  2. Best episode of the season and definitely a classic Grey's Anatomy episode! So glad Callie and her daughter are okay!

  3. Was ok, some scenes were good, some others kinda cheesy, thumbs up to Chyler Leigh and Jessica Capshaw, my favorites of the night, both singing (Sara too but, we know that Sara can sing!) and acting!!

This episode was phenomenal. Everyone had surprising good voices, especially Callie- she rocked this episode.

  5. I loved this episode i must say one non-positive thing; i did find in one or two scenes when it got really intense like i was verging on tears the singing kinda put it off. other than that as a whole the episode was EPIC!!!! Sara, Jessica, Chyler, Chandra, Justin, Ellen, Eric, Kevin everyone was amazin!!!!!!

  6. They ruined what could have been a perfectly good episode with the singing. It was painful.

  7. The plot was fantastic, the singing made me cringe the entire time. That's not to say that the actors were bad singers-- the singing detracted from the seriousness of the situation. Plus, it might have been my live stream connection, but everyone's voices sounded wayyyy over-processed. Even Sara's voice sounded autotuned.

  8. It was okay, I have mix reviews because on one had I would have enjoyed it more if it was just Callie who sang. I also was not all into the whole set up of how they entered the songs. The best songs are the ones that were song by Callie. At moments it was a little cheesy. However the storylines were good and several characters had great moments on screen. I think Sloan and Arizona were at the top of their game, I sided with Mark when it came to make a choice to save Callie or the baby. If Callie ended up dead it would not matter to her if the baby survived or not because, hello she is dead, gone, she won't be able to see her or him. It was a risk, it was not an amazing episode like Buffy the Vampire Slayer series musical.

  9. Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars? Seriously?

  10. Despite everyone's talent, I thought it was very confusing and kinda cheesy at some points. The storyline was great, but I would have prefer a drama filled, old school GA episode, with a lot of background sad songs, (not performed by the characters). Their singing kinda distracted me from the seriousness of the situations. Cheers to some Mark/Lexie moments, Meredith's breakdown, and yay for Teddy and Henry !

  11. I'm sorry for being so vulgar, but I have to say it... it was fucking terrible! Worst Grey's episode I've seen yet, and I was so disappointed.

  12. Yeah I'm not sure, when Owen sang for the first time (when nobody but Callie had sung before) I cringed so badly, if it was just Callie singing in a weird out of body experience the episode would have been way better, also, in not sure who thought Kevin McKidd could sing, I mean seriously? And the AutoTune on Eric Dane was so bad, but whatever. I liked Ramirez' performances the best, so I was happy with that.

The storylines of the episode were really good though, Christina and Teddy's confrontation at the end really was a good idea, Christina needs to learn who's boss. And Meredith breaking down in the lift was awesome, if Ellen Pompeo doesn't submit this episode for Best Lead Actress in a Drama it will be a waste.

  13. Well, tonight Grey's has jumped the shark in an orgy of self indulgent douche baggery. It was painfully cheesy ... the type of cheesy that can't even be enjoyed. I flinched at points. Shonda Rhimes needs a dose of reality in that not everything Grey is great. They can produce crap especially when they think the sun always shines out of there behinds. I had to shower and watch a palette cleanser (The Big Bang Theory) before I dared watch another drama. Ick.

Musical episodes should be mostly light hearted with one or two serious moments and they tried to reverse this. It turned out so badly... did they not preview this before it was released? I had to shower and watch a palette cleanser (The Big Bang Theory) before I dared watch another drama. Icky.

  18. Not Good!

I think it might have worked better if they just had Callie's "out of body experience" ghost be the only one who sang.

  19. Well, I think this was pretty poor episode , the singing was just too much :( And why did Owen sing so many times? every time he started i changed the channel. Also Addison should have got more screen time. GA is just not what it used to be, and it used to be soooo good.

  20. Grey's is really amazing, just not this episode, which was a hell of a lot better than most episodes of most series', don't let it ruin the whole seven plus years for you.

  21. Oh don't worry i'll never quit Grey's , i love it too much, i just think that some characters should get more screen time than others (e.g. the new cast has more screen time than the original cast imo)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yeah, I hear that a lot, to be honest I think that Callie is basically a main character, but yeah, I don't really like how much time the Mercy Wester's get, who were yoy talking about? :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh Callie is the main character for sure lol, and then i think Owen(Kevin McKidd) has a lot of screen time, and also Arizona(but i dont mind when it comes to her). And have to say even tough i wasnt a fan of Izzie i kinda miss her as well as George.

  24. I'm all for sharing the screen time, as it is an ensemble cast. As long as we get a decent amount of our original folk. Like the hour following Meredith - that was brilliant.

But yeah, regarding this episode, far too much Owen.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh, and Callie is definitely a main character. Just because she wasn't brought in at the very beginning doesn't mean that she's not. She's more than proved she's a brilliant character.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sorry, complete mind blip, when I said main I meant original, I mean along with Kate Walsh (before she left) they were both original characters in my opinion, they only missed like the first 14 and 8 episodes respectively so its just like whatever.
I really love Callie as a character so the more she's in it the better, and Arizona too. Owen is okay, but not singing. I have to say my heart is true to Meredith, Christina and Izzie though and the awesome that is Bailey.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh i think the actress who plays Callie is very talented there's no denying. Way too much Owen in this episode, and yeah the Meredith episode was pretty awesome.
    Cant wait for next episode

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah Kate Walsh is an original in my mind as well,i wish she wouldnt have left for PP, and the more Bailey the better

That was great, Ioved how they sang the songs that are always recognized as Grey's songs made it great.

  32. I wish they would of just played the songs which is what made them phenomenal in the first place. The songs are iconic because of the moments they happened at so they intensified the drama in certain scenes. Like Greg Laswell's "Off I Go" during Izzie in the elevator looking at Denny/George at the end, or Meredith and Derek looking at each other during Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars". All they had to do was play the songs during drama moments, but with them singing it kind of ruined it. Such as when Lexie went to soothe Mark in the stair well. She was singing, then paused to say her line "I don't hate you", then sing again. It was just too much that it interfered with the story.

I wish they would of just played the songs during iconic drama moments like they used to. The show uses music so much better that way.
