Question of the Day - What is your ideal TV Crossover Episode?

23 Mar 2011

Welcome to another Question of the Day. Today's question comes from Leonie1988 who asks

"What is your ideal TV Crossover Episode?"

From Leonie

"Crossovers have been done many times, in small ways. It's mostly one character or two who visit the other show.

If you could put together an ultimate crossover extravaganza with three or four shows (cancelled or present), which would it be and why?

I would throw together NCIS with Weeds and The Pretender.

The NCIS team could chase the Botwins and Jarod could pose as a drug dealer. Miss Parker could try to bribe Nancy into telling her were Jarod is, while also being chased by NCIS. Oh that would be great! Though it would have to be three hours long at least."

Great question Leonie!

There are so many I can think of. X-Files/Fringe, Heroes/Sarah Connor, LOST/Chuck but I think I'd have to go with something like Fringe and Dollhouse.

So what about you, what would your ideal TV Crossover be? Which shows and why, and what can you think of for a plotline?

Get creative and sound off in the comments.

  1. lost and fringe ... olivia should wake up on the island at the end of the series

  2. Merlin and Doctor Who. The Doctor travels back to an early Camelot and meets them and Uther's all 'SORCERY!' and crazy stuff like that.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Supernatural and The Walking Dead

    ReplyDelete
  4. Fringe and Torchwood. Walter meets Captain Jack Harkness... would be great!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Fringe/White Collar.

Someone could be using unusual methods to steal/forge art in NY and it attracts the attention of Fringe Division. Mostly wanting this because I ship Peter Bishop/Neal Caffrey LIKE A BOSS.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I know Monk is over, but I would've love to have seen Shawn Spencer and Adrien Monk have to work together.
Of course the big one I could think of would be Jack Bauer and Michael Weston.
I also love someone's idea of Torchwood and Fringe.

  7. Fringe and Mad Men.

The Merry Pranksters paint Draper Sterling Cooper Price's offices walls with acid. Walter and Bell are among them.

The observer tells Don and Roger what excellent fashion sense they have.

Perhaps this is the plot to 3.19?

  8. fringe/x-files or fringe/dollhouse or fringe/lost

  9. Forgot to add a retro 60s opener with fringe science such as "wireless telephones," "automatic transmission," "birth control pill" etc.

    ReplyDelete
  10. We may as well say Fringe and Twin Peaks, given the several homages to the latter!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Fringe and Sister Wives. Peter can marry both Olivias. It's okay.

  12. A striking case of immense consequence leads Patty Hewes and co. to California for the clusterf*ck case of the century. However, when she arrives, her attempts to keep one step ahead of the FBI who lead their own investigation are squashed when she meets the up-and-comer Veronica Mars, lead FBI agent on the case. The two go head-to-head in a battle of wits that leads to something never seen on television before. (Season arc instead of a 1-episode type thing)

  13. Would love to see HRG either working for the company or Widmore and chasing after the Oceanic 6 or Fox River 8.

Or the Airja flight landing back in America to find the world is The Walking Dead and looking to hook up with the gang of survivors there.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think it would be cool for the people of LOST to get off the island only to find themselves in the world of The Walking Dead. Island don't seem so bad now, does it? lol

    ReplyDelete
  15. Walking dead and Jersey Shore, so I could see those assholes get eaten.

    ReplyDelete
  16. NCIS and Rizzoli & Isles. It would be interesting to see how they handled the Kate look alike.

    or

NCIS with Criminal Minds. Garcia & Abby would get along oh so well. =]

    ReplyDelete
  17. CSI Miami/Dexter. Just so that Dexter can kill Horatio, really.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Fringe/White Collar. It'd basically be Peter/Neal PWP.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't have an ideal crossover but I do have a few I'd like to see...

    Nikita / Human Target
House / Grey's Anatomy (I would LOVE to see House treat everyone at SGH like idiots for an hour.)
    Supernatural / Reno 911!
    Chuck / Psych

    ReplyDelete
  20. Fringe/Twin Peaks, would love to see Dale Cooper helping the Fringe team. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Fringe/Doctor Who, Doctor Who/Buffy, Supernatural/Fringe.

OK, so all of those would be just plain bizarre...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Fringe/Supernatural The Winchester could come from another universe - black opening titles for Fringe - and bring angels and demons to the Fringe verse. I just want Walter to make fun of Castiel that's all. Lol

  23. Well if we're talking crossovers that haven't happened yet: I'm still waiting for a "Bones" and "House" crossover, because I think having House and Bones interacting would cause many televisions to implode.

