  1. Cried twice, both time for Ellen :(

I HATE WHAT'S GOING ON WITH CAS! omg. NOT LIKING IT AT ALL!

    The eps was GREAT :D

  2. So much great happened in this episode. I love all the Bobby and Ellen scenes; great writing for great actors.

    ReplyDelete
  3. The funniest scene was Dean and Sam silently arguing about who would approach Bobby and then doing the rock-paper-scissors thing. Freaking hilarious. Well that and Dean asking the jerk about his family. Nazis? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Loved it.
    S&D's whispered conversation about Bobby.
    Bobby and Ellen together.
    Lots of oneliners:
'Your kinda librarian or my kinda librarian?'
    'Winslet's rack'
    Rock paper scissors
    so much to love

    ReplyDelete
  5. I loved it. EVERYTHING WAS BOBBY AND ELLEN AND IT KINDA HURT, BUT IT WAS ALSO BEAUTIFUL AT THE SAME TIME.

Still LOLing at Sam's face when the guy got hit by the face. And lying!Cas. Who needs to have angry hate!sex with Fate. And is apparently in love with Dean.

    Great episode!

    ReplyDelete
  6. At least Cas doesn't appear to have sold S&D out completely - yet.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Cas having angry hate!sex with Fate would seriously be hot. And I thought he was in love with both Sam and Dean, or rather that's what Balthazar implied. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  8. Loved this episode. It was great to have a new episode and I am glad it was this one. It makes me miss Ellen and Jo all the more though.

  9. Funny lines:

"I think you've mistaken me for the other angel, you know, one in the dirty trench coat who's in love with you"

Sam - 'You mean fate sisters, in greek mythology'
    Dean - "Nerd"

Dean - *wipes side of mouth "Do I have something on my face?"

Dean - *looks wide eyed at Sam 'Dude, why are you having my dream?"

Dean - "Who do you gotta kill to die around here?"

Sam - "She looks kinda like a librarian?"
Dean - looks at Sam* "Wait, my kinda librarian or your kind of librarian?"
Sam - looks at Dean* "Well she had on clothes, if thats what you mean?"

    Scene:
Sam and Dean walking through flaming tossed knives and Sam getting stuck there for a moment while passing.

Sam and Dean rock paper scissors, Dean wins! (So had me suspicious from the beginning)

    Cas - "Balthazar stop"
    Fate looks around
Balthazar with hand extended - "Awkward"
    Balthazar puts knife away casually.

    Ellen and Bobby <3

    Im voting AWESOME!

  10. Oh, Cas. You make me sad. What are you doing, bb? :-( Though I do believe Cas truly does care for Sam and Dean, and they truly are his friends, he could still end up doing something not so good to them, if he hasn't already.

ELLEN!!! I MISSED YOU!!!! And now you're gone again. *sniffle sniffle* ;_; Ellen/Bobby <3 I totally ship it.

Did anybody else think Fate was hot? I mean I'm a girl and I thought she was hot. Like somebody said above, she and Cas need to have angry hate!sex. It'd be awesome.

This episode was fantastic. Seriously so much better than I thought it would be. I also find it interesting that Cas let Sam and Dean remember that timeline with an unsunk Titanic, but I also found it very endearing that he gave up those 50,000 souls just for Sam and Dean to survive. Though I have to wonder...what is it about these souls? What is this "war machine" Fate speaks of? It raised many of questions, but was an awesome episode for the return! I loved it!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Nope. Just used them for his own nefarious purposes again. I'd think they would be tired of being bait in an angel war.

    ReplyDelete
  12. lol AM I the only one who didnt catch the "in love joke" I saw it every where on twitter...

Thats IT i cant watch the show AND twit a the same time!

    ReplyDelete
  13. You three people who voted 'awful' - please front up and tell us what was so awful about it?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Dont think they actually watched it. .... haters or "funny" peoiple

    ReplyDelete
  15. I thought he needed the souls for money...

and yeah hahaha, Cas loves our little brothers ehehe. (he does only have them though, its understandable LOL)

    ReplyDelete
  16. He used them to attract Fate so he could kill her.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Dean: 'Accidents don't just happen accidentally.' What?

