Cancelled Shows Pilot ShowsThanks to tvmonkey for the heads up.
Wilmer Valderrama will (possibly) return to network TV in NBC's drama pilot "REM."
Valderrama is one of five actors who have been cast in the pilot, which stars Jason Isaacs ("Brotherhood," "Harry Potter") and was created by Kyle Killen of "Lone Star." The others, Deadline reports, are Steve Harris ("Friday Night Lights," "The Practice"), Laura Allen ("Terriers"), B.D. Wong ("Law & Order: SVU") and Dylan Minnette ("Saving Grace").

Another series I was looking forward to has been lowered a peg or five by casting one of the few actors I cannot stand... UGH!
ReplyDeleteWell, I can hope just because he is cast in the pilot doesn't mean his role won't be recast by production time... or that they will tire of him as quickly as I do and do a quick rewrite to kill him in some unusually painful way. Then invite Jennifer Love Hewitt, Mila Kunis, Majandra Delfino, Lindsay Lohan, Ashley Simpson, Avril Lavigne and Mandy Moore to roast Marshmallows over his funeral pyre. MMMM S'mores!
I'm with you. This was easily one of my most looked-forward-to new shows, but I'm definitely not a Wilmer fan. Hopefully his character won't be very long-lived unless his acting ability and mannerisms have really changed since last I saw him.
