Not that I know of, Aydrian. When it comes to Bones fans, I've learned to take everything said with a grain of salt. Also, judging by the comments following the article, Geoff Stults isn't doing himself any favors with the Bones fan community with how he's being perceived in the interview.
It is possible that people have gotten ahold of a script at this point, but I'd take it with a grain of salt. My guess, based purely on where the storyline has been going this season, is that is in fact what happens, but who knows?
I liked the interview. I don't care if he has sex with Brennan or not. She is grown woman who can make her own decisions. I thought he sounded excited, honest and funny.
I'm a Bones fan and I must admit that I'm kinda confused as to where the animosity is coming from. Personally, I don't find the concept of this possible new show interesting, but I'm a little unclear as to how the actor offended Bones fans in the interview.
From reading the comments, I'd surmise that it comes from Stults' repeated use of obscenities and repeated allusions to being somehow typecast as a pretty boy, hence the multiple references about being made to wear tight-fitting clothes.
Personally, I thought the guy was just being honest. It's nice to read an interview and not have to wade though the same empty praise and rehearsed lines of gratitude.
I hate to keep harping on fellow Bones fans, but a lot of them are like that unstable cache of dynamite from Lost. The slightest little disturbance can set 'em off.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
In the comments, a couple people mention that Brennan turns down sex with the new guy. Is there any actual evidence of this?

LOL I guess I had no idea that so many Bones fans were such shrinking violets that a couple of F bombs would give them fainting spells.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree. I thought it was an interesting interview.
