Syfy's three-hour Monday night lineup got off to a fast start.
Rookie drama Alphas, led by David Strathairn, was the cable network's most-watched series debut since 2009, delivering 2.5 million viewers following veteran series Eureka and Warehouse 13. At 10 p.m., 1.2 million belonged to the ad-coveted adults 18-49 demographic and 1.3 million were in the older 25-54 demo.
Alphas' debut was the network's higgest-rated since Warehouse 13 premiered July 7, 2009 with 3.5 million.
The third season opener of Warehouse 13 lured 2.3 million at 9 p.m., with 1 million in 18-49 and 1.2 million in 25-54, proving to be a solid lead-in for Alphas. Opening the night, Eureka's Season 4.5 return attracted 2 million, with 893K in 18-49 and nearly 1 million in 25-54.

It will be impressive if they can keep 2/3 of these ratings. I thought it was slow and will likely not watch the next episode.
ReplyDeleteI watch SyFy for the other two shows so I'll let Alphas grow on me, I liked it personally, though it was a bit slow.
ReplyDeleteAlphas was okay. Nothing groundbreaking but it does show glimmers of promise... I just hope it doesn't fall into the cliched characters it's beginning with and CSI-like formula.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this show yesterday :)
ReplyDeleteThe pilot for an hour-long show was extended to ninety minutes. It was bound to be relatively slow and expository. I'll wait until I see a few episodes at regular length before I make a final judgment.
ReplyDeletei thought Alphas was great, loved it :D
ReplyDeleteImpressive but I don't think that it has that sustaining power in weekly ratings. Next week will be the test
ReplyDeleteThe show was good specialy the power of the caracter. For the installlment episode it's was okay I hope to see more energy on the next episode. We must give them more time for development. Keep going SYFY
ReplyDeleteI watched the premiere of Alphas and it was boring and sucked. I may give it one more try.
