  3. Awesome to see the 1st new footage of season 4.  However, the music on that promo is kind of cheesy.  John Goodman is going to be a solid villain this season.

  4. Agrees, the music doesn't bode at all with the atmosphere of the series.

  5. Yes! Totally agree about the music. It has nothing to do with Damages.

    Dark wings... Dark words...

I've said it before, but it bares repeating... OMG I LOVE THE CREDITS AND THEME!
This week we get to see The Twins even...

Every week I am impressed by an actor and have a new 'favorite' actor, this week it's Conleth Hill!  That scene in the dungeons was worthy of analysis at an acting school!

OR maybe it's David Bradley as Filch.. .erm I mean Walder Frey. As an actor, he is about the most definitive crotchety old man you can find. He is to angry, annoyed and aged as James Cosmo (Lord Commander Jeor Mormont) is to weathered, imposing and aged!
Loved him complaining about too many children and grandchildren piling up as he remarries to a 15 year old.... Who knows how many wives he has had now.

Or maybe it's Peter Vaughan as Maester Aemon!?  IF Jon needs advice from a more wise person who understands his unique situation he can do no better than listening to Aemon! A Targaryen? Wow!

    The Wooden Stick:
Not a fan at all of what they have done to the Dothraki storyline! In the books Drogo had a gaping wound from battle and a fall off his horse... not standing against an arakh on purpose. They combined two different scenes into one and used the lesser injury to be his fatal wound? Not liking it.

Last week Dany had a swimsuit model's waist and now she is 6 months pregnant from the looks of it. It's like the producers just recalled she should be growing and showing and jumped her from first trimester to third in one episode and seemingly overnight!

Jorah had his fight, which wasn't bad actually, but then he sheathed his sword and it was clean. After a face and neck gash like that I would expect some blood or flesh on it.

Sansa happy to see her father thinking she had saved him and then shocked at what happened..... They cut off the wrong Stark head!

    The Castle Forged Steel:
The Stark scenes in the Riverlands were nice! Robb is stepping up and showing his strength and willing to make some tough choices. Choices his sister may not like and his father may not have made.
Capturing hte Kingslayer was quite the coup and an impressive victory to put some fear in his future opponents!

Tywin v Tyrion round 2 was awesome. I love the dynamic between them! Any scene with Dinklage is awesome! He can be comical and commanding in the same breath... damned impressive actor!

    The Valyrian Steel:
All the aforementioned scenes with Varys, Walder Frey and Maester Aemon.

How awesome was the TYrion speech to his "army"? Halfman! Halfman! Halfman! and then.... he's out! Ha! Great humor! Then seeing the hill tribes beat every man to death so enthusiastically as Tyrion says "Good to see them getting along!" I rolled... HA!

Seeing Arya's reaction to the news of her father's public trial and his execution was terrible, but so impressive! The way they used the camera spinning to show add to the disorientating trauma... BRILLIANT!

Love Bronn and Tyrion together trying to come up with what game to play! I would want to hang out with  Bronn at a party. He may be a mercenary sellsword, but he has fun!
Tyrion running through the common stripper-isms and being wrong... and very puzzled!
A very nice introduction of Shae and a very good recounting of his past marriage trauma.
When a German porn star turned actress is cast as a prostitute does she complain about type casting? I wonder....

  7. The lyrics do.

    The genre doesn't.

  8. Well, since I've just recently finished the first 3 seasons, I was already really looking forward to the new one. July is going to be a good month.
