    amazing visuals... i am wondering how they do it on a TV budget... I really hope the ratings are good cuz if they aren't, the whole thing would have been a colossal waste of money...

    people are already forming opinions probably cuz there is a very good chance this show might go the way that almost all new serialized shows are going....towards cancellation after one season...especially sci-fi shows....
    as for me, I will watch it...I'm a sucker for sci-fi shows...

    Hah, the producers are refusing to call it a "sci-fi" show, and it's instead a "family" show, as if that makes it more enticing. I think the main reason people are worried about it is mostly because of its many setbacks off-camera and especially the fact that it has a pretty horrible pedigree working behind the camera (Spielberg just producing, yet written and showrun by Brannon Braga, responsible for atrocities such as FlashForward and Treshold). David Fury who has had a much more successful history with  writing genre shows such as LOST and Buffy also left the show due to creative differences, making it even more likely that the show will quickly turn to crap. Despite this, I will atleast watch the pilot, but after almost having been in production for the last 2 years, I have my doubts it'll be any good.

    even if the show is moderately good, like most network shows, the serialized aspect will make sure that the ratings deplete quickly...