If we're talking more crossovers then: "Warehouse 13" and "Eureka" again, because I fell in love with Fargo/Claudia and I want them to see eachother (and even end their respective series together - they're PERFECT)! Plus, I'd love if we got more characters on the shows to crossover. Maybe explain a familiar connection between Dr. Carlson and Artie.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm still disappointed that the Bones / Lie To Me crossover never panned out.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Give me The Mentalist and House, and I'll have the paradise!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. HIMYM and Buffy! Willow escaped to the HIMYM world and created a new identity. So did Wes and Fred. Then the Powers That Be call all three back because their help is needed. (Fanfic idea that's been stuck in my head for years.)

    ReplyDelete
  27. But Dean and Sam would fix the zombie thing in an episode, thus making The Walking Dead a 1 episode show.

    Still...I do love that idea.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Supernatural/Criminal Minds. I'd love to see what the team would make of the Winchester brothers.

    ReplyDelete
  29. FRINGE / Bones
    Bones / Glee
    Fringe / The Event
    Eureka / Warehouse 13 ( Yes Again! )

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'd love to see a crossover of.... Castle and Bones!!! :D :D :D (Crossover between my own life and X-Files would be seriously awesome and flailseizure-inducing).

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm replying to my own post (fail!) but I forgot to add, Doctor Who and Fringe! They could do that.... that multiplying thing, remember when the Doctor multiplied into 2, and one of them went to live with Rose? :D Well Peter could be multiplied, so both Olivias would get their own Peter. No need to fight over one man. xD

    ReplyDelete
  32. DEXTER / DAMAGES / BREAKING BAD

    HOLY CRAP.
If Walter White meets Dexter meets Patty Hewes...My mind would just rip apart!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Monk and Psych? Thats like a dream! :) Love that idea

    ReplyDelete
  34. DAMN fine coffee! :D And HOT!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'd love to see the Sheriff shoot Znookie (Zombie Snookie!) in the face with a shotgun.

    ReplyDelete
  36. that would be an awesome crossover

    ReplyDelete
  37. Stargate SG1/NCIS - When I think of all the dead Marines at Cheyenne Mountain, I just itch to see Gibbs charging in to see what's going on and who's covering up what. Plus, if they took Abby with them? Abby meeting Teal'c? Gold :-) But as fun as that would be, it would be more likely to start with a sailor or Marine whose behavior suddenly changes drastically and who ends up dead and on Ducky's table with a strange wound in the back of his throat. The team would be racing to find the answers while the SGC was racing to contain exposure while also looking for where the Goa'uld took refuge. The showdown between Jack and Gibbs would be incredible.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Nurse Jackie AND The Sopranos. Tony could end up in hospital with amnesia and tell Jackie that she reminds him of someone

    ReplyDelete
  39. I wonder if the zombies would go for the onethat shows his abs all the time or the lil drunk munchkin... I wonder if walkers can get high from eating drunk morons.....

    ReplyDelete
  40. Mine would be Boston Legal and Harry's Law... well Boston Legal and any show that needs a snarky lawyer! I miss Alan Shore....

    ReplyDelete
  41. Burn Notice/White Collar. With Peter and Neil needing help from Michael. That would be awsome!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. well... a Crossover between all my favorite shows would be awesome :P
A new weird Fringe case would need the help of Bones' team and NCIS' team; there would also be Lost stuff, like the case happens on the island and Jack Bauer would have 24 hours to help those people to get out of the island... That would be quite strange but... why not ? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  43. Grey's Anatomy/House Weeds/Desperate Housewives

    ReplyDelete
  44. House and Body of Proof, only because I think that the chemistry between Hugh Laurie and Dana Delany would be pretty EPIC. And plus they're both doctors with attitude, what more could I want?!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Fringe and Alias because, having Sydney Bristow and Olivia Dunham kick some asses together would be too awesome!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Fringe and DW would be perfectly possible, since they both deal with alternate universes.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I had read that there was plans to be a Burn Notice/ Royal Pains crossover last year, but I like your idea more!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Criminal Minds and CSI Miami, or Castle and The Closer

    ReplyDelete
  49. Sounds like a winner. I love that idea.

