Spoiler TV: The Best TV Show Competition 2011 - Day 3 - Criminal Minds vs. Burn Notice & Dexter vs. Supernatural

15 Jun 2011

Hey Guys,

Day 2 threw up the first 'comeback' of the competition, 'Flashforward' having trailed for half of the day to 'Scrubs' found a way to pull it back and defeat the hospital sitcom and perhaps surprisingly make its way into Round 2. Also yesterday was a strong opening round from 'The X-Files' which comfortably saw off a tough challenge in 'Alias.' 'The X-Files' was a sleeper hit in last years competition, getting stronger & stronger as the rounds went on so keep an eye out on its progress...

Today sees the "big-gun" and current champion 'Supernatural' taking on the wickedly good 'Dexter' in a Round 1 killer tie. Can the critically acclaimed serial killer find a way past the hugely supported Winchester brothers... That would be tough but keep a close eye out. Also we have 'Criminal Minds' taking on 'Burn Notice' in a tie that is tough to call. Both polls therefore make for an exciting Day 3!

The rules for, for anyone new to the competition is very simple. There will be new sets of shows against each other every day in a new set of polls... simply vote for your favourite and the show with the most votes will win that days poll and head into the next round.

Don't forget to spread the word, and tweet out the competition to friends as well as facebook liking the post...
Also if you are taking part in the prediction competition, don't forget to follow your scores HERE We're already down to only 46 perfect brackets!!

All that's left to say, is good luck to every show...
... and let the battles begin!

  1. Haven't seen either show in the first poll.
Voted Dexter in the second one, but Supernatural will undoubtely win.

  2. I voted for 'Burn Notice' and for 'Dexter'...

But I have a lot of liking for 'Supernatural' and I'm doubting it'll need my one vote :P Dexter is just more critically acclaimed and deliciously dark...

Good luck to all shows though!
Poll will end at 10:45am GMT...

  3. Voted for Burn Notice although I love Criminal Minds. It was a tough decision. Supernatural obviously! :D

two of my favourite shows today so the first time ive actually been voting for shows i like
happily they're both winning now but there have only been 30 votes and criminal minds/burn notice is really close
supernatural and criminal minds all the way!!!

  6. Criminal Minds and Supernatural for me. :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. I voted for Burn Notice and Dexter.

I don't watch Criminal Minds and I've seen a couple of episodes of Burn Notice, and it seems like a fun show, so I voted for it. I could have not voted in that poll at all though.

I voted for Dexter, even if I know it's pointless, at least I hope he'll have a decent amount of votes. I think it's safe to say we can already start writing Dexter's eulogy... that's too bad, against a smaller show on this website Dexter would have had a genuine shot in this competition, or at least the show would have made it to to the 2nd round, and it deserves it imo.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Criminal Minds and Supernatural.
I think Supernatural will win without a doubt. But I think the other poll might end up being pretty close..
    And I'm already down to a 3/4 bracket :(

    ReplyDelete
  9. Burn Notice because it's made of Awesome <3, and Supernatural!

Loved the first season of Dexter though, I should catch up really

    ReplyDelete
  10. I like Criminal Minds and Burn Notice about the same...
As for the second poll: here's the first difficult poll of the competition for me. Dexter is undoubtedly one of the best characters in television history...It's overwhelmingly good, twisty, and heavy...But almost every other character on the show is so annoying I find myself wishing them an early grave... Supernatural has been my favorite show for about 6 years now, and it's done quite well in its 120+ episodes... I have to go with SPN on this one.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh wow... You haven't seen season 2 or season 4?
I was physically shaking halfway through season 4.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I've watched Burn Notice in the first season. Supernatural is the only one I follow.  Never miss an episode.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Criminal Minds and Supernatural for me!!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  14. Voted Burn Notice because I love Fiona and the Criminal Minds team never clicked for me.

Voted Supernatural because it's my favorite show and I found Dexter boring and disgusting - and yes, I watched a whole season, not just an ep or two, so I gave it long enough to hook me. It did just the opposite.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Cant believe so far i got everything right... hopefully Burn Notice and SPN will win today as well :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Supernatural and Dexter are my two favorite shows. And looking at the awards I'm so sad that SPN is so under appreciated... :(

    Oh well...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yeah, at least they are nominated for SOMETHING... It could be 0 Emmy noms.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Well,Criminal Minds in the first one,I've watched 4 seasons of it and it's pretty good! Also,I've never watched Burn Notice.

