Apr 12, 2011

Hey all Raising Hope fans, Martha Plimpton, who stars as Virginia on the show, will be giving a phone interview on Wednesday. I'm looking for all of your great questions. Ms. Plimpton, daughter of Keith Carradine and once girlfriend of River Phoenix, also starred in The Goonies, Running on Empty, and Parenthood among others in the 80's. She's been a guest star on everything from Fringe to Family Ties and Grey's Anatomy to ER. She's also a frequent actress on Broadway.

What would you like to know about Ms. Plimpton or the show? Sound off in the comments below and I will do my best to get all your burning questions answered.

  1. Don't know if this is a worthy question, but I'd like to know if they get to ad lib or improvise on Raising Hope, or whether it's always strictly by the script.

  2. I want to know what's her favorite episode of Raising Hope that's aired so far?
And how long does she see the show lasting?

  3. Coming from an acting family, when did she find out that she wanted to act?

  4. With a new generation discovering 1980s classics, her River Phoenix and Goonies connotations are still going strong and all over this crazy Internet. Is it creepy to be remembered for movies and a relationship from her teens? Does she feel comfortable talking about Phoenix 17 years on? Why was she uncredited for her part in Remember Me?

  5. Hey guys. Finished the interview. Unfortunately it was shorter than most so only got one question. Details to follow.

  7. It was a lot of fun. Martha Plimpton and Greg Garcia have a lot of fun, you can tell.
