White Collar - Treasure Theories - Poll

15 Mar 2011

Calling all White Collar fans - welcome to White Collar Tuesdays. Since we are unfortunately in hiatus, I am going to pass the time with polls, articles, recaps, and general White Collar fun until new episodes return. Today we start with 2 polls but I would love your suggestions. Please leave in the comments what you would like to see featured on White Collar Tuesdays.

Poll #1 - Who stole the treasure and left it for Neal?

There are lots of possibilities with this one. Some are plausible; some would take massive ret-conning. Here's my breakdown.

Not on my radar:

Adler - While Adler obviously had the location, resources, and manpower, he was going to kill Neal for stealing his treasure. The only way this works is if he had a split personality and nothing hinted at this.

Peter - This would take a huge rewrite for the character. I don't see Peter becoming the bad guy next season.

Elizabeth - Equally ridiculous to me. She and Peter are the moral compass of the show.

Diana/Jones - Again it wouldn't fit the characters, especially with the con vs. normality theme they pushed this season. Plus, they are very loyal to Peter.

Unlikely:

Neal - He is a con man and has been known to pull off some amazing jobs, but ever since the Peter-Kate cliffhanger, I don't believe what they are trying to make us think. He did find Adler's warehouse very easily, he may have the resources to pull off the job, and he definitely has the skill. My problem is that he would not have much time to pull the con together, he was wearing the anklet when he went to the storeroom (not smart if you know the stolen treasure is there), and the job would require a lot of manpower.

June - She has a lot of resources, knows her way around the criminal world, and is still very much a mystery to us. She also has access to Neal's apartment so she could get the picture and leave the key. However, this is too big a heist for someone out of the game for that long. If June is the mastermind, I will be pleasantly surprised. It would definitely give her a bigger place in season 3, but Neal would need a new place to live when she was caught.

Matthew Keller - He escaped jail, can plan big cons, and seems really resourceful. He also hates Neal and needs to keep a low profile. If Keller stole it, I don’t know why he would lead Neal to it. He's more likely to hide part of it and use the rest to pay off the mob before buying a fortified island. (I still hope we see him again though.)

Neal's dad - We know he was a crooked cop. SPOILER - We've heard he will appear in an episode in season 3. What better way to get back into your son's life than with a multi-billion dollar gift. Still, we know little about him. Surely, if he had this many resources and was this involved in the criminal underworld, Neal would have heard about him earlier.

Likely:

Alex - Probably the best contender is Alex. She has the criminal connections, skill, and most importantly, she's the only criminal Neal knows besides Mozzie who is likely to share with him. There is also still the very real possibility that she knew more about the warehouse's location than she let on.

Mozzie - He's clever and has a way with information gathering. If anyone could find where the warehouse was, it is Mozzie. Like Alex, he would share with Neal and he has great access to Neal's things. He's in touch with practically all the criminal players in New York and they seem to have a grudging respect for him.

Sara - She has a wide variety of resources and knows a lot of criminals. True, she did put them away but she's got connections. More importantly, she needs a story next season if she's going to be a regular. Being Neal's girlfriend doesn't seem like enough. Or maybe it's just that I might like her better if she goes rogue too.

Unknown person who will be important later - In all honesty, I expect the heist to become another music box scenario where we don't know the real culprit for a couple of years. Why then would it have to be someone we've already met? Shadowy government conspiracy? Mob family? Person from Neal's past? Half the fun would be in the clues we got prior to meeting them.

My vote - Neal's dad. Sure it's unlikely, but think of how much fun we could have with it.
What do you think? Vote, then comment below!

Poll #2 - What do you think Neal will do with it?

Thanks for voting! Don't forget to leave your comments and theories. Hiatus goes by faster when we all discuss.

  1. I'm going with Alex did it, and I really freaking hope Neal calls Peter immediately and tells him!

    ReplyDelete
  2. I'm rooting for Neal's dad, expecting unknown person, and I would bet that Neal takes some of the loot before calling Peter about the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I am going with Alex and Mozzie together. i don't think either one could have pulled it off alone.

    ReplyDelete
  4. So very true. They would need both of their skill sets. I think they would need Neal also, which is why his reaction to the treasure was a little odd to me.

By the way, welcome to SpoilerTV.