    ReplyDelete
  18. It's just the same jokers who vote awful on all of the SPTV polls. Ignore and walk on by.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Cas is so shady lately. I'm surprised Dean and Sam didn't see thru his lies as easily as we did. I think this ep needed a 'to be continued' warning at the end. But I'm thinking they may all need that cuz they're going to be so intertwined. Still, good ep and now one week till Frontierland!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. lol *points at self, yep, I also agree she was hot.

    ReplyDelete
  21. It makes sense.... sort of.... if you think like a Winchester. :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Frontierland! Whoot! OMG, Dean wearing that black cape and that outift(*melt) in the western showdown ^__^

    ReplyDelete
  23. LMAO for money? Oh, Chanelle...xD

    Or our not-so-little brothers ROFL

    ReplyDelete
  24. LOL So glad I'm not alone in that one.

    ReplyDelete
  25. ... no...... yeah... but no... WOW, I think i was so excited for this ep i didnt understand half of it HAHAHAH! but i thought ... i dunno, the point were the souls cas didnt know fate would go after sam/dean ... UH| stupid french lady i know

    ReplyDelete
  26. WHAT! Alrigth Alright so I MAY have not understood the episode! MY BRAIN IS FRIED. I just got through 4 exams in 3 days with 3 projects ahahah I BLAME SCHOOL lol (bio math physic and french shoot me)

ANY WAY. gonna watch it back tomorow and get back to you on that HAHAH

    ReplyDelete
  27. it's dean, he doesnt need to make sense :P

    ReplyDelete
  28. I was really impressed with this ep. I'm glad it wasn't some stupid stunt or some one-episode arc thing... Fate was great, Balthy was hilarious (Ohhh this is awkward...) and we finally see who's behind the soul-grab campaign...and how far Cas will go to win his war (which includes manipulating 'his favorite pets') ...Also, the fact that unsinking the Titanic had a really good use behind it (creating more souls for Cas' "war machine") was a great way to go about it. Great writing all around. :P

    ReplyDelete
  29. You're not the only one. I'm still in awe of her presence. I want Fate back on the show soon... I liked her a lot. :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Interesting fact.. the episode aired on the 99th anniversary of the Titanic sinking...! Love how they throw in those little shout outs..!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well my dear, I think your exams definitely fried your brain because Cas doesn't want the souls for money. xDDD You poor girl. I'd say your brain needs a rest!

I'm guessing that it has something to do with this "war machine" that Fate mentioned. Perhaps a weapon requiring human souls to power it. Perhaps it's Heaven's weapons that need human souls to make it more powerful? I don't know, just some ideas I'm tossing around. Anyway, yeah, you get some rest and watch tomorrow. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  32. I actually took it to mean the souls would just be used as frontlines fodder. the expression war machine not being a weapon but a word relating to not caring about the soldiers as you do about winning the war.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sorry. I was just speculating.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I admire you, Chanelle. I would find it extremely hard to watch a show in a different language and grasp all the idioms and slang. I certainly wouldn't understand near as much as you do if it were in French. You're awesome! Especially after such a hard week at school. Are you going to get a break soon? I hope you have a vacation coming up.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I agree with Dahne, Chanelle. When your first language is french it must be difficult to pick up what's going on sometimes. They do speak pretty fast, and as Dahne said - the slang and, even just the phrasing, must make it even harder for you.
All that and a tough week of exams.
Will you have more exams or are they finished? Good luck anyway :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Really enjoyed it, it was like a great big love bubble. Bro love, the bro's loving Bobby, the bros loving Ellen, Ellen loving the bros and Cas loving Dean and probably Sam....
I am so happy for the boy's relationship right now, they make my heart zing with the awesomeness of it.
And Dean covering up Bobby and the way Sam looked at it him. GAH! Ouchies my heart explodes with the love. Dean....baby you are so beautiful. But about Cas....what is going on...I'm feeling as awkward as Balthi right now with whatever Castiel is up to. I don't like that he's being a tad on the shady side and openly lying to Sam and Dean. We shall see, like Dean I can help but trust the nerd angel, but like Luke Skywalker, I have a bad feeling about this.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I really loved it. A lot.
Cas' storyline just keeps getting better and better, and I thought that I would hate "fate" but kudos to Katie Walder for totally making it work!