And,of course,Supernatural. It's only my favorite show ever..
That being said,I decided that during the summer I'll watch Dexter.I've been meaning to for a while and I hear very good things about it,so I'll definitely give it a try!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Any idea who will win the Stanley Cup tonight, Nostradamus? I hope the Bruins will make it, but my money is on the Canucks.

    ReplyDelete
  20.  You MUST watch Dexter. :P
    It's tv at its best.

    ReplyDelete
  21. :( Why why put Dexter and supernatural together... I love you Dex. but my heart is taken :P

    ReplyDelete
  22. I know I must, people just keep saying it to me...
And I promise you,I will!Once I'm done with my semester exams,I'll watch the first season of Game Of Thrones(which I hear is also excellent and it seems to be just my kind of thing) and then I'll start Dexter!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Vote Burn Notice it's the best show ever!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Criminal Minds! although i don't watch dexter or supernatural... i voted for supernatural...

    ReplyDelete
  25. exactly... Supernatural is one of my favorite shows, but it has such a big following on this site that it doesn't need my vote... :) Sad that Burn Notice is losing :(

    ReplyDelete
  26. why did you skip MASH vs Sopranos and Charmed vs Farscape? :P

    ReplyDelete
  27. I wondered that too but I'm glad since I will be gone and won't get to vote tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I also recommend Game of Thrones. :P
I spent all day yesterday watching the entire first season. lol

    ReplyDelete
  29.  Interesting. I missed that.
Maybe he wanted to jumpstart the amount of votes? lol

    ReplyDelete
  30. Supernatural always for me

    ReplyDelete
  31. I didn't skip it, technically :P I was always planning on doing Current, Finished, Current, Finished etc etc...

But when we put the draw into the system it flipped the bottom two round so they appeared Current, Finished, Finished, Current.

The MASH Sopranos etc etc... will be tomorrow :D

    ReplyDelete
  32. Dexter is so much better than Supernatural... way too much fanboys on here.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thoughts? And I hope you haven't seen 10 yet! If so, How? :P

    ReplyDelete
  34. Everybody got there own taste in shows its no right or wrong answer.

    ReplyDelete
  35. And let the bitterness begin.
At least he didn't say "This show is for 12-year old girls."
And by the way, I'm also a fanboy of Dexter.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I do think its no bitterness yet. lol
In oh I really hope nobody pull out the 12 year old girl card.
Supernatural average aged is 37 years old in mostly watched by males as well.

I watched Dexter too its cool, but my husband is Supernatural. lol

    ReplyDelete
  37. Supernatural all the way!!
I don't care what people say, for me it still is the best show ever and forever keeping a special spot in my heart. When it finally ends one day... damn, I don't even wanna think about it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. This is the easiest round of all for me because it contains 2 of my favorite shows and for once they aren't against each other.

Burn Notice - I love the action, humor, and how the main characters interact together.  There's something appealing about a group of ex-military taking down the bad guys for everyday folks.  Besides, it has Fiona the ex-IRA bomber to add a bit of the "fun" crazy, and every show needs that.  Plus Bruce Campbell.

Supernatural - My favorite show on air.  In fact, it has been my favorite show for the last 6 years.  It's look at how the brother relationship survives through trials that would break all others is compelling.  Mostly though, it's the only show that I watch that can have me laughing at the snark, cringing at the scares, sniffling at the touching moments, captivated at the action, and thoroughly grossed-out at the gore all in one 42-minute block that I look forward to every week.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wow, this poll was easy...
Supernatural and Burn Notice - two of my favorite shows.

    ReplyDelete
  40. This is the most ignorant statement I've come across in a long time.

Everyone knows Supernatural has infinitely more fangirls than fanboys. JEEZ.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I was so sure Scrubs would win last round! But I still think my brackets are pretty solid, but maybe I should have done some research first :( TEAM SUPERNATUAL! \o/

    ReplyDelete
  42. I voted for Criminal Minds and of course my favorite TV show Supernatural. Supernatural FTW!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I haven't seen Burn Notice, and Criminal Minds isn't amazing enough for me to feel safe that it definitely deserves the spot over its opponent, so I didn't vote between them.

