Damn it... Okay, I haven't seen any episode of this show or Doctor Who (am I right that it is a Doctor Who spin-off??) and I don't really know what any of any of those two shows is about apart from the fact that it deals with time travel. Is it possible or advisable to just start watching the show with Miracle Days or now? I'm interested in seeing de Lancie and Ambrose again, so some advice would be appreciated.
Hmmm, that's a tough question to answer (not having seen Miracle Day). In light of the fact that Miracle Day is being made/broadcast on/by a network in the states, I'm going to say yes. I'm going to assume that they want to introduce things to people outside of the UK. There's probably going to be some clueless American character who serves as a means by which to shove much exposition down our throats :).
Thanks! I guess to maximize my viewing pleasure I better watch the first 3 seasons. There's still plenty of time until July, so that shouldn't be a problem.
A) There are Doctor Who crossovers B) S1 and S2 of Torchwood are wildly different from S3.
If you're going to go back and watch the first three seasons of Torchwood, you may as well watch the first season of Doctor Who (where Captain Jack is introduced). Even then, Torchwood itself is set up in DW S2 and there are crossover characters from DW S3 XD.
That being said, if you don't want to invest THAT much time, all of Torchwood should be fine. Believe me when I say that it only gets way better as it goes along (it starts off kind of strangely lol).
Tough decision. I'm currently catching up on Oz and also rewatching Star Trek TNG (one of the reasons this casting decision caught my attention). I suppose I'll delay my decision until I'm finished with those 2 shows.
But thanks a lot for your inout & your suggestions, definitely appreciated!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Rad!!!

That's awesome! I watched the Oz pilot for the first time a week or two ago and have just started rewatching ST:Voyager :).
ReplyDeleteCool coincidence for sure. Now I know for sure I can trust your input. How can't I trust someone with such exquisite taste?
