30 Jun 2011

Much like yesterday today's poll was very tough to put together and I could only go by the shows I watch and what I read.

You can choose up to six people in each category. Also, who do you think should be nominated and who do you think will be nominated?

Sound off below in the comments after you've voted.

For comparison here are last year's nominees:

John Lithgow (Dexter) - Winner
Dylan Baker (The Good Wife)
Beau Bridges (The Closer)
Alan Cumming (The Good Wife)
Ted Danson (Damages)
Gregory Itzin (24)
Robert Morse (Mad Men)

You can still vote in previous polls:
Lead Actor & Actress in a Drama Series
Lead Actor & Actress in a Comedy Series
Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Supporting Actor in a Drama Series
Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Guest Actress in a Drama Series

  1. Devon Sawa as 'Owen' on Nikita... epic!  I hope they bring him back as a regular...

  2. Other: Brandon Jay McLaren! As the tragic Bennet Ahmed in The Killing, his performance brought me in turns to rage and sadness. (And yes, he is listed as guest star. I checked).

Michael J. Fox was outstanding in The Good Wife.

I also chose Jeremy Davies, Andre Royo, and Norman Reedus.

  3. MIchael J. Fox WAS awesome on The Good Wife. He's just brilliant in everything he's in it seems. :)

  6. Jack Huston - Boardwalk Empire
    Johnny Lee Miller - Dexter
    Jeremy Davies - Justified
    Brad William Henke - Jusitifed
    Andre Royo - Fringe
Norman Reedus - The Walking Dead

Some good choices there, but to me the LOST boys and Reedus were awesome! In the end though I would vote for Jack Huston.

Richard Harrow, The half-faced assassin in Boardwalk Empire was a revelation for me. One of the best characters of the year and maybe in years.

  7. About Brandon Jay McLaren!, He was great in The Killing. Good point.

  8. Andre Royo, Peter Weller, and Johnny Lee Miller.

  9. Norman Reedus in TWD was absolutely amazing, so I'd definitely go for him. He had the best performance of the show, IMO!

  10. Tim Roth in Criminal Minds season 5 finale and season 6 premiere!
    Muse Watson in NCIS!

  11. Norman Reedus! I have mentioned it before, my judgement may be clouded because the combo of a MacManus brother fighting zombies is just fucking awesome. Plus Daryl was definitely the best character on the show, he would be my front runner.

haven't seen Justified yet, but Brad William Henke always is a pleasure to watch as are Jeremy Davies and Michael J. Fox. Royo was great on Fringe, so those guys would be my other nominees.

  12. Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead)
    Jeremy Davies (Justified)
    Charles Dance (Game of Thrones)
    Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead)
    Jack Huston(Boardwalk Empire)

  13. Rooker was great as Merle!

I hadn't thought of Charles Dance as Tywin, but he was superb (if he fits under the guest category... II think he should). Good Choice.

  14. He is not regular in season 1. So i think he fits under it, because he also just were in 2 episodes. Charles Dance was an awsome casting for Tywin, perfect and perfect kind of guy.

  15. Jack Huston, Bruce Dern, Jeremy Davies, Johnny Lee Miller, Peter Weller, and "Other"

    Other - Bob Newhart (NCIS)

  24. Mark Sheppard - Crowley - Supernatural

  25. Heck they should just nominate Mark Sheppard - various roles and various projects.  He's awesome in everything he does.  I love him as Crowley, like hating him as Sterling, and look forward to savoring his role on Dr. Who when I get to see it.  Mark Sheppard deserves some Emmy love.

  26. Wait...Bobby Singer is still a guest star right?
Nobody should get a damn thing until that man gets his emmy.

  27. All the fandom of Fringe love Andre Royo. He is such a great actor, but Christopher Lloyd, who broke our hearts in the episode 'The Firefly', also has deserved to be in this list.

  28. Agreed!  Jim Beaver is a brilliant actor.
