Life's Too Short - Cat Deeley Joins Cast

Cat Deeley has reportedly landed a role in Ricky Gervais's new sitcom Life's Too Short.

The comedy, which has been written by Gervais and his regular collaborator Stephen Merchant, focuses on the life of actor Warwick Davis.

According to The Sun, Deeley has now signed up for a "major role" in the show.

Details of her character have not yet been revealed but she is expected to play a version of herself.

"Cat's long been keen to break into acting," a source is quoted as saying. "Ricky thinks she's a class act and has made it happen for her. It's a major role."

Deeley currently hosts both the US and British versions of So You Think You Can Dance. She has previously presented shows including CD:UK and SM:TV Live, but the part in Life's Too Short would be her first major acting role.