Gotta give it to Supernatural over Dexter though. As good as Dexter can be, Supernatural is one of my favorite shows, while Dexter is just a good show that I watch. Supernatural has had 5 and a half great seasons, while Dexter has had 2 and a half great seasons. Supernatural is more fantastically-driven and serialized in its mythology (both of which I prefer). Dexter may be more serialized from episode to episode, but it makes way too much use of its new-season-reset-button.

    ReplyDelete
  44. You have great taste!  :-)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Criminal Minds and Supernatural!

    ReplyDelete
  46. okey so i have a feeling... don't beat me up about it . it may or may not get deleted but who cares. i think that whoever is running this site is obviously rigging every competition so supernatural wins. anyone else think so.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Actually, not according to Nielsen.  In ratings, Supernatural is 50/50 between males and females.  Check it out here:

    http://geekfurious.blogspot.com/2011/06/what-geek-tv-show-has-youngest-viewers.html

    ReplyDelete
  48. Nope.  Just a large amount of Supernatural fans follow SpoilerTV.  You can tell by how many comments, Twitter accounts, and FB likes the Supernatural portion of this site has.  Plus, the Supernatural fandom has a large online fanbase that is very active in talking to each other and promoting Supernatural.

    ReplyDelete
  49. If you like Supernatural, you might want to check out Burn Notice and White Collar.  Supernatural is by far my favorite but BN and WC are solid choices.  They are fun and best yet, they air largely when SPN is on hiatus so it helps bridge the downtime.

    ReplyDelete
  50. how so? LOL
Most of us running the site don't even watch Supernatural

    ReplyDelete
  51. Burn Notice all the way.  Voted for Dexter because it is one of my friends favorite shows.

    ReplyDelete
  52. SUPERNATURAL FOREVER!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Cool. I've had someone recommend White Collar to me before, but I hadn't yet checked it out. Thanks for the recommendations!

    ReplyDelete
  54. *The entire season up to episode 9.
    :P

    ReplyDelete
  55. Wow, really?
    I'm legitimately surprised by that.

    ReplyDelete
  56. lol
Well, if you spent more time around here you would know for a fact that's not true.
Also, realize that you are insulting someone who has put a lot of effort into organizing this event for people to have fun, and on a sidenote that someone also is NOT an avid fan of Supernatural.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Supenat just hit 1000 votes.
Man, it's got a lot more steam behind it this year.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I thought season 1 was good but wasn't hooked until season 2, when the police found Dexter's victims and the hunt for "the Bay Harbor Butcher" was on. Which means, they were hunting Dexter. It was so awesome. lol

    ReplyDelete
  59. I knew what you were going to vote for before I knew what I was going to vote for when I saw "Burn Notice" and "Supernatural" in the brackets. lol

    ReplyDelete
  60. SPN, best show ever! Am quite addicted to it like no other tv shows!

    ReplyDelete
  61. I would say that the online fanbase does lean more female, but as far as Nielsen goes, it's even.  I like that!

    ReplyDelete
  62. How the hell can't Criminal Minds be leadning? Something is seriously wrong with this world...

    ReplyDelete
  63. White Collar is about Peter and Neal and although they are not brothers at all and in no way have the Winchester bond, in season 2 they acted like brothers.  Peter is the diligent older brother and Neal the mischievous often in trouble younger brother.  Much of their conversation reminds me of the brotherly banter on my favorite shows.  I'm a sucker for brother shows.

However, the real big plus for White Collar is that they have some of the best secondary characters I've ever watched.  Mozzie is made of awesome and is actually my favorite character.  Elizabeth puts other TV wives to shame.  She's strong, loyal, smart, and one of the more rounded secondary female characters on TV today.

Bottom line, it's a fun show with great characters.  I hope you get a chance to see it.  If you check it out, let me know what you think.  Season 2 was the best although this season is shaping up to be spectacular as well.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Pretty sure Adam has finished season 2, although we have yet to see a season 2 reaction.  Hmm, after the contest ends perhaps?  (nudge, nudge)  Dying to know what you thought of the last 3 episodes of season 2 Adam.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Love to see it hit over 1500.  We've got some tough competition coming if my predictions pan out so I'm glad to see the word go out so quickly.  We'll need it IF we get a round 2 of the X-Files and LOST battles.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah those were some toughies last year. But SPN did beat out X Files and then LOST back to back last year so it's been done before.

