Paget Brewster will continue on Criminal Minds next season, while new series regular Rachel Nichols has officially been let go.

    So happy right now! Yay for both AJ and Paget returning! Slightly mad they fired Rachel Nichols, though.

    And Thomas better re-sign his contract now and everything will be back to normal!

    I just had a heart attack!Long live Paget, I was sad that her pilot wasn't picket up but she belongs to CM, I don't know how they're going to bring her bag, Doyle is supposedly still alive(although I thought Morgan got him)

    YESSSSS!!!!! While I think I may have been able to learn how to like Seaver this is way better! AJ is back and now Paget CM is finding it's way to back to the CM I know and love so happy for Paget.

    Pretty ridiculous to go through weeks/months of contract negotiations, then have a multi-episode arc as a farewell to her character... and invite Prentiss/ Paget back in 6 episodes. 

    Seems like the showrunner or network has no idea what direction they want to take, or no backbone to actually stay the course once they chose a direction. I've lost some respect for them, but luckily for me I don't care enough to stop watching...It's just a show I enjoy after all.

    I liked the Seaver character... a lot of potential there. I don't feel bad for Nichols though... just part of being an actress.Really doesn't affect me one way or another since I watch for the criminals profiled.

    They changed showrunners.  The one who ran it last season is the one who made the changes that we didn't like.  The new one has been working with the show for a while and hinted that she was going to do what she could bring back the characters that we love.

    Kind of feel bad for RN. I think she should've been given a second chance with AJ and Paget back. I wonder if they'll just forget about her or send her out in grand style in the season premiere.

    I hate the crazy internal shake-ups that this show has been going through, but I am THRILLED that both Paget and AJ are back.  They should have never been sent away, in my opinion.  I hate to say that I have no opinion on Rachel Nichols, although I do feel bad that she's going through the same thing Paget and AJ were.  Whatever, I'm just glad they're back.  :))))))))))))))

    This show has serious friggin' issues. As awsome as the cast is, the showrunners are morons! First they let JJ go then get her back, now same for Prentiss.  Make up your dang mind! There isn't anything wrong w/ Seaver either...seriously can't you just stick to something? I'm glad she's back and that JJ will be back too but I'm so sick of the back and forth on this show.  I swear if they ever have Morgan leave I'm done w/ the show.

    prob same reason that i'm annoyed w/ it. The showrunners are idiots. This back and forth crap is rediculous.  They are ruining the show w/ all this dramatic crap. it was good the way it was, but yet when they do something different they can't stick w/ it...and new characters come in and now are just booted out? What,we can have three females on the team (besides penelope).??  The show needs to pick a direction and stick w/ it.  make up their mind already.

    I agree  ... I just don't watch CM for AJ , Paget or who ever I watch it beacuse it's good and I liked the changes they made with bringing Nichols in. Paget had a good run and I don't mind that they want 2 bring her back but they at least could have done more with the Nichols character. So match potential there. As for AJ that she will be back makes more sense so good job there. I just wished they would have done 1 or 2 more years with Nichols befor bringing back Paget. She had a good outgoing story and I think they should have left it at that for a while.

    But most fans wanted AJ and Paget back and didn't really liked Nichols. So I guess that's why they made the changes in the first place.

    I'm thrilled that Paget is back.  Even though I never warmed to her character, I'm sorry that Rachel was a casualty of all this behind the scenes drama.  Hopefully, the powers-that-be have heard us loud and clear and will not let Thomas Gibson get away.  That would be another HUGE mistake!
