The show seems entertaining from the review but it worries me that Ringer strikes me as being much more at home on a network like FX or AMC. It seems very different from anything CBS broadcasts right now.
I think this show would have a much better shot at success if it was sold to another network, which I hope will happen if CBS passes on the pilot.
Yeah.. the CBS audience doesn't usually latch onto anything but cookie-cutter procedurals and sitcoms. Which is probably why CBS is the only main network with no shows I follow right now.
This and Person of Interest sound promising so I'll definitely check them out. But I share your sentiments that CBS isn't necessarily the right place for the material. Shows that don't easily fit into a generic genre don't usually last past year one on CBS.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Sounds great! I'm realy excited to see how it turns out!