Lots of great little moments too: Ellen, Ellen and Bobby, Dean, "is there something on my face", death by bus ("yeah, I'm pretty sure... 6 seconds is too soon"), BALTHIE, tempting fate, "awkward", and did I mention Ellen and Bobby?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I despise people who do that. I wouldn't mind if they genuinely thought it was awful and explained why. :-/

    ReplyDelete
  39. I liked the part with the knives and hatchets and how Sam ran through them like a girl, with his eyes closed.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh yeah and the part with Balthy. Awkwaaaard :))

    ReplyDelete
  41. haha, I just remembered the part where he was denying what he did in front of Faith. "No, I didn't", pff. funny

    ReplyDelete
  42. This was a really amazing episode, such a great one to come back on. The one liners were fantastic ("You totally butterfly-effected history!" "Dude, remember the rule...no Kutcher references."), I loved the Sam and Dean interactions, I loved Bobby and Ellen (not a ship I ever really thought of, but this ep has me sold on it!) and the more I see of Balthazar, the more I like him. But oh Cas, what are you up to. Between this and the 'Cas in a ring of holy oil' that's coming up, things do not look good in that corner. Nice work from Misha though. Nice work from all the actors on this one. Now bring on 'Frontierland'!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I gotta say I was a bit curious how Faith went after those souls that were never born but didn't go after Sam and Dean in real life, seeing how hey cheated their way out of staying dead so many times.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The final destination part at the beginning was so boring but the twist at the end was great. I honestly didn't see that coming. :D Castiel is up to something and I like it. Maybe there was a reason after all why Castiel didn't want Dean to free Sam's soul. It was a bit odd that he was completely against it. Maybe he did work with Crowley at the beginning of the season and that's also why he found his bones in two seconds. I really like this shady Cas. Why does Castiel need souls if he got the weapons to defeat Raphael? Balthazar working for Castiel is definitely a better explaination than Balthy hating the Titantic movie which was pretty lame. Makes you wonder if Balthazar was collecting souls with the angelic weapons under Castiel's instruction. I just wish the new writers would stop behaving like this is the first season, the entire concept of seeing people dieing weird deaths was a bit too much like Mystery Spot 2.0 to be entertaining. I wish they would watch the previous seasons and stop repeating themselves. The truth Goodess dressed like a 50s reporter and Fate like a librarian who picked the wrong glasses. It's stupid. I'm really glad that they used some more music in this episode. 'One way or another' made the entire scene with Sam and Dean funnier than in the preview. The Celine Dion song was a bit too much. I'm also glad that Fate threatened Castiel with her sisters, I hate it when they kill Gods/big entities like flies.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I voted 'OK' but maybe they REALLY REALLY didn't like the deaths at the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Or they were simply honest. ;D People dislike/like episodes for the same reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I liked the fact that Balthazar used the movie as an explanation, it was so funny and outrageous that you knew that it wasn't the real reason he was doing all this.

    ReplyDelete
  48. It was a great episode. Balthazar telling the boys that Cas loved Dean. Oh my word, that was funny. the rock, paper, scissors was good. The look on Dean's face when they went through the jugglers was so reminiscent of him dodging the bum on the street when they were fighting the fairies was so good, but Sam stole that scene . He was hysterical. The goes on and on. Bobby and Ellen was beautiful and heartbreaking. The look Dean's face when he knew both Ellen and Jo were dead again was so sad. Losing them twice must have hurt badly. And what is Cas willing to do to win his war?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Loved seeing Ellen back again - she is one kick-ass hunter and is missed.

I also thought that Dean's reaction to the two dogs was hilarious - recalling the Hell Hounds or the Mystery Spot killer pooch.

    ReplyDelete
  50. SEE I didnt even HEAR war machine!