    ReplyDelete
  67. It probably won't be the last time you cry to the tv Gods on this competition :P

    ReplyDelete
  68. Will do. Hopefully I'll get to it sooner rather than later.

    ReplyDelete
  69. You voted for Supernatural even though you don't watch it? I'm interested to know why you don't watch it?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Supernatural for me (now there's a surprise!!!)
I love it - interesting characters and relationships, truly scary moments interspersed with hilarious humor, snark and cleverly written plot twists. And its not afraid to laugh at itself - a major fault of many, many other tv shows.
SPN keeps me hooked when other shows get boring, or repetitive, or just never hook me in in the first place

    ReplyDelete
  71. geordiegirl196715 June 2011 at 20:34

    Go SPN!

    ReplyDelete
  72. I've only seen occasional episodes of both Criminal Minds and Burn Notice, but I've enjoyed Burn Notice just that *little* bit more at times. Either way, though, they're both pretty good, from what I've seen. Poll 2, though, even though, yeah, Dexter's great and all ... It's got to be SPN :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. haha, my money is on Canucks as well ;)

    ReplyDelete
  74. geordiegirl196715 June 2011 at 20:56

You are preaching to the choir Dahne. I love White Collar. It is a really fun show with great characters and smart storylines. The vibe between Peter and Neal is great. They are no Sam and Dean but it is still a nice relationship.

    ReplyDelete
  75. geordiegirl196715 June 2011 at 20:59

I'm afraid the facts don't support your prejudice DV. Many men love SPN. Men may be more lurkers than posters in the online fandom, but in the wider viewership for the show there are as many men as women - much to the disappointment of the CW I am sure as they value the young women demo very highly, and actively try to attract that audience.

    ReplyDelete
  76. LOL. sorry to say, but as far as i know we win almost every poll out there, not just on spoiler tv. the fandom is absolutely bonkers, that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  77. i genuinely feel sorry for the fandoms competing against supernatural. that being said, it's my favourite show and i didn't like the few episodes of dexter that i saw (surely there must be something wrong with me because pretty much everyone adores the show) so it shouldn't be much of a surprise that i voted for spn. also criminal minds because even though i've only seen one ep i loved adam/amanda and i have never heard of burn notice.

    ReplyDelete
  78. We are the Supernatural Fandom. We are legion. We are everywhere. But we do not have friends in high places at SpoilerTV.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Holy crap.

WHERE ARE THESE MEN HIDING? VIOLUE WANTS A MAN.

    ReplyDelete
  80. These two responses have been quite eye-opening. I wonder how the male fans can be lured into the clusterfuck that is the online fandom :D

    ReplyDelete
  81. What in the hell is with the median ages in this chart?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Well the competition is null and void already, just knock every show out and put overrated fandom oh I mean supernatural as the winner, single handedly one of the worst and must underwhelming tv shows I've ever watched. Never mind real classics like the West Wing, Sopranos, The Wire, 24, Fringe, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and the X Files

    ReplyDelete
  83. I just voted for Dexter because I love the acting quality, but I'm happy with Supernatural winning. I also think it's a forgone conclusion that SPN will get more votes because it's on the CW and not HBO. HBO is a premium channel that you usually have to pay extra for, whereas (at least here in my case) the CW is in the standard "Digital Cable" package.

    ReplyDelete
  84. NOOOOO!!! How can I vote for two great shows like Dexter and Supernatural?! While both shows are equally great, I can only vote for one so that leaves me with Supernatural!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Ok thats your problem perhaps your comment is overated.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Well,it's always a matter of personal taste..You don't like Supernatural.Of the shows you mentioned I like a couple,but I really don't like Fringe.
    I'm not saying it's a bad show,I simply don't like it.
    Simple as that!

    ReplyDelete
  87. How can someone overrate a fandom?
Surely a show could be overrated, but a fandom? Never heard of that.

