Sounds amazing!!! I can't wait I don't think any of out major four players will die Especially if theyre bringing it back for a 7th season But then again, you never know with this show Which is why I love it, it's always ready to take risks
Any ideas on what he's talking about when he writes Sera's script? Did she write Mommy Dearest or another episode, or do you think he's talking about the season as a whole?
According to BuddyTV, the two hour season finale is called The Haunter of the Dark 1&2 - it'll air on one night - and it's based on the title of one of HP Lovecraft's stories.
That means only one thing....we're going to be Kripked again. :-) It's time to get mentally ready for another summer of endless angst and questions and of course fandom explosion. Ever since he crashed Metallicar in season 1, I've been on the edge of my seat for Supernatural's season finale. Looks like this year will be no different.
He wrote the "Pilot", "Wendigo", "Bloody Mary"(or, more or less created the story but didn't exactly write it), "Home", "Shadow", "Devil's Trap", "In My Time Of Dying", "All Hell Breaks Loose, Part II", "The Magnificent Seven", "No Rest For The Wicked", "Lazarus Rising", "It's The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester", "Heaven and Hell", "Lucifer Rising", "Sympathy For The Devil", created the idea, but didn't write, "The Real Ghostbusters" and "Swan Song".
Yeah i know, definately feels right :) I was just rewatching their commentary on AHBLpt1 last weekend ! Shall be awesome to have the finale ep to air right after the penultimate, definately worth the 2 week wait in between :)
You're confusing 'teleplay by' and 'story by'. He wrote the episodes (teleplay by) but the idea itself (story by) come from somebody else. 'Teleplay' means Kripke adapted the original story of that person and turned it into a TV episode. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teleplay
Are you referring to BL and TRG? If so, then, I wouldn't know what he did for the episodes, but I know that those episodes is what he "created the story" for, but whichever is the most accurate, then cool. The others, however, he DID write those episodes.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE you Jim, but now MY HOPES ARE HIGH! ... not went so well the other times my hopes were tooo high... wait... season premier, every eps after that, French Mist... What Am I saying lOVED it :DDD
DONT! I dont wanna hear it I CANT HEAR IT I CANT!!! Misha HAS TO COME BACK! (cas... i know... )
AW!
but hum yeah lol. I dont think he sign for s7 but that doesnt worries me I think they realized they made a mistake by making him a regular again in s6 i mean he is PAID for every episode and he was in 1-2 eps a lot and 5 mins i like 5-6 LOL waist of money AND I think that other from J2 they will wait until they get a season 7 go before signin' any one. LET ME IN Y DENIAL! MY MASTER IS SAFE
Really? That does open a lot of speculation. I don't think they will get rid of Cas completely though. The minions would riot and another Apocalypse would begin.
So let me see...Meg ties up the Winchesters, Bobby, and Castiel. She makes out with each of them while making crude bondage jokes. Crowley returns in a surprise post-death appearance and fire bombs all of them as pay back. End season.
Season 7 opens with Death eating a taco and then wearily getting up. He says something snarky but aggravated to Tess about always having to save the fool Winchester boys, needing them to detective Mother, and imbalance in the natural order of things. With a deep sigh, he snaps his fingers and poof, everyone's alive and back at Bobby's. Meg smirks at Castiel before getting out of Dodge. Castiel says something odd but funny before murmuring about heaven and checking out. The Winchesters, Bobby, and all the fans look at each other and say, "WTH?"
Kripke has written some truly awesome finales... Devils Trap, No Rest for the Wicked, AHBL part 2....even Lucifer Rising was excellent. So basically, they were all awesome, except for Swan Song, but that was a one-off thing, right and primarily due to the crapocalypse anyways.
I guess this is going to be one of those times where I chuck my pillow at the tv. I feel sorry for my friends who are going to have to deal with me during the summer
(chuckles) both at your comment and your name. Thanks for de-lurking long enough to leave a comment. I'll have a stack of pillows at the ready too. Some to throw, some to hide behind, and maybe even one to cry into...but I hope not. :-) Bobby had better remain safe!