WOW! But I slept well and after work im gonna rewatch this shit ahhaha

    ReplyDelete
  51. I LOVED the Bobby/Ellen scenes very much :)

But what the bugbitten ever-loving goat-faced demon is going on with Castiel? Seriously.
I love how this episode opened the big question on the angel war... again. And I'm eager to know more about it.

I liked Fate and would like to see her return, or her sisters. Seems like they are somehow part of the Heavenly Order, linked to God and the angels.

I'm real scared of ep 20 now, but first things first. Frontierland is coming up next :D

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hahaha, Okay but I'm joking about the french/english thing being a problem though, I only watch english tv or movies and read most of my books in english too. I'm just kidding. But yeah The part of the ep when Cas talked to FaithI wasnt really .... watching it... i was.... watching.... GLEE. *RUNS AWAYS*

BUT ANY WAY! (sorry, i just hate it when people think i dont understand and stuff, I can miss a word but yeah half my family is in the USA or toronto so im okay)

OKAY enough. And yeah I have a break friday :DDD

    ReplyDelete
  53. NO STOP! I really dont like this thinking! :( PS: I watch gilmore girls, they talk fast ahahahah

    Now im annoyed....

Yeah they are done. (for now) got the finals in 1 month and then its byebye cegep Hello university. and omg 8:30 im gonna be late to work ahhahah BYE

    ReplyDelete
  54. Well I'm Hungarian and it is not that hard to follow English speech IMHO. I mostly only don't get the US pop-culture references. I only understand the global jokes in that regard.

But after long long studying it would be probably harder XD

    ReplyDelete
  55. So Dean and Sam are Cas's "pets." I consider my pets family, so they are family. So there.

Good episode. In all honesty, I started to fall asleep through the first half and even started surfing the web at one point, but the second half got more interesting. Loved the threesome between Cas, Fate, and Balthazar and I became interested in the Bobby/Ellen story when it got sad.

The souls war machine makes me uneasy. I think Cas is investing everything in a strategy that is going to be morally questionable for humans. This weapon (I'm assuming it's a weapon) might explain Death's interest in all of this. He may have helped Dean out because he's got issues with what Cas is building. I bet the weapon also ties back to Crowley's desire to find Purgatory (assuming there are souls there).

    So for crazy speculation:

    - This all left me wondering if maybe Sam's missing soul was tied to the souls war machine, and maybe his soul came back from Hell at the same time as his body, but was being used in testing the weapon prototype. Who knows, Sam might have even consented to this. The show has hammered home that Sam's soul would be so destroyed after being in Hell for so long that Sam would be left drooling on the floor. And we all know Sam isn't going to be drooling in season 7 (just the fans). So maybe there will be a twist, and we'll find out that Sam's soul wasn't in Hell the whole time.

    - The way Cas so easily lied to Sam and Dean made me question whether he was telling the truth when he said Raphael wanted to restart the Apocolypse. Maybe this conflict is all about Cas's war machine, and Raphael never had any plans to pull Lucifer and Michael out of the cage.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I think he only wanted to kill her at that point is because she had marked Sam and Dean for death, and killing her was to protect them.

    ReplyDelete
  57. The way I took it was that she normally doesn't hunt down everyone who cheats death, but the unsinking of the Titanic really sent her over the edge. Killing all of the Titanic descendants was more about making a statement.

    ReplyDelete
  58. awesome episode
loved the rock paper scissors, reminiscing season 2 :D
great one liners and so glads to see ellen again!!
but, this episode seemed to me kinda like the french mistake
awesome episode but only a very small portion actually related to any kind of story arc
love cas though, was happy to see almost everyone in this episode, made it that much more awesome

    ReplyDelete
  59. I thought Cas wanted Fate dead because she was messing up his souls plan and because she wanted the brothers dead. At least he wanted her to back off both.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Perhaps this is why Supernatural didn't return last week with VD and Nikita. I love how they constantly throw things in too. Welcome to SpoilerTV by the way.

