  1. Too crowded a time slot, which is a really weird thing to say in summer.  I planned on watching it but White Collar and Memphis Beat were on too.

  2. Well, to be fair, it was awful.  A dumbed-down Disneyfied version of Buffy.  The only folks that I could see finding it interesting are the under 8-year old demographic.

  3. i enjoyed and i didnt think it was anything like buffy!

  4. That actually isn't that bad!! IT can still go up! PPL did. Its permerie ratings were kinda the same, just a little but higher.

  5. Really?  A girl - a chosen one - with mystical super powers accompanied by her male and female scoobie-friends fights an evil dark power under the guidance of a group of watchful overseers/trainers?  Nope, not at all like Buffy.  :)

  7. I quite enjoyed it but the problem is if people didn't like Pilot they don't return so this doesn't bode well

  8. yeah Pilots can be poor...for example I hated the Game of Thrones Pilot and considered ditching the series but it got good

  9. I felt a little Buffy too honestly. Vague similarities like high school girl with her average nerdy friends that get involved in the supernatural goings on, one special girl of prophecy

I also felt a little Dark angel with the cat DNA and her catlike genes and abilities.

I guess if one looks hard enough they can compare almost any two liked genred series.,

  10. The dark haired boy who died reminded me of Eric Baylor in the pilot of Buffy.  He had a similar look and (like Baylor) I thought he would play a larger role in the show until he died.

  11. Summer competition aside, Is that actually a bad number for ABC Family? Don't Secret Life and Pretty Little Liars get similar ratings and the network calls them hits in their ads....

  12. You're forgetting a key point: Shows on ad-supported cable aren't judged so much by how many millions of viewers they get because advertisers don't care about that, they care about the demos. Nine Lives only got 54% of the demo that PLL got, that's a huge loss.

  13. I quite liked it, so I hope the ratings do increase, I don't think it was really given a great chance.

  16. I'm wondering if they are taking in to account those of us who don't have cable and have to watch it online the next day. This next episode I'm actually more excited to watch then I am PLL (no Ezra). lol It does vaguely resemble buffy but hey that was years ago so there's a new generation to entertain and some of us oldies (I'm only 25 lol) enjoy a small blast from our childhood.

  18. I think it is a fun show. I am over 30 and as my husband loves to tease often have the taste of a tween. I like a fun, and mostly light show about a teenager trying to figure out who she is while she also has to discover a culture she didn't know existed and has been thrust as some sort of anointed one. The lead actress is wonderful! She keeps the teenage angst but also makes fun of herself and the supernatural/dangerous situations she finds herself in. I am a fan and hope it sticks around to deepen and expand.

  19. That's good for competing with the voice and it being in the summer. I think they need more episodes for people to get interested in the series.

  20. This is the worst show i've ever seen. So lame in the plots and the act is terribly cheesy. So called slowmo, dawn bad. It is woeful in all respect, cancel any other season PLEASE.
