90210 - Season 4 - Trevor Donovan downgraded to Guest Star

Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that Trevor Donovan — whose heretofore-closeted alter ego Teddy was at the center of a high profile coming out storyline last season — will not be returning to The CW soap as a series regular for Season 4.

Fans, however, have not seen the last of Teddy.

Although a spokesperson for the show declined to comment, a 90210 insider says Donovan will appear as a guest star in roughly five episodes this fall.

    Not surprised and not sad to see him leave, never believed him as a high school student anyway! Definitely not my favorite character on the show!

    I'm severly dissapointed. Teddy became one of my favorite characters and his storyline became on of my favorite storylines out of the entire 90210 franchise. Why give him such an important storyline and then quickly write him off next season?

    I'm truly disappointed! For me, Trevor's storyline was one of the best stories that the third season of 90210 has brought us. Why downgrade him to guest-status? Better do it with Jessica Lowndes, I really disliked her story this season...
