A little and intruiging article, with a bit of a poll for you to join in with for a bit of fun.
Yesterday I was on the train to London to watch Matthew Fox in his new play, Neil LeBute's 'In a Forest Dark & Deep' and needed something to watch on the way down. I hunted on itunes and found that the premiere of AMC's recently cancelled 'Rubicon' was now available for UK audiences to download. In a hurry I downloaded the episode and stuck it on my iphone.
For those unaware of Rubicon, and from what I could gather from it's very mystery-ridden first 40 minutes was that there is a conspiracy theory going on and it's up to James Badge Dale to solve it.
However, more spooky and perhaps a little intriguing was the conspiracy I uncovered on this train ride.
There is a point merely a few minutes into the episode where James Badge Dale's character was in his office when a woman walks in and asks him what day it is... He thinks long and hard for a few seconds before stating that today was his birthday and that the date is April 8th...
The conspiracy becomes clear when you learn that my trip to see Matthew Fox's play was for my birthday, and that yesterday also was April the 8th. Was I meant to watch Rubicon on the train yesterday? Who knows, but it all smells a little like a conspiracy to me :P
To wrap it up I can all but wonder; the fact that like Matthew Fox's character Jack Shepherd in LOST was meant to never leave the island, and that he was meant to save the world... perhaps I was meant to also be on that train. I of course am referring to myself, who hosted a Character Competition last year on this very website that people believed had an element of conspiracy to it... And it all happened on the date 8/4 (LOST anyone?)
It's all a conspiracy. You heard it here first!
Have you ever been involved in a TV related Conspiracy or weird moment... comment below!

Ha, very cool :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, glad you had a good time
My birthday was yesterday too :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday for yesterday Bob!
ReplyDeleteI think the conspiracy is you need to finish watching Rubicon. Around episode 7 it turns into MUST-SEE television. The final 2-3 episodes were unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteI'm intruiged! It has Arliss Howard in from The Lost World which is cool! Also I'm amazed Harris Yulin agreed to do a TV show where he doesn't even have any lines... he refused to be in the 24 credits because he couldn't have a credit on his own. So I smell something fishy there... he must be alive to actually do something! haha
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday dude!
ReplyDeleteLOL awesome, but NOT a conspiracy lol :DDD
ReplyDeleteAt first when I was reading the first lines I thought you had a near-death experience because in the pilot of Rubicon, there's a massive train accident, so when I saw you watched the episode in a train, I imagined you were attacked too.
ReplyDeleteI personally had a little Conspiracy moment of my own a few weeks ago. It was around 8pm, it was dark. I was leaving my apartment, I went out of the elevator, I started to get at the entrance gate and then I realized I had not checked my mails before that day, so I should just see if I had some in my mailbox. I went to open the box and then a few seconds later, a bottle of beer (in glass) crashed right in front of the entrance gate of the building (some idiot on his balcony dropped it I guess). If I had not remembered to check my mail, I probably would have got that bottle on my head, it would have hurt. Coincidence? I don't think so. The Ajustment Bureau probably snooped into my head at the last second.
Oh man, that reminds me of this time a few years back when I was lying on my couch watching television (something I have been known to do for extended periods of time). For no reason at all, I suddenly had this urgent feeling to jump up from the couch. As I stood up, the gigantic lightbulb in the lamp hanging above the couch exploded. If I had been lying there, it would have fallen on my face :S.
ReplyDeleteAhahaha, I love when stuff like that happens. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThank You :D
ReplyDeleteThank You :D
ReplyDeleteThose lil odd events are so amusingly disturbing!
ReplyDeleteI had one 2 years ago during the Season Five finale of LOST when the nuclear bomb exploded in the last scene and the LOST credits came up white with black letters for the first time. I hadn't changed one of entry way ovehead lights (3 in the fixture) since it went out... one of those energy saver spiral lights. As the credits came up the light decided to work for the first time in a month and my room light up very brightly too.
Adam, you're watching too much tv, brow... LOL
ReplyDeletebut... which one of us isn't?
and.. I have to say you're very cute!
