The network averaged 10 to 11 percent price increases for $2.3 billion to $2.4 billion in commitments, according to industry estimates.
ABC is the third network to wrap upfront negotiations. Top-rated Fox finished first with an estimated volume of $1.9 billion up slightly compared to last year. Last week, the CW wrapped its upfront negotiations with $400 million-$420 million in volume, also up compared to last year.

ReplyDeleteTv is a sweet business. Companies basically forked over a couple billion dollars on trailers. I won't even fork over 10 bucks :/
ReplyDeleteBut if a show doesn't perform based on the ratings, the network has to give money back to the advertisers to make up the difference, so even though ABC asked for a huge chunk of cash for a potential hit like Flashforward, they would have had to give back a LOT of money back when the ratings kept falling.
