  1. He's a great actor, but he often delivers' Petyr's lines with a certain blandness to them....There's not much emotion in his delivery of his lines...mostly he just seems stagnant, and not at al Littlefingerish.........

  2. As a non-reader I find Gillen brilliant so far, but can't judge if he's acting differently than Littlefinger in the books.

  3. He is a great actor no doubt about it...but sometimes he doesn't show much emotion when delivering his lines....i mean....for instance, in last week's episode, while he was telling Roz and the other whore his story, he just delivered his lines flatly.....

  4. Both he and Varys seem a little bland to me honestly, but I immediately liked Gillen as Littlefinger. It took me a week or two for Conleth Hill to win me ovr as Varys.

Both have won me over though and now I am not sure I can see anyone else in those roles.... Cersei however...... I keep hoping their will be a new scene added next year where Cersei has cosmetic surgery and we get a new actress....

  5. Awesome to have some extra vids this week! I was wondering if we were going to get any or not.

Gillen is so low-key it's funny! So many of his roles (I have only seen a few I guess) are so explosive I never pictured him as a mellow soft spoken person. Too funny.

  6. I think he delivered the lines VOCALLY flat, but his face was had some angst and emotion as I saw it.  Maybe that's the issue you and I have with his performance (and Varys too maybe)? He plays it more like a sociopath( less like a psychopath) and even-keeled than I read it, but that it itself is disturbing on some level.

I always think the understated crazies are more dangerous feeling to me. They don't need to act all crazy... they are perfectly comfortable in their crazy self and just chill. ....

  7. Exactly what i mean! thanks!
He just sounded so...bored to me...
Varys delivers his lines just like i imagined he would when i read the books. THere is a certain graceful aspect to his menace.
THough i will admit that he seems very innocent facially...not at all what you would expect from an entrepreneur spider like him to be.....

  8. I am loving this show so far, even though they have failed miserably at conveying the passage of time (Sansa write this letter...Robb here's a letter from your sister that takes a week to deliver. Let's take a month long trip to King's Landing...next scene in King's Landing in same wardrobe) but as a commenter on this site I really feel that I need more comments across the board from darq :)   Just really never see what he thinks about it
