Yesterday saw a strong win for House over True Blood, perhaps evidence what the old Doctor is still a force to be reckoned with... Certainly an improvement over his abysmal first round exit last year. Also there was a decent win for NCIS over The Big Bang theory, but will have to do a lot better if it wants to go any better than it's 9th place finish last year.
Today sees the finished shows return to the fore-front, with Dollhouse, well known for splitting love, hate, good ratings and bad ratings on a weekly basis taking on another show that grappled with critics and ratings in Pushing Daisies...
Also there is hugely popular comedy Arrested Developement taking on action thriller and long time FOX megahit 24... Both are quite tough to call, and expect some damage on the prediction competition front!
The rules for, for anyone new to the competition is very simple. There will be new sets of shows against each other every day in a new set of polls... simply vote for your favourite and the show with the most votes will win that days poll and head into the next round.

ReplyDeleteI have seen all those shows (Ok only a few episodes of Dollhouse). I voted Pushing Daisies and Arrested Development. IMO AD is the best comedy series ever!

This is one of the rare rounds where I like all shows almost equally. A bit tough to choose between Dollhouse & Pushing Daisies, but I went with the one I would most want to see new episodes of: Pushing Daisies.
ReplyDeleteAnd 24 was the first US dramatic series I seriously watched, and I enjoyed every season. I picked it over Arrested Development because I've only just started watching AD, and while very fun, it just can't compete with the awesomeness of Bauer and the rest of CTU in my heart.
Amazing description, this is exactly why I love 24 too, and I guess many more fans would agree with you.

ReplyDeleteArrested Development for sure. It was hilarious and I couldn't do 24 any more after the stupid cougar didn't eat Kim. C'mon cougar - she was right there in front of you.
I went with Dollhouse and Arrested Development, but I think 24 will win. Not sure why I went AD in the bracket other than it's one of the best comedies EVER.

ReplyDeleteStarting to realise that putting Arrested development beat 24 on my bracket was a very dumb idea...
I voted for Pushing Daisies it was a cute show and 24 was just plain awesome even in the last few years. It was just a different show when it first started. Each hour I was always on the edge of my seat
ReplyDeleteLove Pushing Daisies. One of my favorite shows of all time. Not that big of a Dollhouse fan, so that one was an easy vote for me.
ReplyDeleteArrested Development vs. 24... I love AD, but I haven't seen 24 yet (it's on my Instant Queue, but I just haven't gotten around to it). I hate to vote when I know 24 receives enough praise to potentially be better than AD, but I enjoyed AD too much to not vote for it, especially while it's losing.
