  1. This 1.5 is even better considering Kitchen Nightmares has the same numbers. It was bothering me that it got better numbers for weeks...

  2. Another pleasant surprise this week for Fringe.

  3. Yeah, same here. At first it even built on the Kitchen Nightmares lead-in but then it just dropped :/

  4. I noticed from the TVbytheNumbers article that in the second half hour, Fringe gained .1 mil viewers, but dropped a tenth to 1.4 in the ratings. Weird. Why? I'm confuuuuuuuused...

    900pm FOX FRINGE 1.5 5 3.853
    930pm FOX FRINGE 1.4 5 3.912

  6. Yay Fringe :D. I really hope we keep up numbers like this (or even higher). Does FOX benefit directly from DVD sales? We should make sure to all buy a copy of S3 (or at least some of the earlier seasons now that they will be cheaper) to make sure that they're happy in that department.

  7. means that it lost viewers in the 18-49 demo and gained some with older/younger people

  8. I will never understand how a show loses or ains viewers in its second half hour block! Who does that? Oh I think 'I will check out the last half of a highly serialized show... lalala'. Or more confusing... ' I like it enough to tune in, but not to finish the show' .....

  9. :DDD You know the feeling when you come here to check out stupid numbers and you see 1.5 and youre like hum... thats not THAT good and then you remember ITS ALREADY RENEWED :DDDDD AW its a GREAT feeling any way. :DDDD I'm grinning like an idiot

  10. if you watch to things at the same time (or three if your me and crazy lol) at one point one is really great and you forget to switch channels lol :D thats my theory any way.

  11. Alternatively (in regards to Chanelle's explanation), the first moment of a new show essentially rides on the last moment of the previous show. The data for the first half hour probably is heavily influenced by how many people are on the channel to begin with. I know that, once I'm done a show I watch, I might keep chatting with friends while the channel keeps playing on mute.

  12. Well, Dawn Ostroff mentioned the other day that they wouldn't have a cliffhanger if there would be no Season 7. Just a hint maybe?

  13. I just want to say that I have only cried watching TV three times my entire life. When George Mason died in 24, the LOST finale, and Fringe "Bloodline". That episode SHOULD win every award in the book.. Why more people aren't watching Fringe is beyond my comprehension.

  14. Agreed. I think this is the first time I cried while watching Fringe.

  15. I cannot get over the amount of stupid shows America watches. It's unbelievable.

  16. Wonder what the ratings would have been without Basketball.

Just don't forget. Even though there are no new episodes for two Fridays watch the re-runs coming up. No time for slacking off just one second just because we got a 4th season. Keep at it, Fringies. Watch even the re-runs, keep blogging, keep "recruiting soldiers even if they are unwilling", spread the word.
    Fringe rules!

  17. I live in the U.S., and I know a number of very smart, career-driven people who have a few favorite reality shows that they like to watch. They just don't take TV that seriously and they have a few guilty pleasures. It doesn't match my taste, but there's nothing wrong with that. Their interests lie in places other than serialized TV dramas.
