  1. Busy Phillips - Cougar Town
    Julie Bowen - Modern Family
Mayim Bialik - The Big Bang Theory
    Holland Taylor - 2.5 Men
Betty White - Hot in Cleveland
    Jane Lynch - Glee

Odd year in this category for me. No one stood out like a normal year. Jane Lynch and Julie Bowen are seemingly favorites year to year, Busy Phillips really grew into her character on Cougar Town, Betty White was everywhere this last year, Mayim Bialik returned to sitcom TV with a Big Bang and Holland Taylor stole every scene she was in... as she normally does.

I guess If I chose I would give it to Busy or Bialik, but if I had to guess it will go to Julie Bowen.

  2. I'd submit Christa Miller from Cougar Town also, she is funny as hell on that show!

  3. Naya was fantastic this year on Glee. Whether it was her voice, or her acting as the slowly out-of-the-closet teen, she was fabulous.

  4. Alison Brie was phenomenal on Community and is without question my pick in this category. Would be a shame if Emmy voters overlook her (or Community) again.

  5. Alison Brie all the way! She got to do some fantastic stuff on Community last season.

  6. Eve Best without a doubt.  She really doesn't get much glory because of Edie (totally deserved) but she is really the reason why I watch the show.  I <3 O'Hara

  7. Busy Philipps- Go JellyBean!
    Julie Bowen
    Allison Hannigan

  8. Here are the 6 Emmy-worthy supporting actresses I would nominate :

Jenna Fischer — Pam (The Office).
    Alison Brie — Annie (Community).
Rashida Jones — Ann (Parks and Recreation).
Julie Bowen — Claire (Modern Family).
Mayim Bialik — Amy (The Big Bang Theory).
Jane Lynch — Sue (Glee, I may hate this show but I admit she's good).

And the Emmy goes to... Alison Brie ! She was outstanding. On Community you have a great opportunity to act in very different situations and genres (conspiracy, western, space, politics, heroic-fantasy, documentary, and much more), and Alison Brie was awesome every time (her castmates as well but she and Danny Pudi are the ones more likely to get nominated, in my opinion).

However, here are some actresses that would deserve a nomination too :

Shannon Woodward — Sabrina (Raising Hope).
Cloris Leachman — Maw Maw (Raising Hope).
Phylis Sommerville — Marlene (The Big C).
    Tamsin Greig — Beverly (Episodes).
Kaitlin Olson — Sweet Dee (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia).
    Katie
    Aselton — Jenny (The League).
Ellie Kemper — Erin (The Office).

    Rebecca Creskoff — Lenore (Hung).

  9. I was trying to think of Phylis Sommerville from The Big C.. she was amazing!

  10. Alison Brie
    Kaitlin Olson
    Katie Aselton
    Mayim Bialik
    Julie Bowen
    Christa Miller

My pick would also be Alison Brie. I doubt that she will even be nominated as most of "my" nominees, but she was really great this year on Community.

  11. We really need dramedy categories tbh

  12. She was great in her dramatic work as well as sarcastic humor.... but I agree.

A dramady category would be nice for those shows that always seems to miss out on the drama nominations since they are not dark or heavy enough drama to earn a nod, and those series that are not constantly funny throughout the hour to get a comedy nod.

Shows like Burn Notice, White Collar, In Plain Sight,  Castle etc might actually get a nomination or two if they had a dramadey category.

Not sure it would help Phylis since her role was rather small despite being brilliant, but I t would be great for hour long comedies like I listed.

Yes ^^ I like her :( Beside some other actresses on the list of course, but she has a lot of experience in acting and chemistry with Lauren Graham.

  15. I like her too.

I was joking and referring to an oft said line from Arrested Development where she played Ann Veal.

  18. Rivera, Lynch, Bialik, Best, and "Other"

"Others" - Kaitlin Olson (Always Sunny) and Phyllis Somerville (The Big C)

  19. No Gillian Jacobs? What a travesty! She's the best from Community.

  20. Alison Brie, Community, and Rashida Jones, Parks and Recreation.
Other: Amy Poehler, Parks and Recreation, but I'd be happy with Martha Plimpton or Cloris Leachman from Raising Hope.
    Who WILL win? Amy Poehler.

  23. I really think Naya Rivera should be nominated. In my opinion she performed incredibly in this season in Glee. She showed of her true talent and skills in both her dramatic and comedic performances.

I agree that there should be a dramedy section for shows that are sometimes as heavy in drama as they are in comedy. Like glee for example is mainly a comedy musical but there is a lot of drama as well which is what in my opinion Naya Rivera excelled in the most this season.

  24. Naya Rivera, Alyson Hannigan, Busy Phillipps and Julie Bowen.

  25. Naya Rivera, her storyline this season was amazing.  I knew she could act, but she blew me away when  Santana confessed her love to Brittany.  It was the most heartfelt scene on Glee.  Not to mention her voice, she's insanely talented.

  26. Sofia Vergara imo. Kinda wish Heather Morris was on here though. She saves the bad episodes for me because she is pretty funny even when she isnt doing anything.

  27. Naya Rivera was incredible on Glee this year. She gave the typical mean cheerleader a whole lot of debt and her acting skills are outrageous.