  5. Kate, She could have maneuevered in the Plane to not be killed. We also learned she was working with Adler since he was the one she called from the plane.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I still believe that Kate is alive, and is the one that stole it. And of course Neal will call Peter immediately.

I had to vote Mozzie. There were only three people other than Neal that knew about Kate's storage space; Peter, Mozzie, and Kate. Peter would be OOC for him, Kate is dead. That leaves Mozzie and Neal. Neal looked surprised as ever when he saw it, so that leaves Mozzie for me.

If, and its a big if, Alex or Sara knew about the space, I could see them doing it. I'd lean heavily towards Alex. No one saw the whole collection, so she may have pilfered enough to live comfortably the rest of her life and no one would be the wiser.

  8. Knowing Neal and the fact he and Peter are on less then friendly terms at present. He may keep the loot a secret for now but Peter will eventually find out. I'm willing to let it play out since I stink at theorising (sp?)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Neil's Dad is a good guess. The only rub is that we have to assume that a character we've never seen and only mentioned in passing has been keeping extremely close tabs on his son while going unnoticed by the federal government and other criminals. The circumstance is a bit of a stretch.

As for what Neil is going to do with the loot, if it's holocaust plunder, I don't think Neil's conscience would allow him to profit from it.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm going with Keller. The one thing keeping Neal out of jail is Peter and his belief in him. If Neal gets caught with stolen loot, back to jail he goes and he loses a friendship that obviously means something to him. Keller could easily be doing this out of vengeance, plus there is nothing to say that the entirety of the sub is in the warehouse, so Keller may well have taken half for himself.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Very good point. It's not like they had time to catalog it. Anyone could have left Neal a share while taking a significant amount for themselves.

I love the idea of Keller being in on it if only to get him back on the show. To me, Keller is to Neal as Brennen was to Michael on Burn Notice. Only big difference is that I actually want Keller back but after the first time, I just wanted Brennen to die.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I agree it's a big stretch and probably not going to happen. However, we didn't know anything about Adler until this season but he's been a part of everything since day one. That gives me hope, although it probably just means another unknown puppet master.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I don't think he's going to call Peter first thing, but he has to know that Peter will be monitoring his anklet very closely. My guess is that Peter shows up at the storage space very quickly just to check things out. I just hope that Neal tells Peter before Peter finds out on his own. That will lead to lack of trust issues I hope to avoid in early season 3.

    ReplyDelete
  14. SPOILER:

Considering Jeff Eastin said that there was a reason that message was typed out and not handwritten, I think it must be someone whose handwriting Neal would've recognized.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Do we actually know he had the anklet on? Did we see Peter put it back on him? I don't think he had it on in that scene.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Of all the regular characters, Mozzie makes the most sense to me, especially if he teamed with Alex. The two of them have the resources needed to pull off what had to be a pretty complicated heist. I cannot imagine Adler left the place unguarded. Plus, they had to have a way to get everything transported and that takes man power and equipment. It wouldn't be something someone without experience could pull off.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi! Welcome to SpoilerTV! I too believed that Kate was alive. In fact, I still hope she is if only to make life more complicated for Neal. However, I think it was at Paley where Jeff Eastin made an off-hand comment about Kate being dead. It completely crushed my original theory.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thanks for commenting. Welcome to SpoilerTV. I too am puzzled that Kate called Adler from the plane. Does that mean she knew what was going on with the music box all along? Was she really in danger from Fowler if she were that close still to Adler? The whole explanation gave me more questions than answers. Unfortunately, Jeff Eastin said Kate was dead which means none of my questions will be answered. It also is puzzling the rumor that Kate will be in an episode in season 3. Just rumor, but I'm thinking another flashback if it is true.

I just don't see Keller giving so much loot to Neal just to frame him. I'm sure he could come up with a cheaper way to do it. ;D And I think Keller's been lying low this early after his escape. He's a fugitive, I don't think he's been on Neal's heels just yet. I'm sure he'll try something later after the dust settles.

    ReplyDelete
  20. atlantisguy197615 March 2011 at 23:47

I would love for Mozzie to be involved. The phrase "You'll thank me" was my clue it was him. Add to that that he knew where Kate's storage locker was/is and it is a slam dunk in my opinion.

I can't wait until June. White Collar is quickly becoming a favorite in my house, and many others!