    ReplyDelete
  61. My big question is why did she wait 100 years to start killing them. Was she really waiting in heaven to talk to someone that whole time?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Maybe she can't time travel, or doesn't want to? It's confusing, but Balthazar changed the universe (past and present) from this point in the time line. Fate and the angels exist outside of the reality that's being changed, so for her the changes just occurred now, rather than 100 years ago. I think she just wanted to make a statement that this was unacceptable.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I guess it depends on whether the souls of the dead are fuel for Cas's war machine, which we don't know the answer to. I assumed they were, and that by killing the Titanic descendants, Fate wasn't undoing what Cas did, she was just throwing a temper tantrum.

    ReplyDelete
  64. that was the first episode of this season that i truly hated, i mean i never like ellen or jo yet another episdoe where they are treated like this characters so closer to them ,really didn t need that at leats i was spared jo on screen the talking was enough already. plus hated how it wanst even returned to normal for real at the end, both still have this whole timeline in their head and we don t know it .i guess i am the only one but i also found bobby/ellen really weird and random.plus no impala, all those unknown people who didn t get a say and whose lifes were altered, yet they wanted it to stay this way?they could at leats once do an episode where they actually want the real world back instead o f bizarro places.
and charcaters that are killed off for shock, then leave them dead and don t give tehm a agzillion episodes talking about them dying while tehy were only on like two hunt swith them(in real timeline) and yet they never mention/are upset about their cousin gwen, adam etc. fate was done way better than i thought though.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yeah, me too. I think English is not a really hard language to learn. But we also have the advantage that lot of things nowadays are in English (most of the studybooks at the university are in English), so if you come in contact with it a lot, it's not too hard to pick up.

It's mostly the quotes I don't get the first time, but that's often because I don't get the reference at all.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Loved every minute of last night's episode! Good to see Ellen and Bobby again. I was confused for half of the show before figuring out what was really going on. It does make you think, though, of the "what ifs". No Impala? No Apocalypse? No Sam and Dean each taking their turns going to Hell? Life would be rather boring for the boys and for us!

    ReplyDelete
  67. So i'm know wondering why Frontierland was ever supposed to be before this episode. As it seems like this was the episode was suppose to follow And Then There Were None. atleast from how Bobby was still dealing with Rufus' death and they were still trying to find a way to kill Eve. I'm guessing there might have been a script rewrite before they were shot.

And atleast now we have an idea of why Death told Dean to keep digging on the soul thing.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I have to say, the cinematography in this episode was REALLY bad.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Your post doesn't make much sense...

    ReplyDelete
  70. This is a little off-topic, but anyone else notice that V also has a "souls" theme going this year. The V's want to wipe out human souls because souls would be a defense against them. Last year, the big theme around TV land was whether destiny can be changed (SPN, Lost, FlashForward). Time travel was big the previous year (Lost, Life on Mars, and SPN introduced time travel in "In the Beginning"). Do the producers of all these shows meet at a conference before the new season to determine what the theme of the year will be?

    ReplyDelete
  71. That's ridiculous. Do you also hate the people who voted "Awesome" and didn't explain why?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Not quite as much, because 'Awesome' votes don't bother me as much. I would prefer that everyone explain why they voted what they did. I just dislike people who vote 'Awful' without an explanation because I disagree with them. It's arbitrary and unfair, but that's life.

    ReplyDelete
  73. LOVED IT!
One of the better ones so far this season!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. sorry if I upset you. I though I was being supportive.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Cas, Ellen & Bobby both said variations of the same thing: 'not being born at all is better than dying bloody'.
    This has to be significant.
Dean also said something similar to young Mary in The Song Remains the Same.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Nay, I know you mean well love. I'm just in a bad mood today, guess 3 hours of sleep each day for 8 days is doing something to me :S WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED! I KNOW haah.

sorry for that ahaha. LOL my fam dont believe me when I say I understand english so they didnt want to watch a movie in english with me last chrismass "no no no we can put it in french" LIKE REALY? ........ i hate my aunts ahhaah. still dont believe I read the Harry Potter books NAY WAY omg i hate them so MUCH! (dont worry im not 2, i dont hate them for that alone aahha, LONG story ehehhe)

okay im gonna shut it, and watch SPN LOL! hoping it will cure me cause hey, those boys can do miracle.

