Here’s some sssssmokin’ casting news: Jim Carrey will pop up in the season finale of The Office, EW has learned.
Carrey will guest star as someone who interviews for the management post that is being vacated by Michael Scott (the departing Steve Carell)—and seemingly handed over to Deangelo Vickers (Will Ferrell).
Carrey won’t be the only celebrity vying for the job; Ricky Gervais, Will Arnett, James Spader, Ray Romano, and Catherine Tate also play potential replacements in the hourlong episode, which airs May 19. An NBC spokesperson would not comment.

Awesome! Out of all the guest stars I look forward to Jim Carrey the most because he is one of the funniest people in my opinion. And as much as I like Will Ferrell, he just hasn't seemed to fit in The Office to me.
ReplyDeleteCringe. I really don't find Jim Carrey, Tate is about five hundred times more funny.
ReplyDeleteWow, adding Jim Carrey to the list is quite the coupe. I’d kind of expect him to want to be an episode with his Bruce Almighty Co-Star, but throwing him in for the finale is brilliant. This is going to be one of those episodes that is a classic. People are going to remember this one right up there with The Contest episode from Seinfeld. As a DISH customer/employee I can’t wait to watch this…I’ll be out of town that night but I use the TV Everywhere app on my iPhone and can watch live or recorded TV off my home receiver from anywhere in the world that I have a 3G or wifi connection. Can’t wait to see who takes over Dunder Mifflin!
ReplyDeleteIf Will Ferrell or Jim Carrey get the job im turning in my P45 or the american equivelent! Sorry they are the unfunniest people in the world. Talk about telegraph the joke in!!!! They make me cringe just thinking about them. Well maybe im off to the job centre then?
