Showcase ratings: Endgame ratings rise after cancellation + Almost Heroes and Single White Spenny flop

For episode 12 Endgame rose to 203,000 viewers on its first airing which is close to renewed King's ratings average. Single White Spenny (44,000) and Almost Heroes (42,000) flopped, with some increases for Spenny on 11 pm repeat added ratings increase to Heroes (43,000) and Spenny (63,000).
On Canadian broadcast networks sophomore sitcoms Hiccups and Dan for Mayor returned to ratings on par with their season 1 averages.

  4. Endgame viewers are confounding.  The show has been scraping by since mid-season with average ratings that were at or below 120K and now that the show is canceled the ratings jump up significantly.  If these people would of just stuck around the show probably would of been renewed.

Endgame is a smarter show than the "yet another cop show" King so it's not surprising that it takes longer for people to get into it.  It's too bad Showcase/Global isn't going to give it a chance to build its audience.  9 airings isn't that much time; it took shows like MASH even longer to build their audience.

    Most of these people have stuck around from the beginning. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the handful of people that have a Nielsens box at home - the only people networks seems to care about. :(