    J'AI LE CERVEAU BRULÉ

    ReplyDelete
  77. yeah but they always click like 5 sec after we post this. I mean if you dont like the ep you are not in a hurry to come here and say it without even speakin... r thats just me... i do speak a lot.... i,ll try to be better -_-

    ReplyDelete
  78. poor episode!, the only episode that i only watched 2x
but im glad to see ellen n bobby married (i wish its came true) really want to see bobby happy :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. Rewatching, so far so good. I am the only one who thought the scene with Dean questioning the dude about his family was SO WEIRD.. "Nazi?" felt wrong idk ahaha.

OMG! That girl got strangled by her scarf in a printer??????????????? I DID NOT catch that pwahhahah!
And here I go with the crying over Ellen again ! AW BOBBY I LOVE YOU!

AHAHA LOL! "Too soon" "Yeah dean, I'm pretty sure 6 sec is too soon" PWAHHAH okay no more twiting while watching for me! damn it, i miss so many joke! (the ep wasnt even funny :P)

OH! "Tempting faith" SO THAT'S why they were trying to get killed. I think I'm gonna cry, i was SO LOST.

Okay, the scene with Cas and money haahah. Let's see if my brain works again hahaa. (agree she is hot) PWAHHA "Ball crap"...
Well in my defense... she did say the WORD "money"
? what no I wasnt THAT wrong... He wanted the souls, not kill faith. Killing faith was only to save S/D... Any way, if not it makes no sense to sink the damn ship.

Overused of "They were never born, thats deferent for being killed" tsktsktsk Dean said it first to dada now stop it. (no it was mom.... any way)

WOW "Yes, ABSOLUTLY thats what he did" I cant believe they didnt even see it... LIE!

any who im done rewatchin. I wasnt that off actually.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I agree it was said TOO many times not to not mean something...makes one worry.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Great! Better than I expected.I couldn't find any continuity lapses to quibble over. Of course it helps the writers to have an experienced, SPN director like Phil Sgriccia directing it.

Plot thickens... I had guessed that Balty was working with Castiel and they unsunk the Titantic to help their war effort but did not guess - but should have - that it was so generations of "new souls" could be created for the souls' power.

I definitely think if Dean hadn't thwarted SoullessSam's plan to "scar his vessel" Balthazar (or Castiel, maybe) would have claimed it.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yes, I did. I love V and hope it gets a S3.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I think you're correct and to Fate the "non-sinking" - because to her it did just happen - and she'd have hunted down all the survivors soon after Balty unsunk the ship.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Have company and couldn't watch right away.

I wanna keep Ellen and Bobby together! Waaaahhhh!!!!

I'm not a car person...I stared at that mustang for a good minute and a half trying to sus out what wasn't sitting right with my eyes.

So many scenes to love! Was a little thrown by the fact that Sam and Dean didn't fix things. Cas did. Can I have Ellen and Bobby back together...again... :-)

Seriously, I really liked Sam and Dean being there for Bobby. He's always there for the boys so I really liked getting a scene where they're there for them.

Does anyone else get the sense that maybe possibly the fact that Sam and Dean are Cas' achilles heel that when we get to the Heaven war story that fact is going to come back to haunt them?

Oh, and I loved the dialog in the scene where Balthazar confesses to having save the Titanic so very much. A broke down lounge singer somewhere in Canada. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  85. OH!!!! I picked up on Cas using the 50,000 souls as fodder in his war but it didn't even occur to me to make the connection back to the soul grabs that we were seeing at the beginning of the season. Kewl

    ReplyDelete
  86. Oh dear. Perhaps, Chanelle.... Unless you're an American Nielsen house hold you should consider postponing your viewing until you're fully conscious. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  87. POSTPONING! I don't think my heart could handle this ahaah! But next week I will CLOSE my damn computer for the SPN hour hahaha, it will do magic to my understanding ahahha

    ReplyDelete
  88. What can i say a great episode getting back on track of how we all used to love SNP . I mean it has also been great just season 6 the first half not as good as this half . Cant wait till next weeks

    ReplyDelete
  89. Fate does reference money when she says to Cas, "You can't just mint money"; it seems she references it in the context of Cas trying to use the souls as an easy fix to further the war effort somehow, like when Germany tried to mint new money to get out of the mess WWI caused for their economy (my nerd is showing), but anyways, you heard right :)

    ReplyDelete
  90. Yeah I wasnt THAT far off the tracks but still hahah. Cas didnt want actual money ahahah.

