Jason Patric Lands Lead in FX's Powers Pilot

Jason Patric has landed the lead role in the new TV adaptation of the Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming graphic novel Powers. He will join Lucy Punch who was cast in lead female role in the series. The story is set in a world where superheroes are just a part of life. It centers on two detectives, Christian Walker (Patric) and Deena Pilgrim (Punch), in a Homicide department that deals with cases involving superpowers. The pilot episode will be written by Charles H. Eglee, and directed by Michael Dinner.

    I still remember Jason Patric best from his Saturday Night Live appearance in the mid-nineties.  He was so weird on that show.  Even if this doesn't get picked up to series, I really want to see how this pilot turns out.
