This close to the series I am going to refrain from watching these.... or at least try, but thanks for the heads up! It isn't long now until the new best show on TV makes its premiere.
I admire your restraint. I haven't watched the 15-minute preview but I figured that I'd give these clips a go. I'm raring at the bit now, I can't wait until this weekend!
Well I have not watched these yet.... but I have hit play and then pause twice now! HA!
I just hate when I see a lot of ads for movies and all the best lines are in the ads and nothing new is as fun or funny. With 70 or so HBO released extras linked here or on Youtube... the Comcast exclusives... the first 2 or 3 scenes sneak peak last week... I know I have seen a lot of the first episodes already honestly. In no way will it stop me from enjoying the premiere I'm sure but still... Maybe it is me trying to prove to myself that my anal retentive obsessive collecting of all things GoT has a few limits and I have a little willpower left in me....
1 day, 1hour, 42 minutes and 01 seconds 1 day, 1hour, 42 minutes and no seconds 1 day, 1hour, 41 minutes and 59 seconds
My mind is a buzz too!!! I read a review or interview with GRRM about the adaptation.... and a certain change between the books and the series that has been driving me mad!
HBO has released an official "viewer's guide". It's interactive with family trees, character synopsis, region maps, and quite a bit of useful information.
I'm actually getting a little worried about the amount of reviews and interviews I'm reading. Even in the few clips I've seen, the criticisms are really sticking with me. It doesn't mean that I don't like what I'm seeing (I love it), it's just that I'm probably going to go into this with too much knowledge (both from having read the book and from having read dozens of reviews). Lol, I'll refrain from asking what plot point this is for now. We can discuss it more throughout the airing of the show.
I know how yu feel. There was so much released last week Ii overloaded on it I think. I am no less excited for the series itself, but I think I reached my limit of promotional material prior to the series actually airing.
If you want to know the change between book and series let me know. It is a nonspecific spoiler that I think I have narrowed down, but who knows. it was fun to think of who/what it could be.... then it drove me to insomnia rereading the books and analyzing who /what it could be. Ha1
It's amazing how good the books are even if you are reading them for the 3rd time in a year!
Ha! I am reading AFfC right now and hope to be finished before this time tomorrow.... I look at the map every break and re-imagine the scenes I have just read... It adds a lot :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

:O that's beautiful! Wow! I'm going to re-read the books with this page open :D.
ReplyDeleteOh! Is it the thing about character who meets his or her end in Season 1, even though they were slated to die in Book 3?

ReplyDeleteYep. I figured you would have read it too if you read as much as I have this week!
