  2. FX comedies simply live up to a very high standard. All of them are absolutely must see shows for me.

  3. I'm not sure what other FX comedies there are to be honest, as I'm from the UK. I recently discovered Louie and that's a pretty good show. Any others you'd suggest?

  4. Besides Louie and Wilfred FX has It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, which in my opinion is one of the best comedies ever. It's hard to descrive, but basically it's a show about a 5 totally wacky friends owning an Irish pub in Philly and having crazy adventures. The show will air its 7th season this September. I can only recommend it!

Then there is The League, a semi-scripted comedy about 4 friends who have a fantasy football league. But it's not so much about the specifics of fantasy football and really hilarious.

And of course there's Archer, an animated show about a spy agency. It currently is the best cartoon on the air imo.

I can only recommend all of them!

  5. I watched the first episode and I found it clever but not really all that funny.  When I watch a comedy and I find myself appreciating the effort more than I actually laugh I know it's going to be an uphill battle for me to stick with it.

  6. I meant to see the pilot but I was on vacation and forgot about it. Is this show worth checking out? I was really excited to hear the premise.

  7. I can't really recommend it at this point.  I'm going to give it a few more episodes and if it doesn't grow on me, I'm out.

  8. It wasn't actually the funniest episode, but definitely had its moments. I think a show like this just needed such a pilot episode to set things up. Confident this week it will be funnier.

  9. I've, of course, heard of It's Always Sunny, but never actually watched it or even knew what it was about, so I'll take a look and if I get into it, guess I'll have a lot of catching up to do!

The League sounds appealing from the fact you said "semi-scripted"
I always have a soft spot for shows that allow their actors to improvise.
I actually got suggested Archer a couple of weeks ago and started watching it, and it is brilliant. Didn't realise it was an FX show, lol.Thank you for your recommendations.