    ReplyDelete
  88. okay I wouldn't say I'm upset over a competition lol and I'm not being bitchy I just don't really understand all the hype. Supernatural is an okay show I just have never been wowed by it like the shows I have mentioned. It is saved by the acting from Jensen Ackles and Jim Beaver and their characters Dean and Bobby but the shows itself has always been repetitive since nearly every single  mythology based story involve deals with demons, Sam makes a deal then Dean makes a deal then John Winchester makes a deal then Sam makes another deal then Dean doesn't like this and goes to another demon and makes a deal and goes to hell etc. I just couldn't believe how popular it was on here as its always been in the list of least favourite shows. And I meant the fandom makes the show seem overrated lol

    ReplyDelete
  89. Ok all those shows you listed do the same thing as well, and this is coming from a Buffy Fan. lol
In this statement you made about the deals the guys make go round in round is way off that is not what the show is about.
In John Winchester been dead since season 2 we have just finshed season 6.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Predicted: Supernatural
    Voted: Dexter

    ReplyDelete
  91. Ah, some good discussion.  Just what this contest is for.  First off, I'm assuming you have watched a good deal of Supernatural since you know about the characters and deals.  And I agree that many of the shows you mentioned are great shows.  SPOILERS ENSUE

The mytharc in Supernatural has followed a general pattern.  Season 1 - find John.  Season 2 - find YED.  Season 3 - Save Dean from a demon deal.  Season 4 - Save Sam from himself and keep Lucifer (angel not demon) from rising.  Season 5 - Stop the Apocaylpse.  Season 6 - Stop Eve (Mother of All Monsters) and Cas (self-appointed god).  I haven't found that repetitive for me, mostly because of the wide-variety of stories told within the season, including the standalones.

While demon deals have often been the catalyst for the main events, there is a lot more to the story.  Also, many more monsters have been showcased than just demons.  In fact, angels have been the biggest obstacles for quite a while now.  The Winchesters even worked with a demon to take down Lucifer.  Quite frankly, demons have taken a back seat with the angel story arc and I will be glad to move on from it.

I find your comment interesting because usually when people complain that Supernatural is repetitive, they are talking about the more stand-alone natural of season 1.  I happened to like that format better than the heaviness of the end of season 4 and all of season 5 but I'm in the minority.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I even voted for Burn Notice just for you, Dahne! I stopped watching it a couple years ago. Got bored. Sorry. :) But I've never watched Criminal Minds, so I didn't feel bad.

As for Dexter or SPN. Duh. :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Fan-base online certainly feels more female oriented to me... know a few guys who love it though.

    ReplyDelete
  94. What makes it obvious that I would be rigging the polls?

Oh of course, it's because I came about the site because of my love for LOST.
Or maybe the fact I'm the Fringe & House show expert on the forum.
Ahhh... it's because I write regular Fringe reviews and articles...
Or maybe it's the time I did a 24 Marathon for charity.

    Yep. You got me :P

    ReplyDelete
  95. Haha. I've finished season two a while back. I'll do a review/article on it over the next month whilst the comp is on :)

Season three will have to wait a little while. Got a lot of shows on and a lot of other stuff on as well.

(I've seen upto episode 3.07 I think. Where Walker loses his head! :D)

    ReplyDelete
  96. Aw, thanks friend!  You can vote against it next round if it's Burn Notice vs. Supernatural.

    ReplyDelete
  97. So when Fringe starts winning by 1,000+ I can pull out the conspiracy theories?  You know they are just beginning.  :-P

    ReplyDelete
  98. I'm rewatching Supernatural and the thing that confuses me most is how did Sam and Dean's dad survive the night when their mom died. After John tells Dean to run with Sam and get out of the house, he goes back into the room to try and save Mary. But the fire spreads everywhere. And it really does look like the fire gets John. Has anyone ever thought that was a bit strange?

    ReplyDelete
  99. I suppose I get what you mean, even though I find SPN no more repetitive than Buffy or Angel or Fringe and especially the X-Files.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Dexter is on Showtime.
Also, I believe currently both shows have the same amount of viewers (around 2.0-2.5 million) and btw more people watch HBO than the CW.

