    Male detective needs some work. His character didn't make sense...he's head of this unit and can't do even basic police work. What?

    The squad characters need better explanation. The little bitchy one makes no sense; I don't think she acts very well either. Is she besties with the old boss? Why is she such a cow-bag?

    The King character is pretty fricking great. She has awesome dialogue and isn't cheesy. The acting on the part of Price-Francis is believable and I like the character she's made. There aren't a bunch of badly delivered lines and other characters having to describe her as a smart ass. She just is one.
    I've seen Price-Francis in other roles, and this is by far the best. I grew up watching her in one tv series or another. I hope this one lasts.

    I have not found it online yet so I haven't been able to watch.... but I LOATHE when cop crime shows do that!

    When the entire police department can't do anything right but the new guy or girl can solve cases in seconds with no new information...ugh! At least on Criminal Minds or the like it's more believable to me than some shows. Castle has a good balance of the cops doing good work and Castle himself solving cases.

    Pretty fun series on first impression.

    I loved the gun dropping on the bathroom floor and sliding over to the next stall! A lot of good humor in the pilot, but also a lot of good drama. So many series go more comedy or more crime drama, but KING balanced it very well in my eyes.

    Another thing I like a lot is that the lead actress is already married and won't be flirting with her 'partner' like so many ridiculous office romances in most cop shows. It's about time for a good "we don't even like you, but have to work with you" work environment on TV.

    I don't really feel the comparisons to The Shield that I read once or twice beforehand. Overall I think it has very good potential and will tune in again. I liked it a lot!

    After watching it I did not get the impression the male lead detective was inept until King got there.... just too focused on one suspect. That kind of thing happens far too often in the real world.
