  1. Ok so Eve has the power to create demons?

  2. Hmm, not what I expected. So does that mean Mary has been in hell because isn't that the mythology of Supernatural? How could Eve bring someone from heaven back. The power to create demons would make her equal to Lucifer also.

  3. When all those articles and such were released before Like a Virgin aired, they were talking about the new baddie being stronger than YED/Lilith and Lucifer. I think she's probably more powerful than Lucifer. All Lucifer was was a whiny-ass archangel who's big brother threw him in a cage because he didn't get what he wanted. His power was no better than a regular archangel's IMO. *shrugs* I have a feeling Eve may be more powerful. Creator of monsters. Demons are monsters. All demons are are twisted, corrupted, evil human souls. Could be possible she can twist and corrupt a human soul inside of his/her own skin and turning them into demons. I doubt she has much love for humans hence the "demons" dying.

  4. If she's really the mother of all, then it stands to reason that she can create anything. Either that or she's just created a likeness of Mary Winchester.

  5. I think that's the case, it will probably deal with them not being able to kill her and then Castiel will check in heaven if she is there lol

  6. Well, technically, she was the first one to do a great evil. Lucifer just said no to worshiping humanity more then his Father and that isn't really categorized as evil. Sure, Lucifer did manipulate with Eve and stuff, but she was the one who sinned. She must be really powerful. And even though Mary didn't know she was selling her baby, or her soul - she did it! That sends her to Hell, as far as I know. So this is quite well planned. I sense it's gonna be awesome!

Mary was a ghost and when creatures die they go to purgatory, where eve is the queen. she can do what she wants with them i imagine since she's the mother of all monsters.

  8. I don't think she brought Mary back per se, but she created the image of their mother with the demon.

  9. FAIL!
I don't know who said it in one of these comments, but Mary never sold her soul, or Sam's for that matter. She made a deal with Azazel to bring back John, cursing Sam's soul. He was chosen for those special children, who Azazel was asked to find decades ago.
Furthermore. When she died, she didn't go to hell either (or heaven), read that in one of those comments. When she died, she stuck around, protecting those in her old home. Hence the episode title "home." When she canceled herself out to save her kids, reason be standing that she would have found those pearly gates.
Granted, it's never been said where she went but Zachariah had brought her back in when the boys made a trip to heaven, who's to say that Eve can't bring her back to manipulate them as well.
In all honesty, Mary should have made a trip upstairs rather than down after she finally went. She sacrificed herself to save others on a regular basis as a hunter and fully believed in god and the angels as well when she was alive, for one, and...since she was not a terrible evil in her human life, she would have been forgiven of her sins upon entering.
    Sorry.
    I'll end my rant here.
I'm going to dislike this episode.......

    I can tell it now.

  10. Mary knowingly and willingly made a deal with a demon, people who makes deals with demons are usually forfeiting their own souls. In this case Mary forfeit Sam's by allowing the YED to come after him 10 years later to feed him demon blood. Yes Sam was always part of a much bigger master plan and his fate was probably already set in stone but doesn't change the fact that Mary made a deal with a demon that saw said demon come back 10 years later and help set her sons fate on its tracks.

If she hadn't gone into the nursery that night she wouldn't have died and Sam would have been the one to pay the price of her demon deal. I've always wondered if the reason she couldn't move on after her death was because the guilt prevented her from doing so (see Molly-Roadkill)?

So Mary sacrifices her spirit in order to save her sons in 'HOME' and since she was a spirit she would have gone to Purgatory. Which I think was a fair place for her to end up. There had to be consequences for her her actions in making that deal with a demon, it wouldn't have been fair for her to just move on and go to heaven when Sam, Dean and John were living hell on earth because of something she help set in motion. Also it seems only fitting that people who make deals with demons (no matter how well intentioned) don't get to just go to heaven, I think cannon has shown that making a deal with a demon is a bad thing and will only get you into trouble, hence the reason the writers have never just plonked Mary in heaven. I'm not saying she should be punished for her actions but she shouldn't be rewarded for them either.

  11. She is the mother of all things, demons, vampires, shapeshifters, etc,. she created every bad creature.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Does noone pay attention to what they say during the show? Eve is the Mother of ALL, which means EVERYTHING bad. She was the original creator of demons, shapeshifters, vampires, EVERYTHING. For her to be in purgatory would mean that she has walked the Earth once before and was killed some how! Pay attention when you watch and then you wouldnt have so many questions or doubts about the show.

  13. Well first Zachariah brought the memory of Mary back, not Mary. Secondly God and The Angels knew she was gonna make that deal, she had to make that deal. It was part of the big plan. Also, if Sam was granted Salvation in Heaven after what he did, I'm pretty sure Mary was too, as was John when he escaped hell. Ash said he couldn't find them, my thought was always that God made their part of Heaven unreachable even to Angels.

And also if it turns out that Eve actually created Demons, then that is a bad retcon. Because since Season 3 it was established that Lucifer created Demons. As in Sin City that Demon Dean is trapped with basically says Lucifer is their creator.