    ReplyDelete
  21. easternmeridian15 March 2011 at 23:47

We know Neal and Peter will hit a bit of a rough patch at the beginning of the season. And I even like the idea of them stumbling a step back.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Good point. That opens a whole lot more possibilities, including that Neal helped steal it, or at least knew what was happening. I do think they play fast and loose with the anklet though. They certainly have Neal out of it an awful lot.

    ReplyDelete
  23. easternmeridian15 March 2011 at 23:50

Would they let Neal loose without the anklet? Especially with Adler roaming around... Isn't a call to the Marshalls enough enough to get a new anklet? I have no idea about the procedures.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mine too. It ranks just below Supernatural in my list of great current TV. I'm getting my dad hooked now.

    ReplyDelete
  25. easternmeridian15 March 2011 at 23:54

He knew about Kate's storage locker because Jimmy the Snitch told him, didn't he?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Another good point. I would think that they could get an anklet pretty quickly. After all, it's court mandated that Neal have one so they wouldn't wait to order one until his got messed up. I never thought of it as a safety issue, but that's an interesting observation. They didn't know Adler wouldn't go after Neal again.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I agree. Part of me thinks that the entire reason they brought Sara on full time was so that Neil could fall for her and it would create tension (and the much loved/hated love-triangle) once Kate returns. I don't think they'll go all soap opera-like, but They like to have Neil conflicted and having to play the angles. They can't always go back to the "Peter disturst" card.... so I think th new love/ old love storyline could come into play.

    ReplyDelete
  28. atlantisguy197615 March 2011 at 23:58

Forgot about "the snitch". He knew because the FBI told him to catch Neal, right? Damn, gotta go rewatch that episode now. That flashback episode filled in a lot of blank spots. I could stand another next season, if its in the cards.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I noticed that when I recapped it. It looked like it was done with a typewriter, which made me think Mozzie. But why would Mozzie hide his part in it? It seems like they would be open about that, helping each other plan. I think that's a drawback to Alex doing it too. There's really no need for secrecy with these two.

    ReplyDelete
  30. easternmeridian16 March 2011 at 00:00

I don't think Kate returns, the writers confirmed she's dead, didn't they? I really hope it's a new leaf. I'm not a hardcore shipper but it's going to be great to see Neal giving a go at a romantic relationship.

    ReplyDelete
  31. easternmeridian16 March 2011 at 00:02

Mozzie loves secret codes and scavenger hunts, that would be an argument for him. But i don't think Mozzie's behind this. I think Neal is going to tell Mozzie though.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh definitely. I think he'll tell Mozzie before he tells Peter. He will need Mozzie to figure the mystery behind it out and possibly stash some of the loot.

    ReplyDelete
  33. My gut told me it was someone close to Neil, and the type-written note added to that feeling I had. M first instinct was Kate or Alex, but I think those are too obvious and they will use an unknown person ,,, maybe Neil's Parents or a new shadow for him to chase.

I can see Keller being a fun storyline too, but I think they want to 'expand' their universe by bringing in a new person (friend or foe) ... not bring someone back that we already know.

I do not think it was Mozzie. HE has such a penchant for elaborate hiddey-holes. He would have done more with it than place it in a warehouse without any showmanship.

I don't think it was Peter, or any of the agents.

I still do not have a bead on who exactly it was honestly, the more I think about it, the more I rule out people. So maybe it is some one new we have yet to meet....

  34. Different question - What do you guys want to see for SpoilerTV's White Collar Tuesdays? My plan is to do the standard favorite episode of the season poll next week, but I'm open to suggestions. Poll ideas? Burning topics you want to discuss? I'm hoping to pass the hiatus time as painlessly as possible and still remain excited about season 3 over these 3 months.

    ReplyDelete
  35. We could always have a favorite "Neil-ism" or "Peter-ism" poll. Things they do or say that you love no matter how many times they have done it before.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Fabulous idea! I'll definitely put it on the list. I'm thinking a favorite Mozzie quote/conspiracy theory is a must too.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I like the new romantic interests too.... as long as they do not get too heavy handed with it(I am anti-shipper). To me the only relationship that matters on the series is the Petter/ Neil relationship. White Collar just is not about romance to me, and while I don't mind it for minor arcs, I do not want Neil to have a regular girlfriend that takes up a lot of face-time.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh, good luck narrowing down the Mozzie-isms or conspiracy theories he has!

