I guess it's because of all the reruns that there weren't many people watching... or because the show isn't compelling anymore, I don't know.
It wasn't just Chuck though, it was a bad night for everyone at 8 (except for freaking DTWS) :
House hit a season low, and it's almost a series low if you don't count the first episodes of the first season (but still, on another website I read this episode did 9.0 million viewers (3.2% of the 18/49 key demo) though, not 8.5 million viewers).
HIMYM hit a season low too, only 6.8 million viewers whereas the ratings were around 10 million viewers in February).
The Chicago Code's ratings aren't so bad, given House's season low, they're stable compared to the 7th episode's ratings on March 21st. I smell a 2nd season cooking and I like it, the show is awesome.
Just like The Chicago Code with House, I think Mad Love's ratings right after HIMYM aren't catastrophic. The show aired new episodes when HIMYM was in reruns (just like 70% of Mr Sunshine episodes airing after Modern Family reruns in the past few weeks), and now it did 5.5 million after 6.8 million viewers for HIMYM... not so bad. Mad Love is still not good though, I want to like Mad Love, I love the cast because of prior roles they had but this show is just not original and funny.
Damn that Huddy--still dragging the show down from beyond the grave!! 7x18 - 8.5 mil viewers 7x17 - 9.3 7x16 - 10.4 7x15 - 11.1
Even though "The Dig" was billed as the endlessly fascinating 13's big return, obviously Huddy is to blame for the third consecutive viewership drop. Can't you people see?!?
Everything tanked across the board last night, except for Castle. It's amusing that this show that barely got a season 2 pick-up is now the single, successful procedural that ABC has. The network will hold on to Castle for dear life for as long as possible, especially after it begins getting sold into syndication.
Go Castle!! What is up with Chuck? Where did all the people go? I am still in shock that, that many people still watch repeats of Two and a half Men...LOL!
I think it is because of Dancing With the Stars lead in that Castle is doing really well, because with DWTS, Castle was always behind H50. It probably didn't help that H50 has been repeats for most of the last two months either.
I'm surprised House is getting lower and lower. 8,5 millions viewers is the rnormal rating in France for an evening. But there's only 65 millions people living there and in DOM TOM.. Hugh Laurie will be in France next week and on TV (20 th and 21 st). House will be back on 19 th for season 6 premiere. I'l tell you the ratings to see if I'm rignt or wrong.
[H] is not what it used to be, but neither is the show.. still watching and still solid audience, though became predictable and repetitive .. like the last ep more than the last 2 ... even when the "road trip" format heve been already seen .. (birthmarks & son of a coma guy)
I feel really bad for Chuck fans! And I really do hope your show makes it :) I don't watch it but I know that It was in the same place Fringe was so Goodluck!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Bad news for Chuck fans :(

ReplyDeleteI dislike Dancing with the Stars so much.

ReplyDeleteIt's getting really tough to imaging an autumn 2011 with Chuck. Hoping for the best.

ReplyDeleteBlame the writers and producers ... 07x17 is and it's gonna be the worst episode ever
ReplyDeletein my country is like 70 points of rating .... still solid audience and 2 days from now is the deadline in S8 negotiations ...
