A small taster for you, the level 1 badge is Ellen Harvelle:
Hey Supernatural Fans,
We're beginning to progress further with the Badgeville badges, and Supernatural is to be our first go at create a show specific badge, where you score points and badges for engaging in posts that are solely Supernatural based.
Of course we need to design the badges for this, and seeing as you as fans are quite opinionated on who is a great character and who is not, we thought we'd let you pick the faces that will be on the badges.
First things first. Dean Winchester & Sam Winchester are not in the poll. To avoid any arguments on who is the best brother I will draw the order which they appear on the badges randomly. Of course, they will be levels 9 and 10...
All you need to do is vote for the characters you feel are most worthy of a place on the eight remaining badges... You can select up to 5 characters... I've included all the characters who have been in 4 or more episodes, bu if there's someone else you want to nominate, stick him in the other option :D The top eight nominations will appear on the badges in that rank order!
Remember to vote for 5, and whilst your at it you can comment below on who you chose and why...

Bobby and Cas. The Four of them were the essence of the show in the last couple of seasons.

When I read that I can vote for 5 characters, I thought to myself that that is more than enough... then I looked over the list and started to curse^^ this show has just to many good characters^^

I put the Ghostfacers as a group for Other. And you could always put Sam & Dean together in 2 different images. to make 9 & 10

ReplyDeleteAs for other characters, you can add them into the other section if you want to vote for them... I'm not going to make a poll with every character ever in Supernatural as it would be ridiculously big...
Actually if I were able to vote for more than 5, I would have chosen Ben. It's all people's opinion which is why I am glad that they are giving us the opportunity to choose who will be on our badges. It's an awesome honor because quite frankly it would be easier for them to just chose some icons and randomly place them. I'm also happy that Dean and Sam are not in the poll because that would take up 2 of my votes. Adam already said they are the top two levels so no need to start a brother war.
ReplyDeletePersonally I hope John Winchester is not one of the badges. If he is, it's good motivation to get through that level as quickly as possible for me. However, I would hardly call a vote for him worthless. It's insulting to those people who like that character. Vote who you want to, but please don't insult others who have a different view.
I voted Bobby, Cas, John, Mary and Jo and I am very happy to see that Crowley and the Trickster are doing well in the poll. I had those two and Mary and Jo as options to vote for and thought Crowley and the Trickster would get enough votes either way. I guess I was right.

ReplyDeleteFor those who weren't around, we had an awesome debate here on Spoiler last year on whether the Impala is a character or not. The overwhelming majority say she most definitely IS a character - in fact I wrote an article about that for our website recently.Bobby, Cas, Crowley and Ellen - I've added the Impala in 'other'Thanks so much for keeping Sam and Dean out of this - it would've been a blood bath.

I picked endearing characters (is endearing the right word for this show?) Which, of course included Bobby. I'm surprise more people didn't vote for Rufus. I loved that guy.
ReplyDeleteOf course the Impala should be a choice. She's got universe-level standing. And who wouldn't want an Impala badge. Of course, people may not want to move past that level. :-P
ReplyDeleteI voted for Rufus. He's funny, but my guess is that with his limited on-air time many people will vote for others who have been a bigger part of the mythology.

ReplyDeleteDamn, I didn't even think about the Impala until you mentioned it, but of course. She should definitely be an option. And she's definitely been an important character in at least 4 episodes. (The Impala should be the badge for level 8. I probably didn't think about it 'cause it's a car and obviously not a living character, but it should be in it, definitely.)

ReplyDeleteIt is too difficult to vote for just 5... You kind of have to have Bobby and Castiel. But, then again John is also essential. Where would the boys be without him... Then, we have Mary... not really my favorite character, but essential to the plot. That doesn;t leave a lot of room for flexibility. I would love to have Crowley, Lucifer, Chuck, Balthazar and the ever annoying Meg... But, then I desperately would love to have Ruby and Allistair. How can you list bad guys and not list Allistair, Lucifer, Lilith, and Azazel. Gosh, maybe I'll vote later.

ReplyDeleteI think Bobby and Cas are pretty much guaranteed a spot. xD I went with those two plus John, Ellen and Crowley. I think it would be cool to have each level as different hunters which is why I went with Bobby, John and Ellen, but I also think Cas and Crowley have become such a big part of the show that they should get a badge too.

I voted, first of all, for John and Mary Winchester as they are essential to the back story of Sam and Dean --- then for the Impala which is just as important!
ReplyDeleteThe bad guys are important too, so Azazel who started the whole thing off , and Lucifer with whom it ended.
I would suggest to use Level 9 or 10 for the Impala and then the remaining level (10 or 9) for The Winchesters (Sam and Dean), so that nobody has to see that their favorite brother is surpassed by the other brother.
ReplyDelete3 easy ones for me were castiel, bobby and the trickster. i voted those 3 without hesitation. but i found choosing the next 2 very hard.
ReplyDeletei couldnt' decide between characters i thought desereved to be on the badges and characters i just really liked. in the end i went with blathazar because he was awesome this season as the new friend angel
and azazel, because he truly is supernatural. he was the first big bad and the most unstoppable one they've faced, seeing as how it took them 2 full seasons and the loss of both john and sam almost dean to defeat him. azazel was the best demon. i know people love crowely but azazel was way more evil and creepy and demon-ey. will we ever fnd out why he had yellow eyes? or was it just that he was super evil?
i compelely agree, i liked ruby in season 3. it was just season 4 ruby i hated. maybe it wa the actress (not that i don't like genevieve, i just preffer katie cassidy) or the change in character, i just thought season 3 ruby was much better

ReplyDeleteGlad you liked Jus in Bello. It is one of my favorites and not just because it did a tremendous job of moving the mytharc forward. I thought the writing and pacing were awesome and loved the Pip's. All around an excellent show. Just be prepared because in my opinion the rest of season 3 is all downhill from there thanks to the writer's strike.
So someone needs to get to level 10 quickly so that we can get the Impala added? You chose the right fandom for that. We'll think of it as a call to arms. :-)

I gave my other votes to john, because he was once so important to the show; Anna, because she was probably my favorite female character; trickster, who should be in the shoe-in category; and meg. I was torn between meg and ruby, but I decided I like meg more.