    ReplyDelete
  39. easternmeridian16 March 2011 at 00:23

Okay now... what about Neal's mom? :DD Recen rumors convince me more and more that she's alive. Makes me wonder if Neal's artistic talents are hereditary.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would love to see people learn to spell Neal's name.

    ReplyDelete
  41. For some reason I don't believe Neal had the anklet on. Where was that shown? Peter and El had Neal and Sara come for dinner the night of the sub and dry dock instances. Then the next day was the FBI search for Adler and the fire and from the beginning Peter seemed perfectly happy with leaving Neal on his own while he and the rest went hunting for Adler. If he had the anklet on Peter could have reported him to the Marshals and put out an ABP for them to bring him in. He didn't do anything to bring Neal into the FBI office and Neal was wandering all over the place while walking home from the dock.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm not really interested in finding out about the parents any time soon. This show is getting a bit crowded as it is and the real fun is between Neal and Peter and how they handle this unorthodox partnership.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Poll #1. Mozzie, I'm thinking. (probably wrong)
Poll #2. Well, now there's a lovely question. Here's my answer - The Nazi plunder in that warehouse that Neal is so cheerily grinning about was amassed as a result of one of the worst crimes against humanity this planet has ever seen. The Nazi's didn't exactly knock on the doors of the museums, galleries, and Jewish homes and politely ask to buy the items. They took & killed for it. My sincere hope is that Neal will remember his history, remember the amount of blood spilled for this plunder in the name of one man's hatred & greed and call Peter immediately and tell him he received a card & a key and reiterate that he has nothing to do with this heist.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm going with Sara... thats what came to right away. That Sara had some how figured out what was going on and while Adler wasn't around got in and out with everything (not really sure about this part but as said above that Sara does have her resources). A reason for the heist and note is some sort of test for Neal to see if he has really become respectable as she was continually trying to discover during the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Eastin said that there's a reason the notecard left for Neal was typed, not written, which leads me to believe it's someone whose handwriting Neal would recognize. Alex did write down her phone number for him, though I don't know if that's enough to give her away. Would he recognize his father's handwriting?

    ReplyDelete
  46. When it happened I thought of Alex.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think he didn't have it on. As Jeff Eastin said, this point will be adressed in the season premiere. I think one of the step-backs will be that from now on, Peter will keep Neal strictly on the leash again whereas during S2, he was giving him a lot of leevay.

    ReplyDelete
  48. easternmeridian16 March 2011 at 09:50

They don't always show his anklet or the moment when they put it back on his leg after some undercover operation, most of the time its implicit. It is possible that they didn't this time in the whirlwind of everything that happened but it would be a serious neglect on the part of FBI. Neal is bound to wear the anklet, regardless of personal sentiments. And with Adler on the loose, I'd think they would put the anklet on also as a safety measure.
And I believe Peter wouldn't let Neal just walk off without the anklet tracing his itinerary, espacially as he strongly suspected Neal of stealing billions of dollars worth of art.

    ReplyDelete
  49. easternmeridian16 March 2011 at 10:02

I don't think Neal will call Peter right away to tell him about the treasure. Their relationship has suffered a bit of a setback. I remember reading somewhere that they'll still be at odds at the beginning of the season and Elizabeth will be sort of mediating between them.
Also, if Neal knows/suspects the person stealing the art from Adler to be either Alex or Mozzie, he'd want to protect them. Finally, even after inviting the FBI to warehouse and explaining what had happened, he'd still be a hell of suspect material. HIS paintings were placed instead of the treasure. HE received a card with its current whereabouts, HE received the treasure. He's up to his necktie in that shady situation. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  50. My personal fave was the Hitler clones!

    ReplyDelete
  51. "up to his necktie" - love it! I'm happy to hear that Elizabeth is mediating. That women is amazing at personal relations. She'll have Neal and Peter back on track in no time.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I'm actually good if it is Sara. It will make me like her character a bit more, especially is she's going rogue too. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think it is reasonable to assume that Neal would know Alex's handwriting simply because they have worked together many times before. He definitely knows Mozzie, June, Peter, and Elizabeth's handwriting. In fact, as a forger by trade, my guess is that he could fake Diana and Jones' as well. Good question about his dad though. Surely he had something his dad wrote before he disappeared. Urgh! So many questions, so many possibilities, and so much time before the June premiere.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I think Kate is still alive and she pulled it off with Mozzie's help. Its the craziest theory I guess. :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. whitecollar474226 March 2011 at 21:30

I would absolutely LOVE if Kate wasn't dead, and I know it's very unlikely, but what if it was a con all along? I mean, it would be terrible because of all the trust and the Peter-Neal bonding, but think about this:

Neal, Kate and Adler could had planned the whole thing years ago.
Adler escaped with millions and stole Neal's and Kate's money so that the FBI would think that even though they worked for him, they weren't in contact with him because of wat happened.

