ReplyDeleteThe Biggest Loser ended on a respectable 4.68m (18.9%) in the 9pm hour for ITV1 (+1: 214k), beating BBC One's Crimewatch which logged only 3.43m (13.8%).
Sitcom Mrs Brown's Boys, starring Brendan O'Carroll, premiered after the BBC News At Ten with a healthy, slot-winning 2.63m (18.2%), having previously been aired on Irish channel RTÉ to ratings success.
Over on BBC Two, University Challenge interested 2.91m (11.2%) at 8pm, Raymond Blanc's Kitchen Secrets followed with 2.01m (7.9%), and When Teenage Meets Old Age picked up 1.53m (6.2%).
BBC One's Panorama mustered 2.77m (10.9%) for 'Classroom Warriors', predictably thrashed by the second in a double bill of Coronation Street on ITV1.
Meanwhile, The Lakes fetched 3.63m (14%) at 8pm (+1: 113k), easily beaten by EastEnders on BBC one.
Channel 4's Dispatches gripped 1.18m (4.6%) for 'Secret NHS Diaries' in the 8pm hour (+1: 113k), then One Born Every Minute averaged 2.26m (9.1%) from 9pm (+1: 360k).
Elsewhere, The Gadget Show took 1.19m (4.6%) for Channel 5 at 8pm, after which 1.81m (7.3%) watched Royal Navy Caribbean Patrol.
Overall, ITV1 owned primetime with 24.3% (+1: 0.5%), beating BBC One which had 19.6%. BBC Two was next with 6.8%, followed closely by Channel 4 with 5.7% (+1: 0.9%), and Channel 5 with 4.7%.