    ReplyDelete
  50. 24 and NCIS Gibbs + Bauer=AWESOMENESS

    ReplyDelete
  51. Buffy with Fringe Sunnydale is the new universe! :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. supernatural and vampire diaries and criminal minds (but this could work with any vampire show or movie)
sam and dean enter town and waster every annoying vampire and werewolf in it
then the BAU is brought in to catch the serial killing duo and make an awesome profile of sam and dean
then sam and dean skip town coz they're awesome that way and coz they've killed all the vampires and werewolves

    ReplyDelete
  53. Psych and Community would totally work.

    ReplyDelete
  54. As stated before, a Fringe and Supernatural crossover would be cool (not to mention they could have a AltDean and AltSam!!!).
As for the crime procedural shows, I would find it very entertaining to see how Castle would act with Patrick Jane from the Mentalist (and how Lisbon and Beckett could relate!).
Finally, I would love to see the play between Olivia Dunham (and maybe even Peter) and Jack Bauer... considering they are two of the strongest characters (one male and one female).

    ReplyDelete
  55. NCIS and Criminal Minds! Abby and Garcia would rock together even more than they do on their own!!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. psych - chuck
white collar - prison break - breakout kings
    primeval - stargate sg1
    sanctuary - being human
    misfits - heroes

    ReplyDelete

  58. Miss Parker and Ziva i the same time at my tv? I could die. My two favorite women on TV ever!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. House/Glee I'd love to see House interact with the cast of Glee.

    ReplyDelete
  60. CSI and NCIS. Put Marg Helgenberger together with Mark Harmon & you've got major hubba-hubba!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Buffy/Firefly: The life of future slayers trying to fly under the Alliance radar.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Supernatural and Criminal Minds would be awesome - Sam and Dean could be working a job when the BAU gets notified of killings. They could catch Sam and Dean and somehow become partners with them on the hunt. Psych and Comminity would be super cool as well, since both shows are so tuned in with pop culture

    ReplyDelete
  63. Fringe and Castle would be amazing. :)

  64. doublevisionqst24 March 2011 at 07:53

Ummm... Lost and The Walking Dead anyone?!? ZOMBIE SEASON!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think House and SVU would be great, some murder case involving Cuddy and House - I think he'd make Elliot crazy.

But I'd also like the idea of Bones and House, Bones and SVU and why not a 3-show-crossover: Grey's- Private Pracitce and SVU -> Addison and Derek involved in some sex crime

    ReplyDelete
  66. Lost and Castle. Kate meets Castle, and struggles to "remember."

    ReplyDelete
  67. I agree, that would be the most "possible" crossover of the three. Olivia facing off with the Dalek....could you imagine? :P

    ReplyDelete
  68. Personally we would need to look at crossovers logically They would have to be in the same geographical area so a show based in SF would not interact with a show based in Boston. However a Show based in NY could interact with other shows in NY. So the crossovers which could happen is Covert Affairs/ The Event/ Bones since they are both based in DC, Dexter/ CSI Miami, Castle/ SVU, CSI NY/Blue Bloods, White Collar/Royal Pains, In Los Angeles Chuck/ Law in Order LA, In Las Vegas CSI/ Defenders

    ReplyDelete
  69. Well like on Bones they could travel to another part of the country. Hell the FBI can be anywhere in the country. A lot of shows could travel and it could always just be one character on vacation in that city happens to appear at a crime scene or be called in for a consult somehow getting them involved. So Fairly Legal could technically interact with Leverage. The thing that would need to be considered is what network it's one or if rival networks will allow the crossover.

  70. NCIS and Castle. My two favorite shows.

    ReplyDelete
  71. EPIC!!! You win. Everything.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Good point. And The Chicago Code and The Good Wife in Chicago. Caleb and Jarek arrest a guy and then Alicia and Will defend him.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Bones and Glee would be amazing!!!! I wanna see Booth burst out in song out of the blue!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. CASTLE AND BONES FTW!!!! THIS WOULD BE SO TOTALLY AMAZING...SO AMAZING THAT I USED ALL CAPS...

    ReplyDelete
  75. Another excuse for us to see House sing!!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hehehe...I wonder if Beckett reads McGee's books...? :P

    ReplyDelete
  77. Who knows. It sounds like her kind of book.:D

    ReplyDelete
  78. Dexter \ Criminal Minds Would Be Awesome
Profiler \ Criminal Minds Just Because

    ReplyDelete
  79. Supernatural and Gossip Girl - I'd love to see the Winchesters try to pry information from some Upper East Siders.. and the plot could get so twisty with all the secrets they have on each other!