Kate and Neal could already know about the U-boat and all that because of Alex. The three of them were going to steal the music box in Coppenhagen but Kate didn't like the idea because it was supposed to be Adler, Neal and her only.

Once Neal got caught and had to cooperate with the FBI, the only way for them to get the box was by earning the FBI's trust, because Neal has an anklet and it would have been impossible for him to escape and steal the box while being followed by the FBI.

Because of this, they plan Kate's kidnap for the FBI to feel bad for Neal. Once they find out Kate's kidnapper wants the music box, the FBI helps Neal to get it. Now Neal is in possesion of the music box and the FBI actually helped him getting it.

Now that he has the music box, they have to figure out a way to keep it in order to find the U-boat. The only way is by faking Kate's death: That's why when agent Burke appeared she told Adler agent Burke was there, for him to blow up the plane and pretend Kate's death.

Now that Kate is 'dead', the FBI helps Neal to find the U-boat. They find it and open it etc. That night, Adler changes the location of the treasure because it's obvious the FBI is going to look for it in the morning. Neal and Adler have all night to do it, so it's possible.

They replace the treasure with Neal's paintings so that when it all blows up, the FBI would find the remains of paintings and would think it was the treasure.

The next morning, the FBI goes looking for the treasure and Neal and Adler meet in the storage where they had put Neal's paintings. I think the plan was for them to blow up the whole thing when Adler was gone and the FBI was closer, but someone blew it up before. I think that was Kate.

That's why Adler looks so surprised and wants to kill Neal, and he gets killed. I think Neal looked pretty shocked that Adler was going to kill him, because they had planned the whole thing together.

That night, Neal receives the note with the key, which I think was in Adler's possession and Kate stole it.

I know it's all very unlikely but it was so much fun thinking about it! The only mistake I found was that when Adler and Neal were alone, Neal asked him why did he kill Kate, so maybe Kate's death was real but somehow she managed to escape and did all this to Adler in revenge for trying to kill her.

I hope you like my theory of what happened!

    ReplyDelete
  56.  Neal's dad, by a huge longshot....

Think Burn Notice. Neal's dad is a crooked cop, connections with Keller and high level law enforcement. Neal's dad would have every reason to brag and lure his son into a trap, Alex isn't the sharing type...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Kate isn't bad and Neal and Kate had TRUE love!!!

Sara is a FAKE Kate! Sara is nothing like the real Katherine. Kate deliberately called Fowler's phone and Adler to let them know that Peter Burke had followed the airplane. She was nervous, not working for anybody!

If Katherine had not called Adler (and Keller etc) then they would have killed her due to the Feds being onto them. That is the obvious truth. Kate may be clumsy at times but she's still super smart. She knew all about it!

Kate didn't have a choice and hoped Fowler would help them escape. She wanted the plane to blow up over the pacific so Adler would NEVER find them! Kate and Neal had true love. If/when Kate returns, she will undress Sara's scrawny ass on national television for pretending to be Kate when she is NOT as compassionate as Kate!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Dahne: It is NOT a stretch because what everyone missed is Neal's dad is law enforcement.

Neal's dad is high up in the chain of command for law enforcement, the writers confirmed he is a crooked dirty cop long ago. Since Neal's dad is LE, none of the FBI would even know he exists, since he basically sets up things like OPR and RUNS the FBI!!!

Kate definitely knows this!!! Neal is the only fool who forgot, that his own father is nearly at the top of law enforcement. Someone who's a crooked police government freak would be all the world would need to explain Kate's fear of cops.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Yo boys!!!   I'm gonna tell you the truth.

The main man who did all this bullsht ,,, aka man with the plan, is Neal's daddy.

Neal's daddy is a crooked cop and top of the chain o' command in law enforcement. Kate knows Neal's dad well. How else do you do you think she got so sick of cops?

Quiz qeuustion....Who has the connections to manage Keller and Adler in a long-con and destroy Agent Fowler's life?