    ReplyDelete
  101. It's the magic of editing...it's sort've a trick to lead the viewer along... You'll notice in many many many shows/movies, time is skewed to show what the producers want you to see.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Yeah, I figured as much but when it comes to movies, TV, books, etc, nothing is what is seems so I was a bit curious :)

    ReplyDelete
  103. Well, we turned out to be wrong, but I'm happy about it, I like the Bruins.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Sad but true.  Hopefully Ringer can turn that around and the CW can start getting ratings  that other networks don't laugh at.  Reading their press releases where they grasp for something positive to say is just sad.

    ReplyDelete
  105. During the season 1 hiatus, there were all kinds of theories including one that John was possessed by something for 22 years and one were he was transformed.  I agree with Wilson though.  It seems editing is the most likely theory.  He probably slithered out underneath the flames.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I was actually surprised when I just checked and Criminal Minds WASN'T leading. Although in Australia, Burn Notice was on for a season then disappeared so maybe I'm just not aware of how big it is. I think both are great shows but I'm a Criminal Minds fan (unless it wins this round in which case I have to vote Supernatural)

    ReplyDelete
  107. this is killing me.... Dexter is by far the better show but it is gonna loose to supernatural, because of unusually high number of people on this blog who love supernatural.... it would have been better to see this match up in the final...

seriously, its like every competition is won by supernatural related stuff even when it does not deserve it...

    ReplyDelete
  108. NOOOO!!!!!!!  NNNNOOOOO!!!!!

Don't make me choose between Supernatural and Dexter.

    I don't think I can do it.  :-D

    ReplyDelete
  109. Yeah, since the captain of bruins is from Slovakia , their win makes me extremely happy :)

    ReplyDelete
  110. geordiegirl196716 June 2011 at 10:59

If we all liked the same things the world would be a dull place, but your opinion is just that danco - your opinion. It is not fact. And have you ever stopped to wonder why SPN has such a huge and passionate fanbase? Do you think we all have nothing better to do than watch, support, vote for, discuss and post about a show we think is rubbish just for the hell of it? Or could it perhaps be that a very large number of people genuinely see something in that show that you don't? For goodness sake get off your high horse. There are many critically acclaimed, and popular shows that I haven't warmed to (the Sopranos being an example from your list. Sorry but I can't bring myself to care about a murderer just because he loves his family. I like to be able to root for the main characters) - but I accept that this is my taste. I don't go around rubbishing those shows.

  113. oh, season 3 is a lot of deliciousness in the form of standalone episodes. I mean, the season's overall storyline is rather weak (I blame the writers' strike), but many season 3 episodes are absolute pearls, so enjoy!!

  114. Nope Burn Notice won by 50 votes :)) Yesterday it was much behind and I'm happy that my pick pulled through this time. So far 4 out of 6 correct.

  116. Ok, for someone who hasn't the first 5 seasons of SPN this comment is gonna be spoiler heavy. Just warning.

you know it would be nice if you knew the first thing about a show's mythology before you start judging it. You make it sound like every one of them made a deal with demons at least twice and it's hardly the case. In fact, if I recall right, Sam has never even made any. And yes, it all started with Mary making a deal to save John (which I suppose you didn't even know), then John made a deal to save Dean, then Dean made a deal to save Sam - yes, it is repetitive in a way, but IMO the repetitivness of the last one was what made it even more emotional and dramatic. Especially when you know that Alastair was trying to get John to break the first seal, but in the end it was Dean. Each and every one of those deals was a part of the family's destiny, you know, the one the boys always screw with and was leading to something bigger. Dealing with demons is only a first step for biggest issues of the show, like ehm... the Apocalypse? I mean, by the end of season 5 I was surprised how well the entire 5-season story arc was being developed from the very beginning. Plus, since season 4 the angels became a huge part of the storyline, so yeah, it's not all about demons.

As for overrated shows, you wanna see one, I recommend LOST. Never could understand all the hype around it.

  120. I think Supernatural is a good show but I seriously cannot believe how big the difference with votes was, seriously Dexter is like one of the best TV shows I've ever seen and I think Supernatural went a little bit too delusional in the last seasons

  121. Supernatural wins awards and competitions because it deserves to.

  122. Sorry, but could you please list the countless awards Supernatural has won?

  123. Not that it matters anymore, but I was referring to the visitors of this site. There may be more general public who watch HBO, but among those of us who come to this site, there are far, far more viewers of CW and regular cable channels than premium channels, and I'm one of em (don't even get HBO or Showtime). lol
