteI just hope that i get to see the RW from ASOS on screen.Fans will know what I am talking about !
ReplyDeleteYes, but also I think he meant, even if there's gonna be two or three years between one season and the other because of the books, HBO is gonna support the show.
ReplyDeleteAssuming he was joking about "20 years" then YAY!!! It can only get better as it goes through the books.
ReplyDeleteSince they're committed to it, maybe the'll make the seasons less far apart :)
Only 8 books? I think you're being stingy LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm definitelly leaning towards 9... maybe even 10.
All kidding aside, and regardless of how many books GRRM ends up writing, I *am* hoping that they manage to burn through all the books in the show.
I'm honestly thinking the plan is they'll break down SoS in two seasons (the RW being the finale of the first part), as was implied in ComicCon, AND combine FfC and DwD timeline-wise, and break those down in 2 or even 3 seasons.
It will even give GRRM time to catch up with his writing ;P
I hope it has a long run too :)
