Gilles Marini has signed up for a guest role on ABC Family series Switched at Birth.The drama follows two teenage girls, Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne (Katie Leclerc), who discover that they are living with the wrong families.Former Brothers & Sisters star Marini will play Angelo, Bay's birth father, in the upcoming first season finale, according to TV Line.
The actor played Luc Laurent on ABC's Brothers & Sisters until the show's cancellation last month. He has also appeared on Ugly Betty, Criminal Minds and Nip/Tuck, and played Dante in 2008's Sex and the City: The Movie.
Switched at Birth premiered earlier this month on ABC Family, attracting a record-breaking 3.3m viewers for the network. The show's season finale begins shooting next week and will air on August 8.
