    I believe it's the metaphor of season 4/5.  Dean sleeps with an angel.  Sam sleeps with a demon.  Dean is the vessel for Michael.  Sam is the vessel for Satan.  Dean has glowing light around his head.  Sam has a snake around his arm.  

    Basically it fit before but it is completely wrong for season 6 and beyond.  Let's hope the new head of CW will get some new promo pictures stat.  That would be another positive sign that the CW is heading in the right direction.

    Oh, I'm totally going to have to make sure I get one of the Supernatural ones! That may not be my favorite pic of the boys, but I'm just ecstatic to see our show on a bag! And it really does stand out!

    This pic really reminds me more of Season 5 than anything else, playing up the Lucifer angle (gotta be where the snake comes from).

    The way i saw it it was a metaphor for Souless Sam, he was a real snake, vicious, attacking behind your back when you least expected, dangerous and all

    It's not here, but here's a picture. I read that there's going to be a limited number of bags from the alternate universe, but no picture on those.

    Hmm...good theory.  I kind of like that.  The real reason is probably because the CW is too cheap to change it, but Supernatural fans can make anything tie back to SPN.  We're just that good.

    i would think the snake are because of the the devil. going back to adam and eve in the garden of eden when the devil came to eve as a snake. tha'ts just my take on it anyway
