    I would not be surprised on if the season cliffhanger is Elena's death(or even better, like something Supernatural season 5 cliffhanger had, with Elena, after one year after her death, standing by her house), dunn dunn dunn "To be continued" in entire summer of speculations on how, why and what the hell.. :)

    Elena isn't going to actually die but it would be a good cliff hanger for sure! It's like Supernatural where the brothers die fairly often (considering they are the main characters) and it always hurts but we know they will come back. Looking forward to Klaus and the new episodes! Makes you wonder what they will do for season 3 if they have already gone into this huge story line, I don't know how it will get bigger than the oldest vamp ever wanting to sacrifice you and vampires in love with you trying to save you. However I trust Kevin and Julie will find something bigger in season 3!

    There's an interesting fact:

    AS I lay Dieing is a novel by W.Faulkner.
    It is a framed narrative of one persons seemingly heroic death, told from viewpoints of 15 different characters, revealing darker sides of the dead person, as those 15 people are trying to bring her to be buried in her hometown.

    The whole book focuses on hypocritical and pointless acts of heroism:
    It is filled with moments of great heroism and with struggles that are almost epic, but the novel’s take on such battles is ironic at best, and at times it even makes them seem downright absurd or mundane. The Bundrens’ effort to get their wagon across the flooded river is a struggle that could have been pulled from a more conventional adventure novel, but is undermined by the fact that it occurs for a questionable purpose.

    While at the start of the book, the main character, Addie, seems as heroic, frail and caring woman, who cared for her husband and family and was embodiment of good, through each chapter a more villainous, manipulative and self-loathing picture of Addie is painted. And through that each of 15 narrators are painted in more darker light. By the end, no one can be called as purely good.

    She wont and cannot die cause it whoud just be stupid(i mean the whole tw show is about her) if you ment die and come back as a vampire how whould that suck? it whoud be awesome.I just hope Stefan and Damon dont die cause i saw on their website that Stefan wiill pay big price for trying to save Damon.I hope its not death.Cannot wait for Finale and hope it wont have some crazy cliffahanger or i will hang myself xD

    JP & KW said that *anyone* including the trio under deathwatch (though, yes, doubt that would be for long)It would suck, b/c we invest in her humanity. VampireLena, not so much. <3 Stefan and Damon, hope Bonnie can find a way to save them both & they pay her back by saving her. LOL. No hanging.. unless it's Klaus or Greta. ;)