Neal's good old daddy. The main man of the hour. The one who wants the Music Box, and Peter Burke, Kate Moreau, Mozzie and Sara Ellis all killed.

Kate is Neal's woman and she is not dead ladies and gents....Not by a long shot! Kate would never let her boy go dfown for this. She called them, Keller/Adler on the plane because Neal's dad was watching and they were going to shoot her. Kate she tells him, "Burke showed up. Just let us get the hell out of here." She didn't have no choice but to tell 'em, the audience knows it.

Then airplane go BOOM!!! Kate is too smart to let herself die just like that. She escaped the burning fire somehow, with barely an inch of her life left and scrambled out of there. Thanks to agent Rourke of OPR she was actually alive. Her leg may have gotten blown off but they never identified her body.

Kate  is just too smart, she isn't about to die and allow her man to be taken away by a Kate wannabe! No more Kate copycats! Kate is a real woman rather than a little girl like Sara! Sara is like Kate's younger sister. No more games good friday, it time for da truth!!

Kate fled underground to research everything on Operation Mentor and they now officially declared her dead. Kate will confront Sara sometime in the future, tell her to get the hell out of here before she gets killed tby the mafia; the lady Kate will then scoop up Neal and they'll fly off to Elizabeth's to get to know each other.

Kate will never trust Burke, she don't trust cops. Neal's dear old daddy is the most crooked cop to ever live that is confirmed. Elizabeth and Kate will become best friends and try to figure out the plan, before they try to kill Sara and Kate ends up saving Sara's life. She's a smart cookie, Neal's real girl won't die that easy!  She's aad an adult now and won't let anything happen to Neal no debate about it...

    ReplyDelete
  60.  Yo for the final time people, Kate ain't dead! Neal's woman ain't dead no way in hell brotha, she is far too smart for dat type of shhhhhhhhhhhhhhht....

Kate won't go and die and allow some Kate wanna-be copycat named Sara to take over!
    Hell, no...

Kate is a real woman, she protects her man. True she may 've nearly completely died after being barbecued in part of the airplane, but she escaped guaranteed....with half her leg left!

Kate is going under another name and officially declared dead while she digs up all the nasty dirt on Operation Mentor. She knows what his game is, Neal doesn't!

Ya'll see brotha, Neal's daddy is in charge of that Operation Mentor not Fowler. Neal's dad is probably Sir, the most crooked ass cop that ever lived. Fowler been tugged around by Neal's dad and Adler for years. Kate knew it from the beginning, hence her hatred of cops....

Kate is going to confront Sara, tell her to get the hell out of dodge if she wants to live because the Mafia wants to murder her. This is for real gents!

Keller and Neal's dad are going to try putting a bullet in the back of Sara now, Kate will scoop up Neal and run to Elizabeth's to figure out what to do. Elle and Kate will become great friends but she won't trust Burke, 'cause Burke is a cop! Like Neal's daddy so damnit, Elle, Neal & Kate will hide the truth from Burke. They'll move into the loft.

Kate will end up saving Sara's life from the mafia! That right dawgs. There never been this many people in danger, who knows these woods best boys....Neal's girl Kate yeah. He'll forget all about Sara after a while, since Kate 'n Neal will bring down OPR and they'll be the happiest couple since In Plane Sight.

  61. Just wondering where you got that Neal's dad was high up on the power chain. I assumed he was a regular police officer because Neal called him a dirty cop.

  62.  @dahne A lot of people are assuming he was not any normal cop because of script leaks last season. Neal's dad is way up high. If Neal's dad is alive which I predict, he's probably running the scam.                                  There is no way that Fowler or Andrews framed Neal so easily or sent out those Neal copycats including the forgeries. Framing Peter repeatedly and nearly getting him fired, required a big guy in LE. That and chartering an airplane to leave with two people using brand new fake identities could only be done by someone high-up in law enforcement. Neal's crooked father and Keller are the top bad guys, bank on that.

