  1. You know that's right! There aren't many shows that interact with the fans the way these guys do. Episodes like Monster at The End of This Book, The Real Ghostbusters and The French Mistake show that the fans affect the show just like it affects them.

Finally, we return from the hell-atus :)

  3. Even if the ratings don't take us into account - THEY know they have fans from all over the world - and they do take notice of what we think. It's great to have that acknowledged.
Awesome show - I'm so proud to be a SPN fan!

Man - am I starting to sound like a fangirl or what?

  4. I love that they listen to the fans but sometimes it comes back to haunt those same fans. In season 2 they listened and the Roadhouse burned down. Now a lot of people seem nostalgic for Jo and Ellen. Ha! Perhaps they will listen and get the amulet back and keep Bobby from dying. That's my fan feedback.

  9. I don't think they should listen to us fans, in my opinion seasons 1 and 2 were the greatest and thats before the fanbase was vocal and they were by far my favourite seasons. The only thing i'd like them to listen to is the samulet, WE WANT IT BACK WRITERS, thats one thing you can listen on. After hearing that s4 was supposed to start with Sam looking for Dean in hell then i am NOT happy with creative changes.

  10. I agree with this. While I haven't been in the SPN fandom that long, I think the situation is similar to Lost. It started to feel with Lost like the writers were trying out new paths but pulling them too soon after some initial bad feedback when they should have been giving them more time to develop. They ended up with hundreds of story starts that went nowhere. Also, online fandoms tend to get stuck on small nitpicky points that probably the larger fandom has long since forgotten about. FInally, online fandoms tend to tear apart any new female character who is introduced. Not sure why it's just the females, but that was definitely true with Lost, and it seems to be true here too.

  11. I'm guessing that budget considerations have kept us from really seeing hell, not fan opinion. Plus, there was a very vocal online fandom by the time of the first summer hellatus. That's back when Kripke et al acknowledged watching the season 1 TWoP boards to see what people were thinking and it could get really ugly there.

  12. I love that TPTB listen to the fans. There's always been a niche for everyone, the Dean!fans, Sam!Fans, nonDeanorSam!Fans (not too many of those, IMO lol), the Wincesters, the crazies, the angel!fans the demon!fans etc etc. They've listened to ALL of them and let them have a voice through the show's creative process and, in a way, helped to make the show OWNED by the fans, creating an atmosphere that lets the fans feel they truly belong and are a part of something great and special. This is the ONLY show that has ever broken down that fourth wall to the extent that they have and this "little show that could" has exploded with fandom, reigning in new fans each season, hell each episode. So, Thank You, Kripke, Gamble, Manners (R.I.P.!!! we miss you Kim!) and to all the rest of the production team, cast and crew!

  13. Totally agree. Just like the show, there's something in the fandom for everyone. Welcome to SpoilerTV, by the way. It's got something for everyone too.

  14. Jensen's "Dean voice" is more growly and rough. Jensen's voice is smoother and more even. Check out a bit of his earlier works like Dark Angel; you'll tell the difference right away.

  15. We do have a lot of opinions. lol Does this mean we may have an episode with zombie squirrels? Cause that would rock.

  17. Ha! After fairies and French Mistake, I wouldn't put anything past them. Welcome to SpoilerTV. Glad to have you.

At least I TRY for a little decorum when I'm here.

  22. Totally agree amazing show and a amazing fandom.

  23. It's great that the writers and producers listen to the fans, but I don't want them to cater too much to fans. It could potential take away from some great storyline ideas.

  24. It just hit me that I think I'm finally a true Supernatural fan. In a post further down, I was complaining about them listening to our complaints.

  25. I believe we do affect what happens on the show. I know of friends who written stories and parts of those stories end up on future episodes, altered of course. The fans do a lot for the show. The awards it has won comes from voting by us. Not many shows have fans that affect them as much Supernatural does. The CW is learning the hard way, too.

    Friday Night! YES!
