Ever since Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston speculated in an interview in December that AMC's new hitshow The Walking Dead might return to the screen in July, sooner than everybody expected, there have been a lot of rumours floating around.
Now it seems like AMC finally put an end to the hopes for an early return of the zombie show. Yesterday AMC launched a new website where fans can win an ipad and a The Walking Dead season 1 blu-ray set. The page also mentions briefly that the new season will start in fall 2011. So it seems likely that AMC will stick to the original plan and start airing season 2 on Halloween.

Well, I've always been quite sceptical of these rumours because they'd had to be back in the writing room really early after the finale. Plus there haven't been any news on that for quite some time now.
ReplyDeleteI can live with it, I never really hoped for an early return, Halloween is the perfect date for a season premiere and at least we get 13 episodes this season.
"Fall 2011" might still mean early September. With 13 episodes, they can't have a premiere on halloween without doing a couple of break during the holidays.
ReplyDeleteFall 2011 is still very nebulous, it could also mean September, but I doubt it. I just think Halloween is a great date for the season premiere, AMC has its fear fest going on and if they's be coming back early in September shooting would have to start around now (compared to other AMC shows).
ReplyDeleteI'm still excited that it'll be back soon!
ReplyDeleteoh come on! so far away, i hope here in Egypt they do the same like season 1 and bring it one week after it aired in the States, that was pretty cool.
