I thought it was good. I was worried for a few minutes when Michael said he'd go along with Simon's plan, because Sophia is emerging as a genuinely scary threat, and an interesting character. Mutiny from her ranks would weaken the story. So when Michael betrayed Simon I was pleased.
Don't know what it means that I'm the first to comment this late after airing. Could STV regulars be losing interest in The Event?
Definitely agree. It almost lost me after the break but, man, am I glad I came back and am caught up now. I just really hope that the producers expect to get cancelled and wrap up the season accordingly. Leave something open in case of a miracle in ratings, but be prepared and reward the fans that watched throughout.
1rst off: Are we still never gonna find out how the boyfriend got a gun, how he was told to get on the plane, and were the hell those 2 scientists from the rooftop went???? 2nd: The flashbacks were not annoying. What's annoying is that you set up all these backstories which leaves us wondering, "wow, what else occured before the story began in the pilot?" This show reminds me of heroes season 4. Meaning: Even though the episodes and stories are pretty good and showing potential, it's hard to forget the unforgiving leap frogging and shark jumping. This show will not have a season 2, but I wil go down with the ship.
I certainly hope they answer some of those questions as well. Real shame that it's unlikely to get a 2nd season, the last few episodes have been great.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
