Six Feet Under star Frances Conroy has signed up to appear in FX's pilot American Horror Story.
Glee's executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have worked on the project, which stars Dylan McDermott as a therapist called Ben who makes a big mistake.
He is forced to move to a new house with his wife Vivien (Connie Britton) and their family, but they soon encounter problems.
Conroy has now joined the cast as the family's housekeeper.
As well as starring in Six Feet Under, she has appeared in Desperate Housewives and Happy Town and has had guest roles in shows like The Mentalist, United States of Tara, How I Met Your Mother and Grey's Anatomy. She recently worked on the ABC pilot Bad Mum, but it was not ordered to series.
Alexandra Breckenridge has also joined the cast of American Horror Story and will play a younger version of the housekeeper.

Talented cast for sure! I'm intrigued...
ReplyDeleteIt all looked very appealing...until I saw Ryan Murphy's name attached to it.
ReplyDeleteHaha, the cast is really great, but I'm also a bit reserved because I can't stand Glee at all and so far the story is still nebulous.
ReplyDeleteI really just can't stand glee, but Ryan Murphy is also responsible for Nip/Tuck...one of the first dark dramas FX ordered that helped it become what it is today...Gotta have a little faith...and then hope that after the first season Mr. Murphy steps away from things, lest he turn all the characters into unlikeable nitwits.
