CBC released a primetime lineup on Wednesday that includes two new comedies, two dramas and a new reality TV series hosted by Kevin O'Leary.

Kirstine Stewart, executive vice-president of CBC's English services, announced the new season Wednesday in Toronto.

The new comedies and dramas:

Camelot: A one-hour fantasy legend based on the story of King Arthur, from the same creative team as The Tudors.
Michael: Tuesdays & Thursdays: a half-hour comedy produced by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, about an ambitious therapist and his most challenging patient.
Arctic Air: a one-hour drama adventure about a group of renegade pilots who fly small bush planes in the Canadian North.
Mr. D: a half-hour comedy filmed in Halifax starring Gerry Dee as an under-qualified teacher faking his way through life.
Sundays nights this fall on CBC will be devoted to reality TV, with Battle of the Blades, back for its third season, followed by Cover Me Canada, the new talent competition announced earlier this week.

Little Mosque on the Prairie will return midseason for its final season. Republic of Doyle will also return midseason.

  1. The Camelot they're referencing is the same Camelot airing currently on Starz, right?  I swore I saw at the end of the credits that the CBC was involved in the production of the show.

  2. yeah i think they're airing season 1 tho Camalot was "supposed" to get a season 2 decision weeks ago so they could film in the summer so i guess its either cancelled or looking at a looong hiatus

  3. I'm a little surprised that it didn't get that pick-up yet.  The shows ratings weren't great but they seemed decent enough and Camelot is a co-production so Starz isn't bearing the entire cost of the show either.

Maybe Starz wasn't satisfied with the show creatively?