I agree. I thought I was the only one who wasn't a superfan of Swan Song. I think it's because most of the time the penultimate episode, which Sera writes, is the emo/heavy drama one, leaving Kripke to write the finale as action overload. I like the action-oriented ones much better. In season 5, they reversed it and the penultimate was action-focused, while Swan Song was definitely light on action but heavy on emo. I think it was because they were closing out a 5-year arc. Plus, agreeing with you again, the entire Apocalypse was lame and underwhelming.
I'm hoping that they revert to form again. Let everyone be angsty in the first hour and let's get down to business in the second hour. Or, surprise me, and let's leave the angst out all together as they track down the Mother and throw whatever twist they have for us this time. It's going to be eye-popping, whatever it is.
ASLKJDFHASDOIFHADSF I HAVE SO MANY POSSIBLE ENDINGS IN MY HEAD BUT RIGHT NOW I'M LIKE "IT'S NOTHING OF THAT". I'm really up for a big surprise. Maybe Sam's wall breaks? Actually, no, I don't want to guess. I want to scream from excitement and surprise when I watch it! I have a feeling it's gonna be epic!
I don't think we need to worry about Misha just because he hasn't signed yet...If I remember correctly(and I do,cause I was going crazy at the time),he signed up for season 6 after season 5 was over..If they wanted to get rid of Cas they would have done it in the season 4 finale. He's a big part of the show now and they know that the majority of fans would be furious(unable to find a stronger emotion).. If one of the four main characters is meant to die,it's probably gonna happen close the series finale... At least, let's hope so!
DEVASTATED! That's how I would be lOL! and I think season 5 would have been a good time to get rid of him too. closing the angel stuff for ever, now its too late he stayed cant take it back :P I want s5 castiel back though, he is too poowerful now its too easy.
I hope so too, I do fear for Bobby a lot cause that would be such a great writing move and a horrible one at the same time lol
I think if at one point in the ep bobby is in "danger" (creepy music with him lookin scared = in danger) I'll just assume the worst and starts crying!
And for Cas I dont even think they would care to warn us with music or any clue so I'll just be nervous and on the edge of breakin down every time he is seen LOL!
Oh dear... I am equal parts terrified and ecstatic to see the finale! Jim sure knows how to write those tweets. He gives us a taste, enough to keep us guessing and excited. Can't wait to see what he's talking about!
No, I'm referring to 'The Real Ghostbusters' and 'Swan Song' or 'Sympathy for the Devil', to whatever your 'created the idea, but didn't write' refers to. You're right about 'Bloody Mary', the story came from Kripke but the episode was written (teleplay) by Ron Milbauer & Terri Hughes Burton.
Dear Kripke write Lisa Braeden off don't kill her just give the woman some dignity and let her make a decision of her own you can't have her sitting around until she's all wrinkley and grey waiting for Dean to finally make his freaking mind up. Thank you
So far something is still missing in Season 6, which I really can't pinpoint. Maybe Kripke writing the script for the season finale is a good idea.
Now who will die this time? Sam because his wall will break? Dean because he does what he always does: trying to save Sammy? Cass because Rafael couldn't win the war in Heaven by any other means? Bobby because none on the show is save?
Or will this be the season finale where none dies, but some return from the dead?
Either way, I hope it's gone be epic. Season 6 had more so-so episodes for me, so at least the finale should be....epic. And dark. :)
I agree with you, though. Like Dean said, "what's dead should stay dead..." MINUS the brothers (of course LOL)––otherwise, we wouldn't really have much of a show, would we?
Oh my goodness, Kripke *reverence him* is back!!! I love this man for making my favorite tv show. After reading the comments I got worried, PLEASE DON'T KILL CASS!!!
No....look up SFTD and SS, they are written by Kripke. SS is also the creation of that one Star Wars writer(blank on his name right now, but you can look it up if you don't believe me), but SS was still mostly written(teleplay and story) by Kripke, as the Star Wars writer was just onboard to help with the storyline of the episode WITH Kripke.
I don't need to look them up, I know both episodes were written by Kripke. That's what I mean, you wrote 'created the idea, but didn't write' and then listed Swan Song and The Real Ghostbusters. So what did you mean?
I remember thinking "meh" at the 4th finale too. But I recently rewatched season 4 and I realized there was a little more going for it when I wasn't waiting weeks in between for the episodes...I enjoyed it quite a bit more than the first time.