  91. My only thing with Castiel and Atropos' scene is she is complaining about him throwing out the book, and that the freedom way is just chaos. The writers should have had Castiel remind her in some way that God brought him back two times and the second time reconnected him to Heaven. Also some think it was God that made the bright reflection off the impala which made Sam look in to it and have all those memories and if you recall when Castiel and Dean were in the Impala, Castiel said God may have helped more than they knew.

  92. It was such a great episode. I thought it was an amazing idea to make Ellen and Jo not die in a butterfly-effect kind of consequence of unsinking Titanic. It was actually believable. And I loved the idea of Ellen and Bobby together! but the end was so sad, when the boys were like, he doesn't even know what he could have had, or sth like this. Sooo sad, poor Bobby.

I love Balthazar and I actually love it that he didn't save Titanic simply because of the movie. He's actually so amazingly faithful to Cas.
I can't believe Cas was behind all this, just to gain more souls, but I loved the twist, I didn't see that coming. I'm really, really curious what it all is actually about and what Cas is really doing up there (are we EVER gonna find out?). Well, at least he still cares for the boys. Cause he does. Just like they said in the end, he gave up on 50.000 lives to save them. And probably missed out on a great opportunity to win the heaven war.

  93. OMG, I'm such an idiot! And I was just sitting there all episode long, wondering how on earth Dean won the rock paper scissors thing... of course it was because of Titanic! lol

  94. Hey Rochey, you're back!

I agreed with a lot of what you said here. I also wasn't invested in the Bobby/Ellen thing - partially because I knew it was fake and temporary going in, and partially because while I love both characters, I need more than them standing around the kitchen cooking to excite me. The Bobby scene that was more touching to me was at the end when Dean and Sam were tucking him in and talking about him and Rufus. That was when it hit home that he had lost his best friend, and that was real.

I need to watch the episode again, but I wasn't as in love with the Dean/Sam scenes as other people were. While I'd never criticize a scene of the two of them, I don't like it when TV shows fill the episodes with lots of call backs to old jokes and scenes (rock-paper-scissors, dean-afraid-of-dogs, falling-furniture) rather than coming up with fresh material. It just makes me sad because it's a reminder that the show is past its prime. I think I'm the only one on this board whose not hoping for a bitch/jerk moment soon - unless it really feels spontaneous.

The angels saved this episode for me, and I liked the Blondie music and the detour to White Russia. Fate was cool too. Next week should be awesome.

  96. I liked it, mainly because we're back from Hellatus. I think Cas cherishes the Winchester's friendship and is upset that he has done things to jeopardize that...well intentioned or not. Loved all the pop culture references, especially "One Way or Another" by Blonde! Loved that song as a child (on 8 track). And the fact that Dean won rock-paper-scissors was too cool - you definitely knew you were in an alternate world then. Atropos had attitude which was fun to watch...I don't think we've seen the last of her (season 7 maybe?).

Though I admit at first I had a hard time remembering it was an alternate world but after about two minutes it finally clicked. Loved Balthazar's fake reason for unsinking the ship...am in total agreement there.

As for the soul's I have a theory that Sam's soul was the most powerful soul to covet and Cas was wanting to use it but couldn't get it out. That's why he was so passionate about Dean NOT putting it back in Sam - he was working on a way to use it. And that would be the most regrettable thing he could have done...used his friend's soul as a war machine. And I'm not buying the sudden sympathy Cas had toward Sam from the beginning of the season - just struck me as odd that he suddenly cared more about Sam's well being.

