I wonder how many slaves on Spartacus could manage NOT to be described as damaged emotionally from abuse.... just sayin!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that synopsis is all we will ever know about episode 12 of CHAOS??
ReplyDeleteHa, very likely :)
ReplyDeleteGood point!
ReplyDeleteSo, the Castle death will be captain Montgomery. It's a shame, I really liked the character.
ReplyDeleteWho will be the next captain?
Interesting WC scoop it's probabbly not gonna be Neal, nice as he is I don't think it's in his nature to do that. :/
ReplyDeleteThat Spartacus scoop isn't casting news, it's RE-casting news :O! Naevia was in both Blood and Sand and Gods of the Arena. I understand why they've re-cast Andy, but I can't imagine why someone else needs replacing. That sucks :(. Oh well, thanks for the scoop! It's an important one :)!
ReplyDeleteThe actress who played her has resigned. It's a good thing they're still going to tell Neavia's story with another one;)
ReplyDeleteI have never watched spartacus. What do you guys think of it? I have heard alot of positive things about it but never pulled myself together and actually watched it. Maybe if it's any good I should add it to my blog about tv shows
ReplyDeleteThanks. I think you're about the only one who brings Psych scoops. Keep'em coming!
ReplyDeleteSeason 6 sounds awesome. Why, oh why, does it start in the Fall? :(
I absolutely recomend the 13 episodes of Blood and Sand.
ReplyDeleteHowever Gods of the Arena was a rather lukewarm experience for me....
And what with the Spartacus (and now also the Naevia) recasting I do have some worries about S2...
Did you like "The 300"? I watched most of the first season and enjoyed it once I got past a few things. It has slow-motion blood spatter and some ridiculous fight stunts. It is not about realism so much as over the top entertainment and maybe a little shock here and there. Pretty good acting, decent set value and good entertainment value....once you accept it doesn't try to be realistic like Rome was.
ReplyDeleteIf you go in looking for historical drama you might be disappointed, but if you go in looking for some action and drama it was pretty good.
Gods of the Arena was a step or two below Blood and Sand to me.
And will he / she be as tolerant of Castle's involvement in the precinct's investigations?
ReplyDeleteThere were lots of good things about Gods of the Arena but the one part I could not stand was Batiatus and his daddy issues. I really hated that subplot.
ReplyDeleteI think if it was handled deftly it would have been okay, but it was so heavy-handed! It did get old fast....
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious and a good observation. I'm fairly certain that there haven't been too many well-adjusted slaves throughout history. (except maybe Sally Hemings)
ReplyDeleteWhile the show, on the outside, comes across as mindless blood, sex, and general nudity, it's actually got some really wonderful acting, pacing, and writing. The first episode is pretty good and then the plot meanders for a few episodes, but from episode 6 or 7 until the end, it becomes really wonderful television. Not highly intellectual or anything, but deeply emotionally satisfying.
ReplyDeleteI never really though about it, but agreed. While an episode or two would have been fine, 4 was a bit much.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Adam but with entourage you put 8.06-8.10 but there's only 8 episodes of Entourage in season 8 as confirmed by HBO
ReplyDeleteDo you know which episode of Breaking Bad are they shooting right now?
ReplyDeleteGood stuff as always Adam.
ReplyDeleteGood to see some info on the "lesser" shows. Nice