He'll be back. Misha spoke at a Con recently about where he'd want his character to go if there's a Season 7, so that tells me that he wants to come back or maybe that he's signed a contract though I dunno for sure which one.
doesnt really means any thing. It's not like he could say "Well I'll be dead so..." and I dont think he even new at that point. They start shoooting this week the finale and usualy they get the script like 1 week before or less.
BUT lets stay positive. even if im really realy not. CAUSE omg that 20th episode is freekin me out.. we are getting to know more cas soooo... its gonna be so cruel to kill him after and totaly kripke's style ARGH ANY WAY NOT THINKING ABOUT IT! NOT

This sounds vaguely terrifying. I trust Jim's judgment, too!
ReplyDeleteDidn't see what coming!?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of freaking out...Please let Sam,Dean,Cas and Bobby survive the season! Please!
Everyone is so scared of someone we love dying when Kripke is writting an episode.vxD He is the king of angst
ReplyDeletewait..Kripke is writing the finalé? I thought he was killed by the Angel Hitman :D
ReplyDeleteI thought he was Chuck. Maybe we'll see Chuck and his computer return?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!!! I missed saying 'Why Kripke? Why? Lol
ReplyDeleteI know he's the show's creator, but what other episodes has he written?
ReplyDeleteSo true. Even the Impala isn't safe and it's been a while since he tried to kill it in Devil's Trap? Lol Don't Kill The Impala Kripke!!! ;D
ReplyDeleteI am now fearing for the Impala's fate..... Let's just hope Dean stays alive so he can fix her up again. With Kripke, no one is safe!
ReplyDeleteSounds amazing!!! I can't wait
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of out major four players will die
Especially if theyre bringing it back for a 7th season
But then again, you never know with this show
Which is why I love it, it's always ready to take risks
Oh! YAY!
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean..How many times do you think we'll say it during the season finale??
OMG. What does that mean??!?!!
ReplyDeleteJim is so good at these ominous tweets. I am never sure what he means...
ReplyDeleteIf Kripke is writing a season finale it's always bad news for somebody. Lol
ReplyDeleteThe other one. ;D Maybe they asked Walternate for help.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, I hope a lot. lol
ReplyDeleteJust the first and last episode of every season and a few others. ;D
ReplyDeleteCrying and cursing fans. Lol
ReplyDeleteMakes one kind of nervous...and excited...and nervous.
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeleteOh...Let me go stock up on comfort foods...
ReplyDeleteAny ideas on what he's talking about when he writes Sera's script? Did she write Mommy Dearest or another episode, or do you think he's talking about the season as a whole?
ReplyDeleteThe Penultimate script is the one right before the finale. So, Jim's talking about 6x21 by Sera and 6x22 by Eric.
ReplyDeletethanks, that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteIt's a tradition. Sera Gamble has written every penultimate script and Kripke has written every finale script. Feels right . . .
ReplyDeleteIn season1 he wrote the first 2 episodes, Bloody Mary, Home, Shadow, finales and premieres of every season except season 6 premiere.
ReplyDeleteoh please just let dean/sam/cas stay alive/not possessed/not trapped in some hell.god i hope we get a 7th season i am getting scared.
ReplyDeleteThe power of the Kripke, his name alone scares fans! Muhahaha!
ReplyDeleteYou can find a list with all the episodes here: http://www.supernaturalwiki.com/index.php?title=Eric_Kripke
ReplyDeleteKripke isn't just the show creator, he was also the showrunner for five years and he directed two episodes.

ReplyDeletethe most brilliant comment made :D
ReplyDeleteWTKRIPKE! Someone's (or something's) gonna die. I can feel it in my bones! Another summer of endless angst!
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE you Jim, but now MY HOPES ARE HIGH! ... not went so well the other times my hopes were tooo high... wait... season premier, every eps after that, French Mist... What Am I saying lOVED it :DDD
ReplyDelete:DDDD it's the only one Eric wrote right?
WE CANT THINK LIKE THAT .... we.... we.. cant.... *starts crying*
ReplyDeleteNay, the Impala is safe, Kripke wanted it in from the starts. she is good. might need some dean time for fixing but she'll survive
ReplyDeleteGood times :P He knows we need something to get through summer hellatus
ReplyDeleteBOBBY TOO! :(
ReplyDeleteIn the words of my esteemed friend Pigeon666:
ReplyDeleteThey aaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllll die!