  97. *hugs chris684*

Yay...i'm back...well...no...i never really left...i've just been soooooo Lazy with my posts....typing takes a lot outta you LOL

I'm late though...i normally get right in there a couple of hours after the eppy, but spoiler Tv was not my friend...Can you believe that it wouldn't let me post my comments....I don't think it likes me very....WAIT...why am i talkin bout it like it's ALIIIIVE

    *scratches head*

'Dean and Sam were tucking him in and talking about him and Rufus. That was when it hit home that he had lost his best friend, and that was real.'

    I MISS GRUMPY OLE MENNNNNNNNNN!

Ooops, sorry...i didn't mean to make your ear drums bleed :D

Yeah that was incredibly sweet.....We don't normally see Dean do something as chick flicky as that...and that blanky moment was adorable...Sorry, i must be the only one that leaves a mess of 'squees' all over the place when Boys go all Loving <333

'I don't like it when TV shows fill the episodes with lots of call backs to old jokes and scenes (rock-paper-scissors, dean-afraid-of-dogs, falling-furniture) rather than coming up with fresh material. It just makes me sad because it's a reminder that the show is past its prime'

Yeah, i see what you're saying...I don't think it's past its prime.....It's different...6 years will do that, but i always want to tune in and watch in a way i don't with other shows...I'm still in it's thrall LOL , but, yeah i respect that you feel that way<33

Oh...I love all the little wink...wink..nudge...nudge...our fans are watching references...so it won't surprise you that i LMAO during Rock/Paper/Scissors, cause Dean won...and Dean never wins..I dunno...it's cute, and references like that remind me of our lil family and how invested i am in show that i remember the lil details....Yes...i know...Weird LOL

'I liked the Blondie music and the detour to White Russia. Fate was cool too. Next week should be awesome.'

Oh...yeah...I loved the 'c'mon...lets die montage' soooo much....Also, i think the show when it's allowed is great at choosing the right music to go with a scene so i <3 very much....Yeah...FATE was cool...and she has 2 sisters...even cooler...MAN....that was some temper tantrum though...What is it with the higher beings and their 'hulk smash' moments....It's hilarious how childish they are...Lucifer being the definition of the word :))

Cas's betrayal though...hmmm...i knew it was something like this. but apart from my Bad Cas comments....i'm not really feeling it....If Daddy God was to smite him where he stands...i'd be all halfheartedly "oh..poor Cas" but i'd be like "next"...don't get me wrong...i do like him, and he's adorable and interesting, but incredibly wasted for a REGULAR....Now if Bobby was in Cas's place i'd be all "NOOOOOOOOOOO" Then i'd fall to the floor in a twitching heap....can't answer why...i've become incredibly invested in the ole codger...and i love how much he's in show lately....It makes me pleased as pie....hmmm....love me some pie :D

I must be really 'lonely' to bleed your eyes/ears off....but...HEY...i'm back!!!

ps: well...guess what happened when i'd tried posting...same damn thing.....It's not spoiler tv...It's 'opera' that won't let me play....well....SCREW YOU OPERA.....I have to use FIREFOX......this is incredibly disapointing to me.....excuse me while i go throw a 'higher being' temper tantrum of epic proportions...Sorry in advance for breaking your windows....Yes...i'm that loud *grumbles*

    <33

  98. I don't know if anyone's still reading these comments, but if they are, there are probably some people fuming right now at my "past their prime" comment, so I should clarify. Most weeks I don't think SPN is past its prime. It shouldn't be, they've got some good stories to tell. And I didn't mean that comment as a criticism of this year's storyline. But when too many of the episodes are callbacks to previous episodes, this is just what pops into my head. Like everything else, callbacks used sparingly are a nice surprise. When overused ... well, they're overused. I don't know if you watched Lost, but the last season drove me crazy with all of the callbacks to the earlier scenes. Of course, it turned out that the reason everyone was reliving their glory days was that everyone was dead (in the alt) or getting ready to die (on the island).

  99. Oh yeah...I agree about LOST....and you are entitled to say how you feel about what you want...so let them Fume away.....FYI...I am Fume free, and love everything that you say, for better or worse....We're Buds don't ya know <33

  100. I kinda like when they do rockpaperscissors though. And the others you mentioned. To me they're like family in-jokes. We have similar things in my family that signify our shared past.
