  1. Really? This is absurd. "You want me to be the killer because you don't wanna admit you have feelings for me". If anybody who doesn't watch The Mentalist saw this, would think that this character is in the serie for ages, because Jane is now 'having feelings' for her, and such a thing cannot happen so suddenly. For those who does watch, this stills absurd, because Jane is not ready to let anyone get closer, and now he have feelings for a woman that just appeared and is obviously a whore? Come on, Bruno Heller, Really? You're really doing it?
No, I'm not asking for a kiss between Jane and Lisbon, I just want more realism, because THIS is even MORE absurd than Kristina Freye.

  2. I agree with you. It's like they're hooking him up with anyone and everyone possible except for the OBVIOUS, more well-rounded choice.

  3. I agree completely. But I also take solace in the fact that she's supposedly "cunning and manipulative," so here's to hoping her comment is merely an attempt to get under his skin and the episode isn't what the promo makes it appear to be.

Why all the criticism BEFORE watching the actual episode? Promos are often misleading. And even if this epi's storyline turns out ridiculous, let's save our breath for criticising after we know all the facts. This negativity doesn't help enjoy the show, let's be open minded, especially so as the last episode was so fantastic.

  5. Because Lisbon didn't sleep with Walter Mashburn right? I'm sick of Jisbon shippers, and being one myself that takes a lot. You need to get it into your heads that Jane and Lisbon will NOT happenfor a while yet, if ever. Heller and Baker have said there's a chance, but only towards the planned end of the show (which is planned for 5-7 seasons). Are you tellings me that till then you're going to begrudge Lisbon and Jane a connection with people of the opposite sex? Just because you and a bunch of other fans like go go *SQUEEE* every time Jane/Lisbon connect? BTW, i realise you said you're not asking for a kiss between Jane and Lisbon, but this post is just to address what i know a lot of Jisbon fans will be saying about this promo and upcoming episode. All this is before i even mention the absurdity of some of the things you've said like 'and now he have feelings for a woman that just appeared and is obviously a whore?'. Wow, i'd love to see your contacts, they're obviously able to supply you with an early viewing of an episode that doesn't air until next week...

  6. I agree. People need to calm down a bit.
First of all I don't think there will happen something similar to what happened with Lisbon & Mashburn. Jane still loves his wife and child very much which was made clear earlier this season again. Also do you really think he'd risk that woman's life after all what happened to Kristina? Yes he might be flirting with her but geez that is Jane. He always does but that doesn't mean he'll be in love with her or jump in bed with her . Have you even considered he's totally playing her but trying to make it look like he likes her?
Just saying that with this season's overall story arc it's highly unlikely that he will move on with another woman. Just use your brain for once ;)

And really I do ship J/L but some people make it all so sour for me. I totally loved Red Hot and people need to realize that there is more in the world that just shipping J/L.
I'm not even sure I want Jane and Lisbon together anymore. I feel it's better for both of them to just stay friends and for Lisbon to move on with another man who makes her happy. It's just my humble opinion but I don't think Jane can ever let go of his family and his love for them and I don't want Lisbon to only be half loved.
She deserves someone who worships her a 100 %. So let jane continue flirting with women and give Lisbon a love interest finally (that or bring Mashburn back ;)).

    Just my two cents here.

  7. IF the episode ended up with Jane having feelings for the woman (and I'm not saying I think it will), my concerns wouldn't be in that he's connecting with a woman other than Lisbon, but in the fact that Jane is taking that step at all with anyone. In the context of the story arc, that would be kind of illogical. We already know he still hasn't moved on with his wife (he is still wearing his wedding ring, for godsakes) and even his date with Kristina was interrupted by a heartbreaking 'I can't do this' moment. Not to mention his trust in anyone has certainly not been improving this season. I feel that Jane's absolute dedication to his wife will never go away until he reaches the redemption he's looking for, by killing Red John or whatever. If it ever goes away at all.

Also, we have to remember, the promo of this episode suggests Jane wholeheartedly believes the woman is a cold-blooded killer. He is trying to catch her and put her in jail. Feelings for her? My guess is they aren't that strong :P

  8. I'm echoing what some people have said here; though I do think Lisbon and Jane, and the ideo of them together, positively adorable, I also think the way people get all nutty over them is a little annoying. I don't expect them to get together any time soon, if ever.

Like Simon Baker said, if I remember correctly, Jane needs someone that can bring out the man in him. I love Lisbon, I really do, but he has a point; she definitely brings out the teenage boy in him. If they're ever to get together both characters really need to grow up and in the meantime it's totally fine to explore other things. And so what if Jane randomly gets infatuated with a lady one episode, it happens in real life all the time. Sometimes you see someone you just like, for whatever reason, and quickly get over it.

Besides, there's nothing so bad about them just having a very meaningful not romantic relationship. I found the scene in the last episode much more touching than anything on the show so far and guess what, it didn't involve romance or Lisbon at all! :)

  9. I said she's a whore because she is being a slut that had his husband killed and is after another man days after. That's all. And about he having feelings for her, it's just about the idea Heller give with the promo, not about his feelings for real. Also, about Mashburn, he was an one night stand, and such a thing cannot happen with Jane, because he will only open up himself to somebody if he really loves this woman. I believe that's what Jisbon fans are worried about. We don't know what Heller thinks. We're afraid that the couple we love so much may not happen, or happen in the last episode, as happened with Scully and Mulder. I guess most of the fans think that if they don't make it clear to Heller that we really want Jisbon to happen, he won't care about it and is gonna bring another woman to make Jane fall in love with. And if you don't like Jisbon, you'll never know the feeling we have when we see a woman in his couch. And I'm saying all of this BEFORE the episode because I'm tired of how Heller fucked up with the scenes that used to make us happy, even being little things. This scenes just doesn't exist anymore. "I want you to know that you can trust me". And now he is lying to her?? Sorry, I believe that if something make us happy, we don't need to feel ashamed of scream when he shows some feelings for Lisbon. It's been hard, by the way, to keep enjoying the couple, by the lack of momments we're having. So, please, understand, this episode is not the reason of the protest, it's just another reason.