But only until the beginning of S7.
Then they aaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllll come back to life.
Yaaaaaay Kripke!
Oh and: 'Penultimate? Nobody says 'penultimate'.
ReplyDeleteExcept Jim Beaver .
yeah, I am sure she will be ;) It's more Cas I am worried about now, I mean, Misha didn't sign for S7? Not sure if I heard that correct though
ReplyDeleteActually, it's KRIPKE KILLS THEM AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
ReplyDelete*bows*
Sorry.
ReplyDeleteNext time I quote you I'll have to be more accurate. :P
DONT! I dont wanna hear it I CANT HEAR IT I CANT!!! Misha HAS TO COME BACK! (cas... i know... )

LET ME IN Y DENIAL! MY MASTER IS SAFE
You'd better...OR ELSE. :P
ReplyDeleteNo Chanelle dont cry! Dont worry, I dont think they are going to end another season with one of them dying, that would just be poor writing :))
ReplyDeleteReally? That does open a lot of speculation. I don't think they will get rid of Cas completely though. The minions would riot and another Apocalypse would begin.
ReplyDeletemm, true, I hadn't thought of Misha returning as a guest star, as in season 4. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. *already impatient*
ReplyDeleteHe usually only writes the first and last scripts anyways.
ReplyDeleteHere's looking for another AHBL!
Sam or dean would be poor but we arnt safe from Dead!bobby or Dead!cas :((
ReplyDeleteSo let me see...Meg ties up the Winchesters, Bobby, and Castiel. She makes out with each of them while making crude bondage jokes. Crowley returns in a surprise post-death appearance and fire bombs all of them as pay back. End season.

yeah but he used to be showrunner, you got more things to do
ReplyDeleteASLKJDFHASDOIFHADSF I HAVE SO MANY POSSIBLE ENDINGS IN MY HEAD BUT RIGHT NOW I'M LIKE "IT'S NOTHING OF THAT". I'm really up for a big surprise. Maybe Sam's wall breaks? my bet's are on guest star. He appeared more in season 4 than in season 6 after all LOL
ReplyDelete...I like to say penultimate... :/
ReplyDeleteGeez, you don't have any faith in this show anymore suddenly?
ReplyDeleteSwan Song FTW.
ReplyDeleteI think if at one point in the ep bobby is in "danger" (creepy music with him lookin scared = in danger) I'll just assume the worst and starts crying!

yeah... gonna GREAT -_-
LOL!!!! I'm dying.
ReplyDeleteWow, if I keep that in mind I think ANY thing else will make an AWESOME finale hahaa, I have to save this
Hell YEAH
ReplyDeleteNah. Just poking fun at the fact that someone always seems to die and then they are suddenly back next time. It's getting old.
ReplyDeleteyeah HELL!
ReplyDelete...wait. lol
OMG a screenshot from the upcoming "The Haunter of the Dark!"

AHAHHA LOL! wow... it took me an embarassing LONG time to understand what was going on.
ReplyDeleteYou just made my day. :)
ReplyDeleteI say penultimate too! :)
ReplyDeletesomebody gona be either trap or dead.lol
ReplyDeleteIts going to be one hell of a cliff hanger probly make us stress like the end of season 3
Oh dear... I am equal parts terrified and ecstatic to see the finale! Jim sure knows how to write those tweets. He gives us a taste, enough to keep us guessing and excited. Can't wait to see what he's talking about!
ReplyDeleteWhat's if it's not just the season finale but the series finale? ;D Then their deaths would be permanent. Muhahaha!
ReplyDeleteNo, I'm referring to 'The Real Ghostbusters' and 'Swan Song' or 'Sympathy for the Devil', to whatever your 'created the idea, but didn't write' refers to. You're right about 'Bloody Mary', the story came from Kripke but the episode was written (teleplay) by Ron Milbauer & Terri Hughes Burton.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Looks scarier than Mother. Lol
ReplyDeleteWell, for me 'Swan Song' was his best finale and 'Lucifer Rising' was just OK.
ReplyDeleteHell the YEAH too. Lol
ReplyDeleteI think your bones might be right! ;D
ReplyDeleteDear Kripke
