"What freshman drama series cancellation was the most disappointing this season?

Well this is a good question seeing as how many great shows were cancelled this year. Is it just me or did more shows than even get the chop?
Right, for me there are 2 shows that I personally was very sad about. First was The Event, which was just starting to get going, much like last years Flashforward, however as per usual the shows I like get binned!
But my number 1 show that was cancelled has to be, like Bruce, Rubicon. This was just a unique, compelling, well written and acted show that I should have known was doomed.

Lonestar in my opinion, although we only had two episodes they were amazing
ReplyDeleteHellcats (guilty pleasure) because it did actually have a good plot with Travis and thought they could get more of that. And No Ordinary Family, sure not the best but entertaining at least with good actors/actresses (except for the final fight scene which felt like a B movie). I see why they were cancelled just hoped for one more season or at least to wrap up some storylines.

Hellcats didn't came as a suprise let alone the trailer for the show was bad, watched it trough and it got a bit better, still no suprise there

For me, there are three shows. The Event and The Cape, which were getting better from episode to episode... and the Whole Truth. I think, it was something different, and I liked it very much.

ReplyDeleteThe Whole Truth - ABC kept messing with it and it was such a great show. I want to see the rest of the series!
Better With You - That was the perfect series finale, but I'm still bitter ABC cancelled it. The show fit perfectly in the Wednesday comedy block!
Rubicon for me too. I just loved the series, and it felt like a waste of possible good television material when it was axed.

ReplyDeleteI will have to say, for me, it was Mad Love. It wasn't a great show and had a so-so half-season but the finale was the best of the season and it left me wanting more.

ReplyDeleteThe Defenders - Simply Jim Belushi's best series yet. He and Jerry O'Connell were great together.
$#*! My Dad Says - I know it's not the most popular, but it got better and pulled away from that Twitter thing that spawned it. It was so like All in the Family, it kind of made me nostalgic and feel warm and fuzzy all over.
That's not a Freshman show, it's being running for several seasons
ReplyDeleteOnly Chaos for me. I wasn't watching anything else that was canned. But Chaos hurt. What a cute little show. And they stick it on Friday. In April. Without any promotion. My friends didn't even know about it until I told them and they watch a bunch of shows on CBS :(

ReplyDeleteI know I am alone, but I felt the Lone Star pilot had more potential than just about every other pilot of the 2010-2011 Fall Season. Unique, well acted and showed signs of a well crafted story arc to boot....

I was disappointed to see the end of Chicago Code, Terriers, Rubicon, Mad Love, Lights Out and Hellcats.

I LOVED "The Chicago Code" and Detroit 1-8-7. They both were realistic police dramas. Liked "Chase" a lot also. Could never buy in to that whole story on The Event.
ReplyDeleteThe Gates had been my number 1 show earlier this year and when they killed it, I was EXTREMELY disappointed. But...as for a newer show, I'd have to say Hellcats. Hellcats and The Chicago Code. People have forgotten what a good show really means -_-
ReplyDeleteAfter things like Flashforward and journeyman were prematurely axed, no one should have been surprised by the demise of The Event. I think we should call our Alderman about The Chicago Code. Maybe if the Fox Suits stop getting their trash picked up and have those gaping pot holes in front of their place left unfixed, they will get he message!