  63.  Your theory is interesting. But a lot of people assume it was Keller and Adler who blew up the plane. What if it was Neal's dad and Keller who blew up the plane however? Neal's dad is high up in law enforcement. In order for Kate to get all the goods on Operation Mentor, she would have to die and allow an OPR agent to pull her skin out of the fire at the last second. She probably expected to die but actually survived somehow and tracked down Mentor. Neal's dad therefore thinks Kate is dead, Neal thinks she's dead, this is the most likely scenario. When it was discovered what Adler was up to, Kate delivered some of the contents to Neal to tip him off to what his father is actually doing. Given Neal's dad is the most crooked cop that ever lived, Kate greatly fears for Neal's life and knows her life is in danger. So she will sweep up and reveal things to Neal, saying that no one else can know except Elizabeth & Neal. So they're the only ones who know Kate is alive due to that psychopath. Then Kate & Neal find a way to the U-Boat, move into their loft and are happy to not deal with this. Neal acts like everything is normal, tells nobody and Kate figures out a plan to track down Keller before he kills again.

  64. Yo brotha, Neal's dad is "Sir" I guarantee all y'all....

"Sir" is who Fowler was on the phone with in season 1 finale. He called him "Sir", that wasn't Adler...Adler was the other foo' because a special forces operative like Julian Larsen wouldn't work for Adler...

Julian was working for "Sir", Neal's real father. He's the guy who gave them the idea to kill both Kate and Alex, once they messed with the music box.

Yo! You better believe Neal's dad is the evil cop official who wants the coordinates to that underground treasure room...

Ain't nobody more crooked. He and Keller would have killed Adler off, if Adler didn't promise to get them the codes. Ain't the tooth fairy. Mozzie was good as dead too, because Neal's dad wanted his son to never be happy again and enjoyed crashing his life!

  65. I like the idea of Neal's dad pulling strings. It would also explain why Peter didn't know much about Neal's childhood and pre-NYC life. So are you thinking that Neal's dad sent him to the treasure?

  66. above  above Hmm...Neal's father definitely seems like a real bad guy. Maybe the type who beats you as you grow up, type of deal. Guess that would explain the radar room wouldn't it, james bond style?

Probably their exact plan, I wouldn't be surprised. In Burn Notice fashion, Neal's pops allows Neal to lead him right to the treasure room, the submarine and vaults...

Then kill someone else off, maybe Alex, while Neal watches the show....Sure hope at the very end he gets him especially if they reveal Kate survives and Mentors is his dad's operation.

  67. Yo, everyone....

Da scoop is, Fowler's cell phone was re-directed to make it look like Kate she was squealing directly to Fowler...

Ain't nobody who can do all that 'cept for Neal's bad ol' man. He had him in his sights, ever since Neal started working for Pete!

What about all those blackmail tapes that Adler got in his hands, y'all know it was Neal's dad....Peter would've had nothing to do with it and Adler isn't no friend to cops...

'Cept for Neal's dad who's been after da Catherine treasure since before Neal ran away.....that why Kate acted to scared..then later acted so confused & crazy...she had the first treasure

Neal's daddy is watching this scene like a sadistic mofo!
This thing gonna end just like Lost tv series ends....

That makes a lot of sense and you are so right because I thought Adler was behind everything the whole time but it is more likely that he's just caught in the middle because of the treasure but didn't had anything to do with Kate's death. The only part I didn't quite understand is who you think stole the treasure? Kate and Neal had already planned it and Neal just acted surprised or was it Neal's father? I really wouldn't get if Neal's father was such a horrible man and tried to kill Kate and everything why would he give the treasure to Neal? Thanks for the reply!!

I hadn't thought of that.. Maybe it's a trap made by Neal's father or even by the FBI to test Neal's fidelity, even though that's a huge looooong shot

  70. Things to keep in mind: Eastin has confirmed that Kate is dead. And he said specifically that there was a reason that the note was typed.
What I kind of don't get is why whoever did it would blow up Neal's art/warehouse collection. Is it someone that's setting Neal up, so Peter would suspect him?
I feel like we're all on the right track here suspecting Neal's dad- they dropped several subtle hints and references to him in the latter half of last season, and I can't imagine that was for nothing. I don't know where this information about Neal's dad being "high up" as a cop or whatever is coming from, but that would certainly be interesting...only one more day until the premiere!!!

  71. my thoughts are either mozzie, kate or neals mystery father: neal> seams to sursprised about the treasure and if he did do it why would he need a note with an adress and say"i hope you like" or somthing like that, alex always leaves an oragomy thing where ever she is near neal, if kate is alive which i think she is because white collar always has little secret meanings and makes u think some thing happend when it didnt, because kate learned from neal so she is smart enough to get out plus adler never said she was dead, but that she wasnt here