  14. And what is a ghost? A ghost is a human soul. A detached human soul, but nevertheless a soul. I'm sure that Mary was in Purgatory thus it making it easy for Eve to resurrect her. I know she can do what she wants with them, and I agree with you. I'm just saying that Mary isn't going to be the only "demon" in this episode. I would imagine with demons being monsters Eve would easily be able to twist, corrupt and manipulate a human soul and turn it right into a demon faster than Hell could. I guess that's all I'm saying really. But I agree with you.

  15. What are you talking about...? I don't think that this Eve is the first Eve, the biblical version of Eve... Eve was never the "Mother of All Monsters" which this has already been confirmed via Bobby possessed by the khan worm back in "...And Then There Were None." I think this a likeliness of Echidna, The Mother of All Monsters quite literally and she most likely did evil and created creatures a lot longer than Lucifer did evil.

  16. Wow, you're pretty sure of yourself here aren't you? And automatically assuming you're going to dislike the episode when you've just seen about a 20-30 word paragraph of a vague episode description... I will never understand some of the fans at all... o_o

Actually, Mary did make a deal with a demon. She made a deal with the YED to save John's life thus dooming Sam's life. Mary may have been a ghost, but she disappeared just like any ghost being salted and burned would. It's highly probable that Mary as a ghost, Mary who made the first deal and set the path in motion, ended up in Purgatory because becoming a ghost she technically became "a monster" so to speak.

Zachariah didn't bring her back either. He created an image of her to torment the boys. That wasn't the real Mary... How about instead of jumping to conclusions you keep something called "an open mind" instead of letting it allude you? Just a suggestion. :)

  17. Actually, Lucifer only created the first demon; Lilith. Not all demons. Casey was just an underling demon who claimed that Lucifer was the one who created them, though nobody had actually ever seen her. For all we know, demons could've been created or walked among humans long before Lucifer ever existed.

  18. im so confuse why this *eve* can create a demon n can resurrect a death ppl?????

i think Lucifer should be powerful than Eve, :(
Because lucifer is the devil he can control the 4 horsemen, n demons of course, n he is a son of God,

doesn't make sense for me the mother of all (monsters) is powerful than angels n devil?!!!! so if she powerful than angels/devil that make her equal to God????? O.o ?

i just know the most powerful is God (for sure) then archangel n devil, other than that is lower, ^^
(that in my lower knowledge), but yeah u can disagree with me :)

but this is supernatural show, so i just follow the story then (but still cant agree with the idea *eve* powerful than the *devil*) :D

  19. My take on this is that in the SPN world, souls go to Heaven or Hell and monsters go to Purgatory because, in theory, monsters are soulless. Sam's soul went to Hell or Heaven, but had the Soulless Sam thing been killed, it would have gone to Purgatory. I can buy that Mary went to Hell just because she made a deal with a demon. In the deals that we've seen gone down, it's not usually explicitly stated that a person is selling their soul when the person is making the deal, but it's understood.

Where this gets murky is that this isn't the Buffyverse, where people immediately loose their souls once they became monsters. We've seen monsters such as Madison, Mercedes, and Leonore, who appeared to still have souls. But maybe you could argue that they became split into two entities like Sam. Madison didn't remember killing, but when she turned into a warewolf, she couldn't access her soul.

So if Mary was in Hell and in danger of becoming a demon, that explains some of the questions about Samuel - why he was so motivated to get her, and not Deanna, back.

  20. One more point - if Mary did come back as a demon, why would she have her old body? Demons are smoke that that take over other humans. Their human bodies are long gone, and Mary's body burned.

  21. Spirits, I would not classify as something that Eve created. Tessa said Evil Spirits are the result of souls who can't let go. But as we know when they do go they either go to Heaven or Hell. And as we know that at some point while they are in Hell they become a Demon. Saying Eve created Demons is like saying she also created Souls. She is the Mother of all Monsters. Not Spirits. If Lucifer created the first Demon he created them all. Just like Eve created the Alpha's who in turn created more of their Monster race and so on.

Also I read the Lenore (Vampire from Season 2 ep Bloodlust) is in this episode. My guess is she ends up helping The Winchesters.

  22. Wow! I am totally on board with ya'll :D

I was thinking the exact same thing about Mary being in Purgatory b/c I couldn't see Eve pulling anyone out of heaven or hell. This is going to be one of the most devastating episodes in this season (IMO)

I can not imagine how Dean is going to handle all of this and with a twisted demon Mother what will she say about Dean as a child. Remember in other supernatural movies or tv shows the mom becoming a bady usually lead to the most ugliest and heart-breaking scenes.

    Poor boys :(

  23. So that's why Mary looked so odd and creepy in those promo photos from way back.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well, this gives Eve points on the evil scale.

  25. This is a great point, and it's what has got me hoping that this press release is akin to "The End"'s press release. In it they said that zombies had taken over in the future, when in-show they were Croats, something very different from zombies within the show's universe. So hopefully the word "demon" here doesn't mean the black smoke things that we've grown accustomed to for the past 5 and a half seasons, but rather means some as-of-yet unknown creatures with demon-like properties.

  26. Wow! Cannot wait for this one! How is Sam going to react to seeing his mother again (even if it really isn't her)? Dean will know what to do-he always does-but he must protect Sam, because she could know what happened to him while he was in the cage. Demons do have a way of finding things out, even if they lie alot.
