Matt Smith and Karen Gillan were at Comic-Con in San Diego last week to talk to their fans about Part 1 of the 6th season (7 episodes) of Doctor Who, so they stopped by Los Angeles to say hi to Craig Ferguson, who's a big Doctor Who fan (he even has a Tardis on his desk) and whom they met a few months ago, and both had a great time. Okay, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan were planning on sticking around LA anyway but still, they don't do american talk shows except Craig's.On the record, they're on the Late Late Show to promote part 2 of season 6 (6 episodes). The Doctor and Amy Pond return on Saturday, August 27st, on BBC and BBC America. Actually, Matt Smith shot his appearance on Monday but it didn't air until Friday, whereas Karen Gillan went in GP and The Fergs' creepy basement on Tuesday afternoon and it aired the same day. Both segments are very fun (as always with Craig's show). As Geoff would say, "EXTERMINATE !" :

ReplyDeleteKaren Gillan is so cute. She seems a little nervous (as Craig pointed out, it was like she was caught in a storm on her chair), but that makes her even more adorable. What great metaphor they did with snooker/porn, and for once someone asks Craig how he wants to end the interview, that's so sweet.
ReplyDeleteAnd Matt Smith's interview was pretty good too. He got caught in a space-time continuum, saying that Karen Gillan will be on the show very soon whereas she was on 3 days before him. The DW song with Craig feat. Matt Smith beatboxing was awsum. Craig is a die-hard fan of Doctor Who but it's niice to see Matt is a fan of Craig too, talking about Kristen Bell's wrath against Geoff. I really hope Craig will make a guest appearence in Doctor Who, it would make me want to start watching this show even more.
Having watched every possible interview with either of them I think it's just how Karen is.
