The cast of 'Glee' will be having "fun, fun, fun, fun" pretty soon. Confused? Well, it was bound to happen. The cast of 'Glee' will reportedly cover Rebecca Black's YouTube sensation 'Friday.'
According to Vulture, the song will get the 'Glee' treatment from cast members Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet and Mark Salling.
This isn't the first time 'Glee' has covered an uber-popular song. They have previously performed Cee Lo Green's 'Forget You,' a number of Lady Gaga's hits and later this season repeat guest star Gwyneth Paltrow will sing Adele's 'Turning Tables.'
The one difference? Those songs are by actual recording artists; 'Friday' is by a 13-year-old girl.

ReplyDeleteTell me this is a joke!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen Conan did it - awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhen Jimmy did it with Steve, Taylor and Roots - awesome.
When Glee does it - it'll suck like everything else they do.
Hahaha, are they for real?
ReplyDeleteCan't top Colbert/Fallon/Hicks version!
ReplyDeleteI despise them from the bottom of my heart.
ReplyDeleteMurphy is like a magpie drawn to money or whatever's fancy and shiny.
Conan and Stephen Colbert were awesome but them, yuk. I really think about stopping watching this show, I'm stuck at episode 2.06 and have no motivation to continue. This doesn't help.
I sure hope they invite the kid to the set!
ReplyDeleteShe was just doing it for fun, not to be a star, and sure it was dreadful but remember Rachel singing to her hairbrush?.. Kids are kids.
This can't be true!! :O
ReplyDeleteFor God's sake, WHAT'S HAPPENING TO GLEE?! First season was classic. Amazing songs getting great renditions, focus on main cast, consistent and believable storylines and characters.. And now?
ReplyDeleteMurphy fell to commercialism, and would rather focus on guest stars, weird storylines that attempt to deliver an educational message, and characters like Sue that change their personality every episode. Really sad.

what the heck?! things like this about Glee really really REALLY piss me off.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think Glee's standards could get any lower after that godforsaken Bieber episode. I was wrong.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big meme guy but I always appreciate the Godzilla facepalm.
ReplyDeleteim sure its gonna be funny though
ReplyDelete:D the episodes after 2x06 are the ones that made me Gleek crazy ;P hope you try it,
ReplyDeletethey made fun of bieber
ReplyDeletetsktsktsk I'll defend glee to the end ahhaha.
no way. this has to be fake.
ReplyDeletedon't they realize that this song got so much publicity because it was BAD?! that's it...im officially over glee...
ReplyDeleteoh please, everyone who is complaining about this, i really don't understand it. first, glee does covers, it's not like all they ever did was create stunning musical numbers, some of it is supposed to be cheesy. in fact, doing "friday" is perfectly suited for glee. second, isn't the whole point of glee to support outcasts and underdogs? so for everyone who watches glee to be upset at the use of rebecca black on the show to me is contradictory. and anyone who is commenting saying, "i hate glee" then why are you here wasting you valuable life reading about it? hmm? how about get a life and read about things you care about?
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have said it better myself. If people don't like Glee, why read about it or listen to the songs? No one's forcing you to.
ReplyDeleteIs this real life?
ReplyDeleteI bet this will be better than the original song. I bet it is something funny because I can't stop laughing!
