Hey Guys,
Yesterday saw strong victories for White Collar & The Vampire Diaries, both of which saw easy victories in the end over Community and Breaking Bad respectively. For those interested, last years finalists Supernatural & The Vampire Diaries are currently the most voted for shows so far however The Vampire Diaries managed more votes in it's first round tie... Perhaps this makes the Vampire Show the new favourite for the title... only time will tell.
Today sees risque romantic-comedy Sex & The City challenge one of the most critically acclaimed gritty thrillers of the past few years in The Wire in a tie that's tough to call. Also featuring is mega-mystery hit and long time SpoilerTV favourite LOST challenging drama The OC in another tough tie...
The rules for, for anyone new to the competition is very simple. There will be new sets of shows against each other every day in a new set of polls... simply vote for your favourite and the show with the most votes will win that days poll and head into the next round.
Don't forget to spread the word, and tweet out the competition to friends as well as facebook liking the post...

The Wire as well... still only seen season one (shame on me :P) but it's good stuff.

ReplyDeleteThe Wire, one of the best shows ever, simply has to make it against Sex In The City. I don't think The Wire is able to make it very far in the competition, but I sure hope it survives this first round.
Lost, being probably my most favourite show ever, also gets the vote against The OC even though that show was guilty pleasure of mine.
Not a very hard choice today, since LOST and The Wire are my two favorites shows ever.

I've seen every ep of Sex and the City and none of The Wire. I'd STILL choose The Wire.

ReplyDeleteAh ! Today may be the only day of this round where both the choice in my bracket and the shows I vote for (which also have a shot at going to the 2nd round) are the same, and that goes for the 2 polls.
ReplyDeleteI chose Lost and the Wire in my bracket and I just voted for them now, because both are in my top 5 of the best dramas I've ever seen. Simply put, to me, they are masterpieces.
After Breaking Bad's cruel defeat yesterday (18%, come on, that's harsh), I'm glad some of my favourites dramas will undoubtedly go on in the competition.

ReplyDeleteHonestly, I think LOST is one of the most overrated shows ever. I was planning on voting against it, but there's no way the OC gets my vote. So I just pass the second poll.

ReplyDeleteMy vote for The Wire is more of a vote against SITC than it is a vote for The Wire. And I easily picked Lost over The OC even though I don't like voting against Taylor Townsend if I don't have to.
